“They give you baskets of bacon... okay, that’s pretty legit. Literally, such a fun bar, you can sit in a porch swing, saddle, barrel, etc. The location is perfect, tucked in, on one of my favorite cobblestone roads in the Old Port. I’m actually not sure if you can get other food besides bacon, but that’s totally fine, it’s all about having fun at the Bonfire!!!”

“Starbucks are mostly the same, but this one really has great people working behind the counter. I live nearby and my daughter and I stop in often for a treat. The staff here had gotten to know my little toddler and always make her feel very special by giving her a hearty greeting and asking her about her day, etc. It's much appreciated. Starbucks is obviously a mega corporation, but when the people working there are friendly and community minded it makes it feel like an earned part of our town.”

“This was one of the best experiences I’ve had during the pandemic. Everybody pretty much everywhere has seemed grumpy, but not so at Free Range. The person checking me out at was one of the happiest, friendliest people I’ve spoken to in months - and all just while I was picking up some lobster. And yeah, this place smells like a fish market, but wearing a mask actually makes it a bit more pleasant. Lobster was great - cooked to perfection, and unbelievably affordable. Will be visiting regularly from now on.”

“This place was great and a real treat. The staff was very laid back but professional and helpful. The food came out quickly and it was delicious! The portions are reasonable- Actually the first spot where we didn't feel stuffed and struggling to finish the plate. Perfect amount for a lunch. We had the Mediterranean Gyro and Icelandic Hot Dog- which apparent was the best hot dog my boyfriend has ever had. This is saying a lot! I would definitely recommend this spot. Atmosphere is relaxed. Decor is interesting.”

“One word to describe this experience, Amazing! From the quality of the food, the drinks, the service just everything was absolutely perfect. We tried the vegetarian chef tasting which included a variety of small plates and included a dessert course as well. All the staff was attentive and extremely helpful. “This is the BEST pasta I’ve ever had. The sauce is perfect, the filling in the ravioli is perfect, the service was great, everything. My dad got the special which was duck breast in a white sauce and loved it. Our waitress was very friendly (I think she might also be an owner) and was happy to make conversation. A perfect last dinner in Maine and a wonderful end to our vacation :)”
