“Absolutely love the place. Great atmosphere, great music, and even greater food. The staff was super nice when I dined there and the drinks have good prices. Last Saturday was packed, so the bar was a little busy. It’s incredible how much they managed on the first day. Worth the wait for sure! I got a margarita pizza while I was there and it was absolutely to die for. I didn’t realize it was brick oven, which was awesome! The crust was perfect and the toppings were beyond fresh.”

“Of course the bagels are good and so are other sandwiches, but my God, the employees are so slow sometimes i can't even imagine what takes them so long to butter a bagel. Slow service is the only reason I give 3 stars. The coffee is pretty good I should add. However, being in Amherst, parking is not free and usually hard to come by.”

“There are many restaurant type areas in the Amherst. Almost of them are used for social activities as well. They are not just places for eating. They are a social institutions. The Amherst Pub, as i have observed, is different in a sense that many local people used to come here for chat chat. I have seen UMass professors also frequently used to come here on one specific time in a week at least.”

“Cash only, but worth it. Very tasty and doesn't get enough business. I got a chicken shwarma and the seasonings were great, it was a good length, and only 6.00 with a student discount. Definitely coming back”

“Very authentic Szechuan food! I love the roast fish and the dry pot. Excellent service! Please be noted that the Szechuan food is supposed to be spicy. If you are Americans who cannot eat spicy, please take a detour and bring your "spicy lover" friends here.”

“If you're from out-of-town or from out-of-state, get your coffee, breakfast, lunch, snack, soup, or whatever here. There's something cozy, relaxing and calm about this cafe. I'm not sure I could figure out why but when I was here I wanted to return back and did over and over on a rainy Sunday in early May. Their food is delicious, the staff is friendly. I was there I think five times and I did something at this restaurant I can't remember doing at any other restaurant in my life: I took a nap.”

“Great local place for drinks, beer, and a bite to eat. Bartenders are excellent and remember you by name. We were in one afternoon and chatting with Dylan at the bar. The following week, we returned and he remembered our names, putting them on the check. A little customer service goes a long way!!”

“Very tasty food, a great selection of gluten free foods, and lovely service. The bar is great and there are some great cocktails. I especially like the bespoke cocktail: they ask you questions about what you're feelin' and make a drink based on your preferences. They're usually spot-on. Also, don't miss the dollar oyster happy hour!”

“Food was decent. The popovers (their obvious draw) were fluffy and tasty- like a Dutch pancake- and best warm. I got the lamb shank which was rich and fell off the bone, but the fried shredded potatoes on top of mashed potatoes was rather greasy and heavy. The portions are very generous but could use a delicate hand. Overall enjoyed the meal and busy atmosphere.”

“This place has really great lunch specials. They’re reasonably priced and everything tasted really good. Cashew nut beef is highly recommended, but the red curry is good as well! The special comes with your choice of pot stickers or Siam rolls. Recommend you upgrade the rice to sticky rice for only a dollar. Definitely a good place to have some decent Thai food.”

“An excellent quality pizza shop i have ever visited. It even has a dollar pizza offer on all weekend mid nights. A variety of non vegetarian and vegetarian pizzas are available. One can get how many ever slices of pizza is needed and the shop is opened from 10am to 2am. One can feel a great sense of satisfaction after eating pizza as there is also value for money apart from the excellent taste. A must to try place located in the downtown of Amherst.”

“We were at the tavern for the reception for my brother and sister in law's wedding. We're had a nice private room, small, but plenty spacious enough for our party of about 20. The wait staff were warm and friendly, and the food was well prepared and all served hot. Because we were a private party, I can't speak to the rest of the tavern, but based on our experience, I'd go back. Costs were reasonable, and atmosphere was very nice.”

“I had the fried fish sandwich. The 2 filet strips are breaded and served on a large hamburger bun with iceberg lettuce, mayo, tomato, and onion. Tartar sauce is served on the side. French fries and a small side of coleslaw are part of the meal. The french fries are NOT fresh cut...edible but nothing special. Same with the coleslaw. The takeout service is about a 10 minute wait for the sandwich meal. They also have a wide variety if pizzas, pasta dishes and sandwiches. A favorite place for my family.”

“Food is always delicious, last summer when I was pregnant, all I wanted was their pulled pork sandwiches! It was completely worth the 55 minute drive from my home! This place has the best around! The employees are super nice & extremely helpful! I would stand on the street corner w a megaphone & shout the praises of this place!!”
