“We are from a few hours out of town but come this way for fishing every year. While it has ALWAYS been an excellent experience at this Casey’s, our experience this weekend was phenomenal. We had to make several trips to this particular Casey’s this year and each time Angela (I believe was her name) was as helpful, friendly, and attentive. The subs were excellent, made with nothing less than great conversation and willingness to help, unlike our local Casey’s location. This location AND Angela deserve nothing less than five stars. Thank you for a great experience!”

“Great to see this restaurant back! Service was excellent. Our salad dressings were homemade and delicious. The cod was lightly breaded and delicious. Tarter sauce homemade and outstanding. Loved the added touch of the relish tray. Way more than my husband and I could eat. We will be back.”

“Super friendly, clean, and well maintained. Basically a typical small town tavern with a beer selection to match, but you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his establishment and provided fantastic and friendly service. We had the Sunday ribeye special which was tasty and a great bargain.”

“Saturday night Prime Rib—Better be great or else! Too many area restaurants do it right..At Old Man River—It was OR Else! Medium Rare turned out to be Medium to Well. Brought the fact to both the Waitress( who said prior to serving she brought the fact to the kitchens attention and was told”it was fine”.) And the hostess neither of whom made any effort to replace, refund or even reduce our $85.00 (for 2!) bill.Great looking restaurant, great location, had great Pizza here in the past, but go somewhere else if your looking for Prime!”

“We didn't stay here, we ate here. The food was amazing. My husband and daughter had a full rack of ribs and the meat just falls off the bone, it's so tender. The flavor is great and the service was friendly too. The prices were good. It's got a great, historical atmosphere, with wide plank flooring and a tin ceiling.”

“Hearty, homestyle food in a charming location. The fried chicken was very tasty!”

“Local joint on the water. Food is average, Chicken sandwich was simple but good. Sloppy joe was exactly that. Fries were way under cooked and soggy. You order at a window and take your number to wait for someone to yell it out, to then go get your own food. Inside the building seemed to have no air conditioning at all and was not very clean. Outside was almost as hot and no fans and most tables have no umbrellas either. It's super bare bones and only serve beer. Will try another restaurant next time for sure! Good view of the river though.”
