“I just moved here from Kalamazoo and this was my first Grand Rapids tasting and it blew my mind. I had the boneless wings with Fry's and fried cauliflower. My friend also had the cat fish and all were melt in your mouth delicious!!! I would definitely recommend this place but make sure you have time for fresh food. Everyone working there was very nice and it was a nice atomosphere. I will definitely be eating here again soon.”

“Great "sister" bakery to the Wealthy Street Bakery. I love the oasis in the neighborhood feel--it gives the lure of a true destination spot but still maintains an inviting everyday atmosphere. Food is great as are the specialty coffees and lattes. The reduced price on day-old baked goods is a family favorite for our large troop. I just wish they had a way to get more parking! “Was looking forward to checking it out again, it had been years since we' been here. The atmosphere seemed fun, we sat at the bar where we enjoy sitting. It was late but they were able to serve us food, which we appreciated. I hadn't eaten anything all day, needed to eat especially with my beer. I ordered 2 hot dogs, I do remember them looking unusually pale, but didn't dwell on it much. Two hours later at home, I experienced the worse case of food poisoning I'd ever had. So disappointed. This place is close to our house and we were hoping LC would be a new neighborhood staple, sadly it won't. I shared my experience with a friend and his response was "that doesn't surprise me." Bummer! ☹️”

“So we go into The omelette shoppe, to get two all meat scrambles. Takes about 22 minutes to get these meals. I will say that the meals were not the best, mine was kind of dry. At the end of the eating experience the manager steps up to the table and says, there was a screw up in the kitchen on your meals, so I'm going to comp your meals. I never had to say anything to her about the wait time. This tells me that they do pay attention to how long people are sitting here. The meals were okay, probably would have been better if it would have came out on time to the table. This is the reason why I gave it three stars, she invited us to come back again so that they can give us a better experience. We will return. Then I can re-evaluate The omelette shoppe! On the side note just because the meal was not the best and on time the waitress does not have to suffer for the tip. Our waitress got a good tip because she is a good waitress.”

“My office is not far from this restaurant, so my coworkers and I frequent here fairly often. It is a great place to grab lunch, with friendly and fast service. They have a rather unique menu that frees you from the typical lunch fare. Great salads and sandwiches, and even some fine soups. I really only have one complaint, and that is their Tomato Bisque soup. It has the potential to be a really great soup, but it is SO salty! Now I am not one of those people that watches their sodium intake. I love salty foods, but the Tomato Bisque at Houlihan's is so salty that I just take handle more than a small taste. I have ordered it three different times, over the course of the past year, thinking that maybe they would have modified it over time to make it a little less salty, but every time I end up regretting my order. Really sad, because the flavor is very good, but salty enough to make your heart race for the rest of the day. Maybe they make it this way to make customers thirsty, so they will sell more drinks. I looked up the nutritional information online, and it shoes 2,153g of Sodium in one serving. Yikes! Well overall I still like this place and I highly recommend everyone in the area try it. But until they change their recipe, I suggest taking a hard pass on the Tomato Bisque soup.”
