“Can't complain. Food is fresh and hot. Staff is friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. I prefer to sit at the bar and watch the local news or a sports event while I eat.”

“Good food but mot a good value for the money. Pizza choices are 10" or 16" We ordered an Antipasta salad to go. It was small but on the menu as a large. Spring mix greens, 1 tomato slice, onions & rolled meats/ cheese. Would have been better if the salad to meats ratio was more even. Minimal greens. It came in a 6" pie tin. $11.00 ! All other Italian places we frequent, same salad comes in a 9" deep dish tin $8.99”

“We stayed in Boothbay at the end of September and on our last night there my parents offered to take our dog so we could go sit down for dinner and have a few hours off from our fur kid. We mulled over which restaurant to eat at but after much deliberation (and some pre-dinner ice cream) we walked into McSeagull's. The atmosphere is really homey and our waitress (I'm super sad I forgot her name) was AMAZING. We ordered a basket of fried scallops, a fish sandwich, and the MOST DELICIOUS clam chowder EVER. It has this homemade "Grandma made it just for me" taste that was out of the world. All of our food was great, but that clam chowder was worth the visit alone. We will absolutely go back again!”

“We always stop in for a few pieces of taffy and a square of fudge. :) I would love if there were more options that didn't have synthetic dyes, since my daughter is allergic. There are a few (chocolate, molasses, and peanut butter) that are naturally colored, so we get those ones. But there's a big selection of flavors, the kids love being able to pick out their candy, and the price is just right!”

“We didn’t stay here but we did have dinner—and it was amazing. Every dish we had was stunning and perfectly executed. Worth every cent and our server Eric was impeccable. A must-try in Boothbay Harbor and Maine/New England in general! Truly a gem.”

“We arrived just past breakfast and before lunch and was presented with a great local drink list and chips and sticky buns to purchase before lunch was served. The bar tender/manager Elliot was very friendly and courteous. He made suggestions based on the conversation had. The fish and chips was plentiful....almost a pound of haddock with cole slaw french fries and sauce it was delicious. The fish taco also was haddock and slaw or something similar. The lobster roll was on an fresh baked bun that was equally delicious before the lobster. This too was plentiful. Elliot again was nice and helpful with tourist highlights .”

“Pier One is a great place to grab a quick slice of pizza. In an area where you are lucky to get out the door for less than $20 for lunch, they always have several kinds of pizzas ready to buy by the slice. If your looking for more than that, they offer whole pizzas from 12 to 20 inches and a variety of hot and cold sandwiches on fresh bread. But fair warning, if you get a large you better be hungry or ready to share. Pictured is a large meatball, "The 7th Inning Stretch"...I should have ordered the small.”

“A quaint little cafe with a great view of the bay. Staff is very friendly and serviceable. Some of the beat service I've had in a while. The area is very clean and well kept and the decor is cute and very homey. It has a vintage Mom and Pop style to it. We got an egg sandwich on an English muffin with bacon, their blueberry pancakes with a side sausage, their french toast, and a cup of their New England clam chowder. Everything was spectacular. The eggs on the sandwich were cooked over medium perfectly so they weren't too runny. The french toast and pancakes were both light and fluffy, and quite sweet. The chowder was some better chowder in the area. The one critique was their sausage wasn't a breakfast sausage, so it didn't quite go with the pancakes, but it was good nonetheless. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.”

“Stopped in and wanted something light. OMG, the shrimp and grits were to die for, along with a nice side salad. Best I have had in a long time. And I was told the scallops & chowder were fantastic too.”

“Stopped at this restaurant in downtown Boothbay Harbor for breakfast one morning and was not disappointed. Got the eggs and pancakes which turned out to be a delicious breakfast. They give you large portions and the prices are good too. It is a very small restaurant but they do a great job.”

“We were there about a month ago and had an amazing lobster sandwich which they called lobster sliders. I kid you not it was the best of anything I ever had that had lobster in it. It was fresh, crunchy with celery and on an amazing roll. It was so fresh like it was just made..which it was. The owner was fabulous and staff very kind and accommodating for a crew of six we had coming to the place. I highly recommend this place..in fact, don’t miss it when you’re in Boothbay.”

“We were walking around looking for some good food. From the street we could hear Frank Sinatra songs and lots of voices floating in the night sky above our head. We wandered up a large flight of stars to a packed restaurant. The wait was very short so we decided to stay. A small bar of about 10 to 12 was full. The greater was pleasant and maybe full of wine, ha ha. We had a nice little table at the front where we could get a peak of the harbor. The waitress brought us a bag of hot bread with oil. Several of the wait staff spoke in many italian words unfortunately my second language is French. Never quiet understand why people continue to speak to you in another language when you so obviously do not have a command of theirs. We had homemade pasta with seafood which was nice but it could have had more seasonings. The salad had sliced olives which seemed a little skimpy. All in all we left full and happy. Friendly little place.”

“Ended up downstairs and stumbled on a fun little piano bar scene. Many locals took turns singing and playing along with piano player. Food was good. Server was outstanding as she took care of entire room of almost 50 people, including the bar, by herself and still got food and drinks out without major delays. Very enjoyable experience.”

“The Best of the Best.....great Seafood and Steaks. They have been in business for a long time and Russell the owner is a wonderful local man who will go out of his way to get you exactly what you want. His deli knows how to make the best sandwiches in the Region.”
