“Everyone loved their food. The coffee was good and the mimosas are always on point. Get the boudin eggs with extra cheese and you won't regret it! This is a great hidden gem you should try! It is perfect to bring the family, your girl or even just sit at the bar and eat by yourself. They even have a few seats outside.”

“This place is fantastic! Come here for waffle greatness! Great staff, very polite and considerate. The food (I ate it all before making this post...) was excellent. Lots of flavor, light but hearty at the same time. If I’m ever in NOLA again, I will definitely return.”

“I had the chance to discover this amazing Tunisian restaurant during my time in NOLA. The food is of high quality, and the owner is very friendly! I was particularly spoiled with mouthwatering Tunisian dishes when he discovered that I come from the same city in Tunisia. A memorable happy time at Jamila's.”

“Food came out quickly. So yummy. We had a bagel, green eggs and ham, and the avocado toast. All very tasty and satisfying, but not too heavy. They have a variety of coffee (regular, espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.) and some pastries too. My sandwich was on a croissant (you can choose your bread) and it was sooo flaky. Every time I touched it you got that crinkle.”

“A favorite spot for breakfast since they opened. The decor is cheerful and chic and features local artists' work. Service is fast and they always greet you with a smile. Fantastic coffee. Creamiest grits I've ever had. If you don't like grits, try them. If you like grits, try them. They are rich and smooth and comforting and everything that's right with the world. I ordered the Baja omelet and it was wonderful, as always. The flavors in black beans complement the ranchero sauce nicely. My friend ordered the kitchen sink grits and now I have a new favorite dish. Dad ordered the mushroom omelet with a side of biscuit and gravy. It was nice. The table shared the lemon blueberry muffins we enjoyed them immensely. They were out of their morning glory muffins, which made me sad because they are amazeballs. If they have them, grab one.”

“Hands down my favorite part of my New Orleans trip. The food was fantastic. I had the bannana Foster's French toast and my friends got the pulled pork eggs Benedict and all of it was just simply amazing. The fresh fruit juices were actually fresh, and not too sweet or too tart. The best part however was the fantastic service. We felt like we were invited into their home and we got great local recommendations. Can't recommend them enough!”

“This unassuming little spot has definitely earned its reputation! Good coffee, nice specials, consistent food, and fantastic local artwork with occasional live music come together for a perfect brunch experience. If you've never had them, the grits here are some of the best in the city! Check out the postcards and greeting cards from local artists too!”

“This is hands down the best biscuit/ breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’m not a vegan. It’s been almost a year my boyfriend and I went and we still talk about how good it is almost every week. I cannot describe how good they are with my limited vocabulary so you’ll just have to go try for yourself. I highly recommend the pumpkin biscuit sandwich and any of the brioche. You won’t regret it”

“It is a McDonalds. The truck rolls in and they unload boxes and boxes of frozen goodness to put in the mcfreezer just waiting for your mcorder. Does not matter if touchscreen or friendly mcworker, that stuff goes from 0 degrees to piping hot just for you in a custom wrapper. Now how about the mcservice? Weeelll now, ya just never know do ya, eh. Might roll in today and get a quickie with a big mcsmile and leave with a big Ronald McDonald grin yourself. Next day ya thinkin “I want some more of that” and roll on in’ere. Mistake, ya get a grunge order, cold grub, maybe the wrong stuff and leave feelin’ like a victem of hamburglar himself. So go ahead and roll up in’ere today like I did and git summa dat.”

“Decent coffee shop in the bywater area. The staff are really friendly. they have fresh juices but they don't always have specific flavors in the cooler. They have a decent breakfast and lunch menu but their quality is okay. The food is fresh but not too creative. It's a nice spacious seating area inside and outside. I often see families here.”

“I don't often have great service at this McDonald's, but I keep going because it's close to work and I like the Happy Meal toys. The fries were better this time, but my cheeseburger was stale and dry. I couldn't even eat it. This time, they actually took my card as payment, then asked me to wait. They closed the window and then a supervisor came back and asked if I had cash, which I did not, but offered a different card in case something happened with the first one. They closed the window again, processed the payment, then opened the window and apologized, saying they accidentally pressed the wrong button. One time I came, i waited in the drive through for 15 minutes without budging, so I parked and went in, where I waited another half hour for my meal, opened the bag, and realized they didn't even put a toy in the meal. I had thi wait five more minutes as the woman kept whizzing past me to help other customers and fill orders with me trying to get her attention. 3/5 times I come, the fries are cooked with old oil or cold. I usually go between 2 and 6pm. I need to find another McDonald's.”

“One of the best spots for vegan options during my NO visit. The restaurant seems to be between comfort and bar food with healthier options than the typical bar restaurant. The sushi rice bowl was my favorite and while there I think I ate the entire vegan portion of the menu with my gal. Customer service was great and the outside area is the best place to eat in the spring. One major issue was a band of smelly misfits who let their street dogs roam around. Not sure why the restaurant allowed that....”

“Very homie little restaurant in the bywater neighborhood. Very friendly staff and quick service. The food is very satisfying and fresh. It's easy to find and has a very distinctive sign. The art in the restaurant is quirky and fun. Very comfortable seating and spacious area. It's on the main road so it's easy to find. I had the lasagna and it was delicious. The salad is not wimpy like a other restaurants that have a simple menu. It was fresh and the dressing was tasty.”

“Great spot when visiting New Orleans! We were planning on continuing our road trip but we wanted to have a nice filling authentic breakfast. After trying out the beignets at Cafe du Monde and some gator bites and Po Boys at Mahoneys, those establishments kind of let us down in flavor. The menu items were all right but nothing to be like Wow! Amazing New Orleans cuisine, we saw great reviews to this place and we are glad that we decided to check it out! We started off with the grilled alligator bites since Mahoneys was a disappointment but they were MUCH better here at Street car cafe, and then we decided to split a New Orleans Sampler Platter that consisted of Red Beans and Rice, Jamabalaya, Cajun Rice, and a biscuit. Everything was great! We also sat by the window and it was nice to see the street car actually pass by every 10-15 min and have a nice view on why it's called Street Car Cafe. Service was great and we would definitely return if we are back in New Orleans again!”

“Can’t recommend this place enough. The brioches, breakfast sandwiches, hot sandwiches and the bread are all top notch. My personal favorites: Breakfast sandwich - pumpkin cheddar Brioche - maple cinnamon pecan and Boston cream Hot Sandwich - Big Daddy w/ house burger It’s king cake season and most of the king cakes I’ve tried around the city can’t compare to Breads on Oak’s. If you want a variety of king cake guaranteed to be delicious this is the place to go.”
