“I don't really understand why this gas station has such bad reviews. Yes it's in a rougher part of town, but the store was recently remodeled and it looks great. The interior of the store is clean and well-stocked. I have clients in this area, so I often stop here to use the bathroom - it's really hard to find public bathrooms in this neighborhood, so I appreciate that they keep their bathrooms clean and well-stocked, and I don't need to ask for a key. The lock on one of the stalls in the women's room needs to be fixed, though. Also, note that this location closes at 10 pm. I also frequently grab a quick lunch, snack, or drink here. They have a good selection, including plenty of both hot and cold sandwiches. Of course it's a pain that their pumps are prepay only (or pay at the pump too I think) , but again, it's not in the greatest area, so that's to be expected. I generally don't gas up here, but I did the other day and didn't have any problems. There was a bit of a line at the register, but it moved quickly. Overall, this is a good convenience store considering where it is. Way better than some janky Speedway, for example - Speedway is the worst! I also appreciate that they maintained some of this store's funky retro architecture when they remodeled :)”

“I came in earlier today (4-6-2021 around 4PM) completely lost without a phone trying to get my brother to a nearby high school for his baseball practice. I asked the cashier if he could help me with directions, he said he didn’t know the way but pulled up the navigation on his phone and helped me figure out the way there. His name was Jason or Jacob, and he had dirty blonde hair. He was so patient with me which meant SO much, especially since I was frazzled with hail + downpour rain on top of making my brother late to practice. It seriously changed the tone of my evening. “One of my favorite spots in Minneapolis. Jeff, the owner, is wonderful and just a great person to talk to. The cider and wines are excellent. Usually - the ingredients always perk my interest as well (a carrot-based wine?!) and they always taste great. A few personal favorites: black currant cider, semi-sweet cider, and the butter beer (non-alcoholic). One of my favorite memories is going there around Halloween when they had the place decked out in Harry Potter decorations (my wife interrupted me here to tell me this is called “Three Broomsticks week”). The atmosphere was so fun and cozy and, honestly, there’s hardly any better place to go in this city.”

“This is one of the stellar Starbucks in the Metropolitan area, and it's easy to see why when you visit. It's sparkling clean, the patio has a lot of seating with shade or without. The inside is well-lit and decorated. Its a "Starbucks Reserve" store, so you're able to purchase their limited-edition beans, to boot. The drinks are the standard of Starbucks, but they're consistently well-made here. Plenty of merchandise and beans to purchase (when the distributor isn't on strike), and you'll receive service with a fair modicum of kindness. Overall, this is my favorite Starbucks in the area, and it's for this reason that I drive from the Municipal Service Center to it nearly every day.”

“It is too convenient I swear. It is right next to Kowalskis making it so easy to grab groceries and a coffee. Everyone working is very nice and helpful. Even with a line things keep moving fairly quickly. It is so easy to order for pickup through the app and it is ready when you get there. They also have indoor as well as outdoor seating. There is parking on the street and is you are buying groceries at Kowalskis you can park in that lot as well.”

“I recently discovered Hawaii Poke Bowl by searching in the ‘Healthy’ section on Door Dash. Thank goodness this place came up because I have been looking for a new poke place for a while. I ordered the miso soup and Volcano Bowl and both were delicious. The Volcano Bowl was the perfect level of spicy so I would highly recommend. They also don’t skimp on portions - it was a pretty big bowl and that’s important to me since I can eat a lot! Overall, this food was delicious and I am excited to keep ordering from Hawaii Poke Bowl in the future!!”
