“Was very excited to try this place, dig that they have solar powered beer production, IPA was pretty good nice hazy beer like i prefer... unfortunately I can't review any food as I was ignored at my table while the waitress (who arrived at her shift screaming at everyone sitting at the bar, apparently she didn't want to work that day) proceeded to keep her back to me where I sitting at the table...had to ask for a food menu, ordered a beer on my own at the bar (that bartender straight forgot to hand me it after pouring...waited 10 before she acknowledged that I was still there patiently waiting) attempted to get the waitresses attention 3 more times when she visited the other table to get their order, so I gave up and went elsewhere. 3 stars for good beer. 0 stars for service”

“This restaurant has very limited seating so I would suggest calling ahead. Good appetizers and hot pitas to start. My husband ordered the lamb shawarma, but it was very chewy. I ordered the roasted half chicken, and my meal was delicious. You had a choice of side dishes. We both ordered the side salad and roasted potatoes that came with delicious garlic sauce. Apparently the fries were very good too. Customer service was very pleasant and efficient. The prices were very reasonable as well.”

“The food came in under 10 minutes, and it was hands down some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. It is definitely worth the detour if you’re on I-90. On top of that, the service was incredible. We asked for a to-go box, and the waitress gave us extra chips and salsa to take with us. Best of all— no styrofoam!”

“The only negative I have to say is that they are closed on Mondays!! I had a white bean soup and sweet potato/ black bean quesadilla. Both were delicious. It was my first visit and so many of the options sounded wonderful. I can not wait to go back and try out more! A must visit for any soup lover (although the open faced goat cheese and grilled veggies with balsamic glaze sandwich sounded really good too)”

“Let me just start by saying that the 73 degree weather, the first real spring day helped to make this experience exponentially better; but damn they make a good mojito. The guacamole was smooth and and perfectly contrasted with a salty tortilla chip. The steak was cooked to perfection and the spicy, green, magic sauce made the tacos out of this world. It’s a little gem in the middle of nowhere.”

“Best pizza in town. Unfortunately, they are under renovations due to a fire that I understand was caused by a gas leak in the very early hours of 1/30/18 or 1/31/18. The fire caused quite a bit of damage to the kitchen and other parts of the building, but the Pizza House has been open for many years because of their great food and dedication to their business. I wouldn't expect their doors to be closed for long. They are open for business and going strong, the food is still great and the place looks better than it ever has...”

“This pizza place was so amazing. It's super clean on the inside and nice. The space is kinda small but it's perfect for hanging out with friends or going on a cute first date. The pizza was so delicious. I got the Chris with arugula, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar. It was super delicious. My brother got the Maggie which is a basic pie but still super amazing. I totally recommend you check it out.”

“My wife and I had dinner here on a Tuesday night in mid-April 2019. We are senior citizens and tourists,visiting Great Barrington for the first time. The dinner was excellent and we are so glad we chose the Public House. The mussels are outstanding and are served with a thicker-than average sauce with coconut flavoring. My wife's trout dinner was superb. The fish had crispy skin and it came with risotto and brussel sprouts (very tasty). For dessert the brownie a la mode was perfect. Good service. The place is popular and it got crowded as the evening went on. The room is lovely and historically renovated, and the exterior storefront is very attractive, as well. The restaurant is on the liveliest block in town - Railroad St. We highly recommend this eatery.”

“Stopped for lunch while passing through Great Barrington. What a find!! Terrific menu and the sourdough pizza was absolutely amazing - definitely in my top 5 ever!
