“We had our first experience dining at this restaurant tonight and we were thrilled with the results! The waitress was amazing; she made us laugh and feel like we should have been regulars by now. The food was delicious! I had the curry and my fiancé had the spicy noodles. We both asked for spicy, but the flavors didn’t get lost in a pepper bomb for pepper bomb sake. Everything was well balanced and flavorful! I would highly recommend Thai Flavors if you are in need of a great dinner!”

“This place is fantastic! This caliber of restaurant is so needed in Des Moines. I wouldn't hesitate to take family, friends, or business associates here. It is a very impressive place. Even with limited staff when we were there, they provided excellent service. We loved the atmosphere, customer service, menu, drinks etc. It was all top notch & we felt like we were eating in a larger city. The prices were very fair for the menu - all fabulous choices. Although we didn't sit at the bar (due to Omicron), it looked very fun, We will be back, I cannot recommend this place enough. It is so great to have this place as an option in town.”

“That pecan pie boy, with whip cream and ice cream….. Tell your grandma to get out the kitchen and have a seat and relax. I always loved Fat Tuesday’s alligator but it was always a little overpriced with not enough portions but the Big East’s is basically the same goodness graciousness with a greater portions for around the same $ amount so they’ve got that going for them. That’s all I can say for now because I’ve only been there once but so far so good. The same lady who used to be back in the kitchen at FT is still in the house holding down the fort so things are still all good down on SW 9th in my book. P.S. No more frog legs on the menu but I’ll live.”

“This woman is absolutely amazing!! As well as her food is spectacular. We showed up around 11:15 my wife, kids, and I and she was only open for her catering. She completely went out of her way to be sure that we got to try her amazing food! And even offered for my family to come in and eat with us being the only ones there! I didn’t know what exactly to get so I sent the boss in (my wife)!!! And she got to see how she made everything and it’s all so fresh best everything in town NO JOKE if you haven’t tried this it’s a must. I love the use of a sesame bun, you don't see that very often anymore! The vibe in the restaurant is awesome, a sort of modern retro diner vibe and I love it!
