“The sushi is pretty good for a quick lunch place, free samples in around lunch time and friendly staff but they use far too much packaging for the combo meal and paper bowls for the soup. (See pictures) Got to find a way to condense the meal so there is less waste. The picture of the combo is missing the cabbage salad that comes with the meal that is in a whole new container. So 3 plastic and styrofoam containers for a $10-$12 meal. The soup pictured below was transported across the street from the restaurant and it was a mess. Also, they have egg rolls listed on their menu, but they are actually the same thing as their spring rolls. Unless I'm mistaken. A friend ordered an order of egg rolls and got 3 spring rolls like the one in the meal picture and I have not seen any egg rolls in their display counter like all the other appetizers.”

“Long story. Ordered 2 appetizers, jumbo shrimp w/Bourbon BBQ sauce & 3 ribs w/ fries. Shrimp not jumbo and had drizzle of sauce. They were the steamed ones like you buy at grocery. Not fried/sautéed, just plain. Ribs cooked hard as stone, could not even break them apart. But waitress was very apologetic and my meal comped and ribs/fries replaced with hot, good ones. The stars are for their professionalism. 4 sauces were good and my neat Bullet bourbon was at least 2 shots each round. That was not comped. I'll probably give them another try.”

“We had a great time with a group of my husband's coworkers, eating and drinking out on the patio. Our server did well keeping up with orders as the group got larger over time, possibly up to 15 people. The only disappointment I had was the onion rings. They were overdone and dried out. The onion was a thin strip inside crumbling dark brown breading. Other than that the food was good from what I gathered from the others in our group. I enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken wrap, my husband said the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was ok, someone else had Chips with Salsa and Queso dip, another had BBQ wings and Fries, a French Dip sub, Pulled Pork egg rolls (looked odd but she said they were good), Loaded Fries... that was just my end of the table. We saw on the menu that they offer Brunch and that is something we enjoy on the weekend, so we will be back to try it sometime.”

“What strikes you when you visit Popoli is the beautiful wall covering and the stained glasses. It really enhances your dining experience sitting in a historic building and enjoying your food. As for the food, they have a very good selection of different dishes with king crabs being their favorite, which incidentally was sold out. Their starters are very good and we had 4 of them for a group of 5 and it was all gone in a few minutes. Their entrees are good too with so many choices that you are not sure which one to choose. The service is good and the waitress was attentive and helpful.”

“The Flying Weenie is one of a kind. If you are in the CeDUH Rapids, Iowa area, it is simply a MUST STOP to eat! Authentic Chicago Dogs, Italian Sausages (which the owner grinds, seasons, and stuffs himself), gyros, home made fries, and everything else on the menu is to die for! A job moved us away from the area, the great flood came in 2008 - but the Gods saved this place from flood waters and it it still alive, well, and delicious as ever! What a treat after 11 years away! Reasonably priced Everything made fresh to order, so it could take a little time, but your patience will be rewarded and your taste buds will thank you! Can't miss it. Fashioned out of an old gas and service station, and an airplane 'crashed' on the roof. Brightly colored. Did not appear handicap friendly as far as wheelchairs go. “Wasn't really busy when we showed up around 2:30pm on a Saturday, bartender told us to seat ourselves wherever. He was really attentive even after seating ourselves at a booth pretty far from the bar. Pretzel coated cheeseballs were good, their ranch is thick and creamy. We both ordered the baked potatoes and got the full order, which is two full potatoes. Two people could easily split the full order and come away full with possible leftovers. Wall decor is eye catching and there are multiple large TV's throughout the restaurant. They were willing to change it to accommodate sporting event requests. Would be a great place to catch the game and hang out with a group of friends. Definitely wanting to go back to try more of their menu!”

“I love places with a more refined menu. It has enough choices to avoid second guessing your pick but peaking your interest to return and try something else. We enjoyed a bottle of cab and, Olive Garden take note, the glasses were crystal clear and made for a pleasant drinking experience. The street tacos were really tasty with fresh ingredients adding great flavor and add on the black bean salad which really pulled it together. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. I thought the chorizo would really overpower them but it was perfectly balanced. Poutine was the reason we chose the LP as my sister has had this and really enjoyed it. The only thing that I was told was wrong is the tots should be fries. Personally I love tots and the dish was perfect! Maybe more meat? But who wouldn't want more meat. The atmosphere is great with music playing and a good amount of space between the kitchen and floor allowing a conversation to be had without having to yell. The staff is really friendly and attentive. Maybe add a few more wine options but other than that, it's a perfect spot with a very reasonable priced menu.”

“Happily, this is not a cookie cutter chain Mexican restaurant. The menu has a nice range of options and the food is good. The drinks are sizeable and reasonably priced. The wait staff is pleasant and helpful. Is this the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to? No. But it is consistently good, and is solidly pleasant neighborhood restaurant. My niece lives in the neighborhood, and when we visit we often come to this restaurant, and will continue to do so.”
