“Moving here from Colorado or Oklahoma I was consistently disappointed, and even disgusted, by the interpretations of Mexican food the other restaurants in the area had been serving. Trying this one was a blessing. The employees have always been professional and attentive, and the restaurant has a very clean and relaxed atmosphere. This time I ordered curbside to-go and the whole process was so easy. Prep was fresh but quick and food was warm and delicious. Definitely making this a habit. Thank you all!”

“My sons and I were on a cross country Amtrak trip and stopped to spend a day in Kirksville. We had lunch on May 30th at Bakers Smokehouse and are still talking about it to this day so I thought I would leave a review. Portions are perfect! We eat a lot of BBQ and I can say without equivocation, that this is the best BBQ we have ever had! The owner was there when we had lunch and told us he makes the sauce himself. The sauce is amazing and the meats cooked to perfection. It was a highlight on our trip and we have talked about making sure our next trip includes a stop in Kirksville for lunch.”

“Love their mission. The food is excellent however I think the prices are a little to high. The last couple of times me and family went into there, there seemed to be some kind of trouble with other customers outside the restaurant where the police were called don’t know what happened but there was definitely a lot of yelling between some young kids. It was kind of a turn off, take root has always been a place we try to by stop to support when we are in town visiting cause we loved what they were doing. When in town this last time we were sad to see that they were closed, as I said food is excellent and service is wonderful, love their mission. But prices were too high and the incidents we saw the couple of times that we were there didn’t sit well. My daughter said they might think of reopening again in the future, we wish them nothing but best.”

“We love this restaurant so much. The food is amazing and so affordable. We started going frequently when we moved here. Kristen noticed who we were right away and was so kind to us. She makes sure we feel welcome and always was kind to our kids. Our daughter (who is 2) was having a moment were she was upset and Kristen brought out a little paper umbrella to cheer her up. So many restaurant seem annoyed with our big family and young kids when we show up. The people and owners at Bonzai make us feel like family. They have consistently gone above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the service.”

“We had wonderful steaks! Environment was friendly, relaxing, and beautiful overlooking the lake. There side salad didn’t have the better lettuce mix, but nice red onions, cucumbers, and tomato top. As salad is one of my favorite foods. Overall we loved our meals.”

“3 stars not 4 because they block off the main entrance so you have to drive all the way around on pot hole road. I get it so more cars can pull in off the main Hwy but if they want to do that they need to redo the drive Thur if you drive a truck it’s very hard to make the turn that it’s not made for so it makes it a hassle to where sometimes I don’t go just because they have it blocked off. However the food is good and is usually always made right. They added a lot of low price food items that’s cheaper than mc Donald’s so they are over all good. Stop blocking off the drive Thur and it’s 4 star.”

“It was okay, but nothing too exciting. They forgot my 2 dips and the container they put the spicy sauce wings in cracked (not sure if it was cracked somehow on the drive or when I recieved it) so all the spicy sauce leaked all over. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted bland, but the biscuit was amazing. My daughter loved the chicken tenders (the ones the spicy sauce did leak onto).”

“Arby's is always a good choice if you are looking for a heart meal and lots of choices. You can't go wrong with the roast beef, of course, but my latest favorite is the Greek gyro. It is really tasty and has a great ratio of meat, veggies and sauce. If you are looking for something a bit lighter, their sliders are quite delicious and have a surprising amount of meat on them. The service at this location is always great with really friendly staff.”
