“Change in ownership and name didn't hurt this place in the way of thinking that a good Mexican food place is still in the neighborhood. Got great food on a recent visit for carry out, everything was delicious and If we had more time would have done in. Great hidden gem.”

“This place is really a 💎 in downtown Aurora! I am a huge açaí fan and the OG bowl was exactly what I needed. They spent 45 minutes hand cutting and mixing my juices which were all phenomenal. The beast mode protein shake was delicious as well 😋 I will be back to try more items and the rest of the juices; I cannot get enough! 🫚🍏🍌🍓🫐🍍🥒🍋”

“Family friendly restaurant that is ran and owned by a local family. I came here with coworkers but that same weekend I had to bring my family because it’s so good. The food is delicious and the servings size are well worth it. They have a fresh homemade lemonade that is absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back. This is truly a hidden gem in Aurora.”

“I understand this restaurant is new & that is why I gave it a 4. Aurora needs a place like this. The service was awful & saw her standing around a lot. However, once we got the manager involved- the service from others was excellent. We never got our drinks. An hour & 1/2 on a non busy night isn't great. The food on the other hand was outstanding! The steak was tender & incredible flavor! The mashed potatoes were so good. The tiramisu was extremely good! If they can work on this service- it would be great! The piano bar was awesome downstairs! Incredible music & atmosphere!”

“Right as we walked in, we were greeted, welcomed and felt like we were walking into someone’s home. The food was very delicious and so full of flavor. For an appetizer we ordered the yuca con queso and I should’ve ordered 4 to take home. The cheese inside made it so delicious. We had the Asado en Olla, Mojadito y Milanesa de Pollo. The meat was tender and melted in your mouth. All the dishes were unique. You also have to get the agua de Maracuyá, delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try more items on the menu!”

“Wow! This place exceeded our expectations. We have a seafood place we love in Chicago but wanted to stay local in Aurora and El Captain was great. We had the Red Snapper and Lagostinos both were great options with great flavor. We will be back for more.”

“I have not been to the Original Assembly in Hoffman Estates in about 20 years. I always remember that as being a great place to eat. I was thrilled when I saw this location opened. I have to say that it was just average. I had the bionic burger. Presentation was great. The pretzel bun was okay (kinda hard). The bacon was plentiful but tough to chew. Sautéed onions were very good. The patty was large and cooked to medium like I asked. Not a whole lot of taste or seasoning but not bad. (Average) Lots of employees. So many they are just standing around by the bar. We did have two jumbo pretzels as an appetizer. Not very jumbo. Even Rookies has a bigger pretzel. Figured something was up when they asked if you want a second one for 2 bucks. Lastly I thought the price was a bit high. 18 bucks for a burger. I think that pricey for an average burger. They do charge 3% if you use a debit or charge card. Would I go back? Probably not for burgers. The Tracks in Cary I still think has an outstanding burger and more cost effective.”

“Amazing Amazing Amazing it’s that good ! From walking in the doors to sitting at a high bar stool or a nice and cozy booth/table. The different kind of classic Edison lights draped around the room is great for the atmosphere. The service was one point and food matched. The refresher “ strawberry hibiscus” I recommend to everyone! Seriously great. Everything came out fresh and hot. One of the best places I’ve been in a while and I travel 3 weeks of every month and LOVE great food and trying new places out. Definitely Top notch Maple and Hash ! Brunch was Amazing ! From South Carolina”

“5+3🌟 We were just coming through the area, and we saw the sign It said best barbecue in town. So naturally, being curious we stopped. The owner, Ricardo, was very engaging. He talked about the history of the establishment and it's sister store in California. The tri-tip of course was delicious, so was the chicken, and the pork ribs! The macaroni and cheese was very tasty with white cheddar, the beans were spicy and flavorful. The sauce really wasn't necessary as the meat had a delicious patina. But, the sauce was good. The slaw was not a sweet slaw, very different but enjoyable. And of course they have all sorts of mixed drinks and beer. A very nice four screen setup in the center, will keep you abreast of sports and news. A very inviting atmosphere, and the bathrooms are spotless! And you know what they say, clean bathroom clean kitchen! If you haven't been, you've got to go lol, And I don't mean the bathroom. 🤔🤣 See the pics, I tried to do it justice! Again, Ricardo, thank you my brother!.....”

“This restaurant, "Puebolito Escondito El Pareceo" has traditional Columbian dishes that go down too well. The atmosphere is perfect for date nights. The printed menu is for dine in and the tablet menu is for "fast food". I hope they print both and upload the pictures to a website. The prices could be a little better for some dishes. We have been twice and liked when they had the music playing. I wish they had printed receipts not just electronic because we can't see the itemized bill or tip (they're still learning) and tap water instead of bottled water. It's not a place for a quick dinner, or traditional American, but that's not why we came here. If you like a taste of Colomian culture that's run by a family (the owner and his son will take good care of you there), this place has the potential to be great. They have to get their name out there and acclimate to American table service customs. But be patient and you'll have some of the tastiest food in town.”

“This is some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Everything that everyone at our table ordered was delicious. I didn't get a chance to take many pictures or even well lit ones. However, I still wanted to give a review because they definitely deserve 4-5 stars. I wish there was an option 4.5 stars because they definitely deserve 5 stars for food and atmosphere. However, on this Saturday night the service was below average. It did not ruin the experience and we will still go back and hope it has improved by then.”

“We stopped in to grab some quick breakfast and were impressed by the large menu, prices, and customer service! We chose the piña colada smoothie from the Super Foods section, the hummus toast, and the seasonal Mistletoe toast. Everything was absolutely delicious. The place has plenty of seating options and good atmosphere. We will absolutely be back, Elgin NEEDED a healthy place to eat!!”

“Such incredible food! You would expect quality and flavors like this from a 5 star place in downtown Chicago. Fresh ingredients you can taste, everything made from scratch, every detail well thought out. The fried-ground catfish will live in my dreams. How it's crunchy and juicy and so flavorful is mind-boggling! The basil duck was excellent and on the spicy side, the salted fish and crab fried rice was delicious, the real crab in the crab rangoon was awesome, and the fried taro was the potato replacement you never knew you needed! Grilled calamari tasted deliciously marinated and was cooked to perfection. The thai iced tea was a treat, and so was the ice cream! A very quiet and very clean establishment. Excellent service and a great place to bring the family. Highly recommend and we will absolutely be back to try more!”

“Great neighborhood pub. Staff is so welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty for pub grub. On Friday or Saturday night after 4 pm, I can enjoy a nice salad and baked potato for under $7. My hubby likes the black bean burger and always finds something interesting to try from the craft beer menu. You can even bring your fur baby when the patio is open!”

“Beautiful venue! I saw Matteo Bocelli which was phenomenal! Seating inside and very accessible as it’s located on the first floor with no stairs. Balcony seating available as well for some events. The staff is kind and attentive. It is a very intimate venue which I enjoy for music. Lots of restaurants nearby. Free garages and multiple parking lots nearby. Located right downtown St. Charles.”

“The bone-in and boneless wings are perfectly seasoned, breaded, and fried. They are super crunchy and flavorful. One of the best and most unique flavors is salted egg. Because this wings joint is Filipino-owned, you can order rice to eat with your wings! Ordering their different flavored fries is a must. Buldak fries is to die for!”

“The drinks here are fantastic, especially their specialty. Margaritas which come with a light foam topping. The drink menu is not surprisingly heavy on tequila and mezcal cocktails, and the mixologists do a great job of adjusting drinks to customers tastes. I've never had food here except for small plates and nibbles, but the chips come very fresh accompanied by three salsas, including a spicy jalapeno one and a nice smoky red one. The tacos are small, and it's nice that you can order them al a cart if you are. Just looking for a happy hour nibble.”

“We went a couple weeks ago for lunch on a Saturday and were so impressed by how warm and welcoming the staff were. There were no available tables at the time, but they walked up to us and asked if we’d like something to drink while we waited. I loved my burger and my husband loved the chicken sandwich - it’s been hard to find a good chicken sandwich in Batavia that’s not from a chain or fast food place. The Gouda mac and cheese bites were great too. Food reasonably priced and $3 drafts are great. Definitely recommend and will return! Great addition to Batavia.”
