Dong Phuong Bakery & Restaurant

Address: 14207 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70129, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Finally got my hands on one of their famous king cakes. I got mine at bouree restaurant, which opens at 11 am so it’s nice for all the ppl who don’t make it to the other stores which open at 8 am. I’m from out of town. I recommend going to one of their official resale locations. You’ll have better luck getting one. The actual bakery sells out very quickly. I got the cream cheese. I do have to say although it was very delicious it did seem to be overrated, maybe I should’ve gotten the traditional cinnamon as my first time trying, I hear that one is the best out of the flavors. The cream cheese icing on top is very light and airy, almost a whipped consistency, the filling is mainly in the middle, the outer edges don’t have any filling so it’s not overly stuffed which is nice. The dough is very soft! It’s a nice size too, could feed a decent sized party easily. I would definitely try it again next time I get the chance !”

PJ's Coffee

“I really like supporting local businesses. This PJs really made me happy. Sooooo happy I stopped in for a hot mocha. The ladies greeted me with a smile and had outstanding customer service. Anytime I'm in the area(or you are) I'll def stop in for a smile and coffee.”

Willa Jean

Address: 611 O'Keefe Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Everything is delicious here! It’s easy to stop in for a coffee and baked good, or have a seat and really get into the menu. I’ve come here several times now and it never disappoints. I’m making my way down their biscuit selection and the shrimp and grits has a lot of flavor. I’d recommend making a reservation or planning to get your food to go and eating at one of the outside tables. This place can definitely get busy.”

Wishing Town Restaurant & Bakery

Address: 802 Nashville Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115, USA

Restaurant Bakery

“My husband and I ate here and everything we ate was delicious! We had the Bird’s Nest Garlic Shrimp appetizer, spicy seafood soup noodle (I ordered mine without crab meat), tiramisu cheesecake, and blue berry cheesecake. The seafood soup was one of the best soups I’ve ever eaten. Plus the customer service was excellent. I didn’t get the waitress name, but she was so polite. We’re looking forward to eating here many more times. Highly recommend!”

PJ's Coffee

Address: 5432 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“PJ's coffee is one of the best roasters in New Orleans, with many locations throughout the city and region. This particular store on Magazine Street is always clean, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The courtyard is a truly peaceful spot, with beautiful alcoves equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy coffee with friends, or read/study in. Inside, the store features several lounge-style rooms with cafe tables and couches. Overall it is generally a quiet and upscale coffee shop, while much less expensive than many national chain coffee shops.”

“I was in New Orleans for a work meeting. On the day I was leaving. I saw this great little spot down the street from me. It's a really well designed outside and inside space. It's so welcoming green and with simple but tasteful decorations. It's very unique and authentic and how the furniture and art and architecture has been designed for the space. The food is well thought out, diverse and fresh. There's something for everybody. The coffee is delicious and well selected. The staff are so friendly and efficient.”

Southshore Donuts & Restaurant

Address: 7929 Downman Rd, New Orleans, LA 70126, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Shrimp plate was BANGING! We went just after 7pm and had to wait a bit for our food but it was worth it. They still had a good selection of donuts as well. When we looked for a place to pick up dinner we saw this place had decent reviews from locals, but the menu was from 2007. Wanted to upload the 2023 version to show prices haven't gone up much and you still get alot of food for your money.”

PJ's Coffee

Address: 6600 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“I buy coffee at the drive-thru. The problem with this location is that the drive-thru attendant, regardless of which employee it is, always smiles and says would you like to leave a tip? It's embarrassing and I feel pressured. I don't feel like drive-thru should be asking for tips. It makes my purchase awkward. I've stopped going to this location because of it. Yes I know I could say no, which I never do, because I feel pressured.”

“Went to District today and tried the fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was fried perfectly, not over cooked. The bun was fresh and it was topped with just enough slaw to drip on your fingers but not need utensils. Best chicken sandwich ever. I love this neighborhood location. Staff is friendly and even though they were busy the food was quick. Keep up the good work guys!”

Breads On Oak

Address: 8640 Oak St suite a, New Orleans, LA 70118, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“This is hands down the best biscuit/ breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’m not a vegan. It’s been almost a year my boyfriend and I went and we still talk about how good it is almost every week. I cannot describe how good they are with my limited vocabulary so you’ll just have to go try for yourself. I highly recommend the pumpkin biscuit sandwich and any of the brioche. You won’t regret it”

Parkway Bakery & Tavern

Address: 538 Hagan Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119, USA

“If anyone knows me they know I love this sandwich shop. It reminds me of growing up when I would go to my favorite neighborhood sandwich shops around the New Orleans area. The Surf-N-Turf should be illegal it's so good. Also the shrimp poboy and roast beef are just as great as stand alone sandwiches. Every time I come back home this is the second place I go after I drop off my luggage :D. I hope they will be around for the next 300 years at least.”

The service was great, the prices are great, the location is clean and there is an array of beautiful pastries and breads. I ordered a fruit tart, but it lacked an immense amount of sweetness. My friend ordered a croissant and was very pleased. I will return and do recommend others visit as well.”
