“Tuckaway just north of the city in a beautiful brick building, Happy Gillis is a delightful, small breakfast joint. Went there on Saturday morning wasn’t too busy. “This might be my new favorite neighborhood spot! I have driven past this restaurant many times, and decided I should stop by and give it a try. Boy was I pleased with my decision. Located on the outskirts of the Historic Northeast, Pho Bowl is a charming eatery with a nice sized menu selection. I was greeted by multiple restaurant staff as soon as I hit the door. Because I was on a schedule, I decided to take my food to go. I decided on B.1 (beef, noodles and friend onions), spring rolls and crab rangoon. I throughly enjoyed each meal item! I plan to visit again soon and dine in when I do so! The atmosphere was perfect for a nice quiet lunch on a week day afternoon. Would recommend!”

“I don't really like the location of this restaurant but the food was amazing! Prices are affordable and portions are so generous that you can have enough for at least 2 meals(if you order 1 portion for yourself). I didn't like the mango juice as it felt watered down but other than that the tea and the food were phenomenal. We went as a group and ordered the fish, lamb, goat and chicken suqaar. My favourite part? The green sauce that came with the food.”

“What a fun and cozy little place. Enjoyed the more quaint atmosphere. The ladies working were extremely nice and quick, especially with the crepes! I had the Forest savory crepe and it was delicious down to the last bite. The sweet crepes are good as well, the lemon one has just the right amount of lemon flavor. The earl grey one was a little extra sweet but still good. The hot cocoa was very good as well, not super sweet but comes with a delicious marshmallow that's perfect with it. If you like crepes this is definitely worth a stop!”

“Eahh… I found this spot to be overpriced for lunch. The food was good not great. The cocktails were very good. Our server was really nice and helpful regarding our choices. Roasted feta was really nice while it was hot ,so eat it fast! Once it cooled it became very hard. The cucumber salad was alright. I mean it’s a $12 cucumber I expected something more special. Cucumbers are 2 for $3 at the grocery so the price was exorbitant. Not thinking I will be back but I can’t say never🤷🏽♀️”

“Happy food dance! The look and feel of this place is awesome. I loved the fire pit in the rear patio. The biscuits and gravy are top notch! They go beyond the basics and have a thick full savory flavor. The biscuits themselves are buttery, light, and flaky. The bacon that comes with the dish is also top notch. The eggs are steamed, they have a very consistent texture and are cooked excellently. The turkey cranberry sandwich was also very good. The turkey seemed to be fresh sliced and the bread hit the spot. I had a great experience here; I think you will too!”

“Truly a great experience. My group of 6 accidentally booked a reservation at the Mexico City located and showed up at the KC location. They were so accommodating and fit us in in 5-10 minutes. “I was honestly surprised by the quality of the food here. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and my boyfriend had the one entrée meal with Sesame Chicken and lo mein. They cooked my Beef Lo Mein fresh and the beef was -incredibly- tender. Chinese takeout beef has no business being as pleasantly tender as it came out in my order. The mushrooms and broccoli were good as well. It wasn't overly oily, which was nice. My only complaint/suggestion is that the dish could improve with some minced garlic and possibly some scallions added in for extra flavor. The Sesame Chicken seemed like pretty average fare, it didn't stand out spectacularly but was nice and hot despite being under a heat lamp for however long. The service was average, but I did notice they -do- charge for a water cup (about $0.25 if I recall correctly). Drinks run about $2.00 more or less, and I'm not quite sure if they offer refills. I honestly didn't expect much for it being more of a tourist-ridden place but the beef in the beef lo mein was really really good for no apparent reason. It was also cheaper than the one entrée meal, so I'd recommend ordering the beef lo mein if nothing else.”

“Wonderful location in the Crown Center. The location is easily accessible and they offer dine in (with window views) or a quick bite option. Staff was very attentive and friendly and most importantly the food was amazingly good. I had a meat platter (brisket and burnt ends) and my daughter a burnt ends sandwich. “I dined here 12/17/2022 at approximately 5:30 PM. This place is always busy. I waited in line 10-15 minutes to order. They assemble your order while you watch with pre-cooked meat, beans, cheese and other toppings. The food was good, and the portions were plentiful for the price. The restaurant seems awkwardly designed. I had to pass a lot of tables to get in line. The line blocked the drink fountains. Straws, napkins and other needed items were stored next to the drink fountains. When you pay for your order and get a cup you need to start back at the beginning and squeeze through the line again to get your drink. Everything is backwards. People cannot easily leave their tables after eating because the line traps them. The employees were all working hard, and they were friendly. They are understaffed. The floors were dirty. I had a difficult time finding a clean table. I found one that was acceptable except for the trash on the floor under the table. We couldn't discard our trash as we were leaving because all of the trash receptacles were overflowing. The trash and plastic trays were piled up on the receptacles. I will give them another try. I think they were severely understaffed for this busy season.”

“One of the main things we'd heard from friends about Fritz's was "the food is average" or "you don't go for the food". But my wife and I and our daughter went for the first time in late August 2022 and overall everything was great. Obviously it was super busy being a Saturday, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to get in. Service was quick and mostly friendly, and we thought the food was great (double cheeseburger, strawberry shake, and pork tenderloin sandwich). The fries were just average. Overall a solid first experience. And obviously our daughter loved the trains.”

“The burger is great. Not sure exactly what they do but it's some magic in how they grill up the onions. Wish I had got another one it was that dang good! The chili cheese fries were good too.
