“Excellent greasy spoon/diner style burger joint. Has a rich history behind both the building and the root beer they're famous for. The burgers were a decadent delight. Seating arrangement forces you to be elbow to elbow with those seated next to you, but that's part of the charm. Plenty of outdoor table seating. Located in West Lafayette, close to the Purdue campus and plenty of other food and drink establishments.”

“Yummy food, nice waitstaff, cool scenery, clean restrooms, ample parking. The food is great, the atmosphere is okay. "Okay" as in, the resaurant felt a little bit dusty, and the dude behind the register did not smile at any point. However, the waitstaff was excellent. I believe the manager or owner was behind the register at the time when I paid. He was the only one in the restaurant not wearing a uniformed shirt. There are a lot of interesting newspaper clippings and articles along the walls when you enter, which are all regarding the fame and history of the restaurant. There are also LOTS of sports memorabilia and sport related knickknacks in the restaurant. Parking was supple, and free. The restrooms are very clean. So, 4 out of 5 due to perceived indifference from the manager or owner behind the register. He seemed to want my money, but not my business, if that makes sense.”

“Huge servings for a very affordable price. I got the chicken quarter and fried calamari. The chicken was hot and juicy, very tender and the crust was spectacular. You can tell they put a lot of love into it. The calamari were not rubbery!! and worked really well with the Dusk Till Dawn Sauce. The Sunrise Clergy specialty drink was amazing, highly recommended if you like mint and lemon (fresh ingredients in the actual drink) - not too sweet and not overpowering. Staff were nice and friendly and service was decently quick for the quantity and quality. Overall, a huge recommendation from me and my stomach! I'll be back ????????”

“Great little place for those seeking something a little different to scratch that itch for delicious Chinese food. Their selections seem more authentic to me. Though they have many of the standard "Hong Kong" style Chinese dishes that you'll find anywhere, they also have a list of more authentic items that seem like a minefield to the unfamiliar. So far we've tried the Princess Chicken, the Salt & Pepper Chicken, and the Chengdu Dry Chili chicken. All have been fantastic, especially the Chengdu. One word of warning for those with a delicate mouth - if they say something is spicy, they mean it. It may very well light up your face.”
