I couldn't have been happier with my visit. Our server was attentive to our table, and the outdoor seating, landscaping, and the night's band hit a great note for the end of the day. They also served the best brisket I've had in recent memory. It just came apart with a fork, had the perfect amount of smoke, but wasn't overwhelmed by the dry rub.
Stop down with the family part way through a bike ride for some lunch. First off, I was impressed with the local draft selection. It's a very cute place both inside and out. I ordered a gyro and my wife ordered a salad. I found the gyro to be okay but certainly not outstanding for the competition in the area. My wife found the salad to be satisfactory but also not great. We had an order of the buffalo wings, which were probably the weak point. They were kind of fatty and seem like they came out of a freezer. The service was good and the staff was friendly. They have a women's only restroom and then a unisex restroom, which is a little interesting. Overall, I think I would lean towards three and a half stars, and I usually give a place a second chance before posting a review. In a nutshell, it's a very cute place and the access from the Tart Trail is really cool. I would say that if it wasn't priced like a high-end foodie restaurant, which it is, it would be more satisfactory. If I'm going to pay $60 for two grown up meals, an order of six wings, and a kids' macaroni and cheese, I just expect a bit more (this is TC, after all). We will visit again at some point here and hopefully I can modify the review to be a little bit more shining.
Have only been here once, we stopped by to pump a couple cold ones down the hatch and the service was quick and informative. For the location they've made it feel very comfortable and its definitely a good place to stop by for some grub. It's what's good ????
A local favorite for a good reason. The beer is great. The brick oven made food is great. The setting is made for family and friends both indoor and out. The brick oven is a nice touch and the staff is one of the best in the world. If you come to TC on vacation or live here year round definately put this place on your list.
Good quality. Very modest portions for a BBQ place. 6 wings for $12. BBQ Platter was about 3oz of pulled pork, one modest slice of brisket, and 3 ribs for $25. It came with asparagus spears and roasted potatoes, but overall we just thought the prices didn’t match the portions. Again, food was good...just kinda lacking in portions. Curious to know what the portion sizes for the solo BBQ items look like, but definitely wouldn’t be ordering the sampler platter again. Service was friendly, but spotty.
