“Very accomplished bbq is coming out of the smoker and kitchen at Boomin Barbecue. They have a clear command of their smoker, coaxing some of the best meats in town. Perfectly cooked brisket and pork ribs approached the quality found in Texas. A recent special of pastrami was very good. All sides and pickles were very nice. It’s still early in the Boomin Barbecue story, but they are really off to a great start. Highly Recommended.”

“Very good food. We would absolutely eat here again. We tried it because it's all gluten free, and they have a decent variety of choices. The portions were good, the food tasty. Think of it like a nice home cooked meal you don't have to cook yourself. Prices were totally reasonable for the food we got. 6 dinners, a side, and an appetizer for $88. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, the pot roast, burrito bowl, and roasted chicken. Also the chili potatoes. Everyone was happy with their food. My favorite were the roasted sweet potatoes. Nice thick slices, soft and yummy. The pot roast was tender and I definitely did not need my knife. The only downside: the potatoes and roasted veggies were way too peppery. I don't mind spiciness, but it was a lot of pepper. Also, the take out containers were compostable, so that's a plus. In the photos - the portions were originally bigger but we were really hungry and started eating before I took pictures.”

“Food is quite good. The only real complaint I had was the burger is put into the bag in an open wrapper. It’s made so you can eat on the go and that’s cool. However if you are taking it home it’s easy for the bun to slide off and the cheese spreads all over the bag which is what happened to me. It is the first week they’ve been open so you have to cut some slack for that. It’s also nice to get a half lemonade half organic tea drink.”

“Had a 10/10 experience dining at Kazoku tonight. The owner was the sweetest woman, and the staff were all great as well. We were brought an appetizer to try courtesy of the owner and it was phenomenal. They were incredibly accommodating for having been open just four days. The sushi was amazing, the soup was amazing, everything was perfect. At the end of our meal even the chef came out to ask how everything was. The whole experience felt very personal. This is a restaurant I would love to see stick around. Can't wait to eat here again :)”

“Brand new and clean, in a former location that housed a Subway. Friendly service and great food. I think one thing you'll immediately notice when taking a bag with a half sandwich (I had Italian which I like using to compare place) is that you feel the weight. They're not skimping. Many other sandwich places, a half sandwich is something you barely feel that you ate, but definitely not the case here. Solid amount of meat, but the bread holds up. It's soft but has flavor and doesn't fall apart to any oil or dressing like some places with softer breads. Just the right amount of mayo and dressing to add flavor but not overpower. I also had a gyro, and it was really good too. The tzatziki is more solid, not the overly runny stuff (aka cheaply water-diluted because the yogurt and dairy part is the expensive part) in many places that can make a sandwich soggy. While I don't live near there, I do go to Champions Hall on Friday nights for volleyball, and this is definitely a good option to grab beforehand, maybe eat a bit before and have some for after since there aren't many options open past 11pm even on a Friday. Also conveniently located next to Jerry's Foods if you wanted to grab something to eat while doing errands/groceries.”

Food came out quickly and server was on point. I had the Hawaiian bowl, which was average. I was disappointed at the amount of beef in the item. That being said order breakfast items here! They all looked amazing and definitely the staple of the restaurant. Make reservations and check to see they're open since this isn'ta 7 days a week service place!
