“Great new location in, but separate from a beautiful new Mackenthuns grocery store. The upstairs could use some rearranging. There are two small tables (with only 2 chairs!?) behind a very nice long high top. Awkward. And one table in front near stairs (not a great location). There is a nice 4 chair comfy lounge area near a pretend fireplace. Move the high top back and place the two tables in front of it. And buy some more chairs! That would give it a 5 star for atmosphere. Coffee and service always fantastic!”

Food was quick and flavorful, really wish the burger filled out the bun, disappointing. Need to ask what beers are available because they’re not listed anywhere. Recommend not sitting at the end of the bar by the kitchen and server POS stand as the server did nothing but complain - we’re not here for that. Don’t really feel that there’s a value here, not saying it’s expensive, just left underwhelmed. Still recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area, might be your new go-to.”

“Not a great choice for large groups. I had called twice in the two weeks prior to make a reservation for a Saturday at 4:15. They said that I could the first time I called, and he said he had me down. I then told him how many people, day and time because he never asked. I felt uneasy about it because I had a party of 15. I called again two days later to confirm I had a reservation. He had no record, but said I could make one and took my info again. I knew I wasn't going to have a reservation and just went with it. When the first of our group arrived, the staff had no reservation or notice of our group. That was fine, they arranged tables to accommodate us in the moment. The waitress seemed overwhelmed with that many people in a group. The food came out sporadically over a 20 minute span and they couldn't match person with order. And they were using different words to describe the food then the menu used so when they asked the table who ordered it, no one claimed it because they didn't know to. The checks came out a mess and took awhile to distribute. We were a large group, so I understand the struggle. We had to pay at the register, but weren't told that, so we spent an obnoxious amount of time taking up space waiting for the cards to be collected and ran. And in the end, the food was just okay. Forgettable, but filling.”

“I hate to give a new "start up" restaurant a mediocre rating, but this location has probably been 3 different restaurants in the past 5 years and they have all made the same mistakes. Even though it's on the water on Lake Minnetonka it has virtually no view as it is surrounded by a large boat marina. Second the view that you would have is obstructed by a 4 foot high wooden fence(see photo). Food and drink prices are moderately expensive. They have NACHOS priced at $26.00. If they would make some modifications, like improving the view and getting more reasonable with prices, it would be a great place.”

“Have been here twice since they’ve opened. Was able to get seated immediately each time. Incredible service and food was flavorful. I had the shrimp curry the first time (amazing!!) and the goat curry (subbed pasta for caulirice - spicy and yummy) - both were recommendations from the server we had the first time I stopped. The menu had a nice variety of classic American food and some more unique items. Love having this restaurant in Excelsior! Will def be back!”

“I got the Blues (burger) with a $2 upgrade from fries to tots. It was all excellent. I ordered the burger medium - and it was cooked just right. The combination of quality beef, blue cheese, apricot jam, and rosemary was wonderful. I tend to put ketchup on stuff - but this burger was perfect without it. The venue is shiny and has a welcoming vibe. Although it was busy, they were able to seat us right away (table for two). It’s a great venue to meet up with friends or family. Probably a good place for a business meeting as well. The only downside is that it is on the expensive end when it comes to burgers. But they are worth it. I can recommend Red Cow with no hesitation. I know I’ll be back.”

“First time at the American Legion. We had a blast! The snow was starting to fly and we wanted to get dinner before it really started coming down. We happened in right after 4pm on a Saturday, well, BINGO was in progress. I have long held that no other fancy burger gourmet or high end bar, can beat that of a burger from an American Legion or VFW. They did not let me down here. It was fantastic! I ordered two! We got cheese curds and Ribs and fries and chicken wings. All with beers. Played some BINGO as well. Not bad for three people at $50. Service was better than at some high end restaurants. “As far as the food goes, it's solid fast delivery pizza. It's especially generous with the toppings, which is always nice. But I wanted to relate an experience. We just ordered pizza, but I a) put the wrong address on the online order and b) had my phone on silent and missed the call when they tried to ask where the right one was. I realized my mistake after ten minutes, called them, got it resolved. They remade the pizzas, gave us the old pizzas PLUS the new ones, and a completely undeserved coupon besides! “You either love it or hate it. Depends on your views of supplements and Herbalife. Drinks were about what you'd expect for a protein shake. Way overpriced (first timers do get 50% off). Same base ingredients, sugar coated with fun flavors (stevia coated in this case lol). I got the salted peanut brittle and berry lemonade (price is for tea + shake). Items 1-8 and 11-14 supposedly don't have stevia but the berry lemonade still tasted pretty sweet to me. Also, the menu is massive and overwhelming lol. They did do a good job of explaining fan favorites. Other than touting itself as a healthy meal replacement, there are no claims of preventing or curing disease (although there is a strong implication). Nothing explicitly wrong in that. The staff are careful not to make such claims. They just sell shakes with certain ingredients. You do your own research (or not). The patrons I interacted with during my visit appeared to be regulars. Mary (co-owner) and Amy were present at the time and both were friendly and charismatic. They do make you feel welcome and part of a community. They also take part in community fitness / wellness events and provide coaching. I felt like they sidestepped the question on qualifications but I hope people get actual dietary and fitness advice from a medical doctor if they need it. They also make you sign up with your phone number and email address "to generate a receipt". Classic data grab. I really bummed about this. The store is in a great location and the interior is impecabbly clean. Well lit and laid back environment. This place wasn't for me, but if you're into the wellness lifestyle and want to feel part of a community, this is a great community to be in.”

“I recently discovered Annapurna Foods in Plymouth, MN, formerly known as Kadai Foods, and let me tell you, it's an absolute hidden gem! The owners have truly created a culinary haven with a delightful menu and exceptional service. The variety of breakfast options is extensive, and the fact that they serve breakfast until noon is a game-changer. We tried a plethora of dishes, and each one was a burst of flavors. Among the standout dishes, the Ghee Upma stole the show with its finger-licking goodness. It was simply outstanding. For breakfast, we indulged in Ghee Dosa, Masala Dosa, Poori, and Aloo Paratha. The Chicken 65 and Gobi Manchurian were also ordered. Gobi Manchurian could have been better tasting. However, the real showstopper was the Poori with Aloo Curry and Chole Curry - an absolute must-try! The overall experience was a huge hit, and we are already planning our next visit to savor more of their delectable offerings. The owners' dedication to both the cooking and service was evident, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. If I were to provide a suggestion, it would be to pay a bit more attention to the seating arrangements. Nonetheless, this minor detail did not overshadow the fantastic food and service. In conclusion, Annapurna Foods is a culinary treasure in Plymouth, MN, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. We can't wait to come back for more culinary delights!”
