“Enjoyed our visit. Good food and child friendly. We got grilled cheese, Tomato soup, muffins and avocado toast. All was fantastic. I’m not a pure vegan but enjoy the food for environmental and health reasons. This place gave me a new reason to eat vegan: Because it tastes good! Our kids got to read “Little Blue Truck” which they love since they sell books there. They also got to have a bit of freedom with the venue having a lot of open space.”

“I want to preface this by saying that I think this new location is still getting their feet under them, so I will give them another chance at a later date! I think there is a lot of potential here, and things were only not perfect because they are not used to the volume of orders they're getting here in Grayslake. I think when they get the system down, now that they're trying to be a take-out place, they'll be very good. I honestly felt bad when I went in to order, the workers were obviously harried. They said they were not answering the phone anymore because they were so behind. It was ringing off the hook. They obviously wanted to be doing a good job and were just overwhelmed, so I feel for them. They were still really nice to me even though things were crazy. Had the Fig and Prosciutto sandwich -- there was an enormous amount of fig, but only a little bit of prosciutto and goat cheese. I had to scrape most of the fig off, there was a LOT of it. But the order was correct, and the idea was sound, so I give them credit for that. The bagel chips and dip were fine. I had the tiramisu as well and it was very good! I hope they figure out a system for being a take out place, and maybe hire some more kitchen staff. They are getting enough business here for it to be worth it!”

“Their chicken is pretty solid. Very satisfying and crunchy. The sides come in ample amounts too, and the sauce is really really good. When I ordered I ordered a box combo for here and one to go, they forgot to give me one to go but when I asked about it they began making it immediately and gave me a coupon. Very kind service, and they kept the restaurant very very clean (tables around us got cleaned twice during our 25 minute dinner). There was a super long line and about a 25-30 minute wait, but that was probably since today was the first day. Will come back!”

“Where do I start? In the general area there is a lack of Caribbean food with consistency, and so I was interested to see what this place had to offer. I ordered the Jerk Chicken which includes Plantains and Cornbread plus you get to pick 3 additional sides. After trying Caribbean food in multiple states and multiple locations within different states, this place hands down has the best Caribbean food I have tried. I highly recommend visiting and getting your Caribbean fix here, all of the food was fresh, hot, and unique, it tasted amazing!”

“It's a very loud environment with all the echo from everyone talking. The food is very pricey for the quality that's put out. Either the quality needs to be upped or the price needs to be dropped. Our server forgot requested items (wanting to order desert, a beer menu and a refill) a few times but she may have been nervous since it was opening night. “Lucky I found this new spot on the bike tonight only 7 days after it opened replacing the frozen yogurt place we consumed too many calories at. At Poke Bros. the options were great and so was the taste. Will definitely make this a regular healthy meal option. It's also a bonus that we could bike from home to here in under 20 minutes. A little exercise before and after dinner is great. Best part is that it’s dairy free.”
