“Conveniently located cafe in island strip mall between East and West bound lanes of Manchester Road. Sandwiches and salads are the main draw. I usually end up here for a business lunch as everyone can usually find something on the menu that is appealing or at least not objectionable. All that said, they do a reasonably good job with the food and they have several iced teas on tap. You'll wait for your food during peak times. They shout your name when it's ready. There is indoor and outdoor seating and drive thru.”

“When someone makes a claim for "best gyro in town," it sets my expectations pretty high. I was not disappointed. The meat portion was very generous, the pita was soft, and overall the gyro was incredible. I will be back! The people serving the food were friendly. I had a great experience.”

“Good cheeseburger spot that just opened. A bit more expensive than most places. The food was pretty good. Had the strawberry milkshake, double cheeseburger and fries. It can be a bit cramped inside, so its nice that they have a patio section. The wait was a bit long but that should get better. Looking forward to coming back for another meal.”

“A wonderful place with healthy options for any dietary needs. Albeit I got a burger this time, I would definitely like to come back and try the bowls! The ingredients were so fresh! And this meal filled me up for pretty much the rest of the day. I had to wonder if they didn’t have a garden outback they for them from! Great staff, friendly atmosphere also. “My husband and I chose to have donuts as our dessert for our wedding rather than a traditional cake, and I happened to stumble across Donut Palace on my search. Ann and the team at Donut Palace were amazing to work with and helped us select donuts that were perfect for our guests. Ann is very responsive, and although I live out-of-state, the process for ordering donuts was very easy and stress free. The donuts were perfect and looked amazing on the donut wall we had at our reception venue. Donut Palace was perfect for our wedding and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a little different type of dessert.”

“Remarkable experience! The setting was romantic and intimate- perfect for a date night. Service was excellent. The server explained the dishes and cocktails and offered the service of the sommelier, who helped us select a bottle of wine to complement our entrees. The menu was small but offered something for everyone. The monk fish entrée was sumptuous and the cordon bleu was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Maine oysters and steak tartare for appetizers. Thank you for an excellent evening!”

“Really nice, fresh breakfast today - there were four of us and my faithful pooch, Minnie, and we all had a meal. I had "The Cromwell" with morel mushrooms - really tasty. I was surprised to see morels on the menu still, so I had to get that one. The coffee came in a French press. Service and food was excellent.”

“I ordered a delivery 14" pizza with pepperoni and a blend of mozzarella/pizza cheese blend. Fantastic pizza! The crust was crispy and the cheese and toppings were distributed fairly evenly and generously. The pepperoni was rendered nicely and some even crisp. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out!”

The employee there was very apologetic because they had goofed it up, and let me have a basic booster pack on the house. Didn't have to do that. “We went here for the first time today and I'm happy we did. Delicious pizza with plenty of cheese, great sauce and perfect wood-fired crust. Nice salad as well. The owner greeted us and seemed like a really nice guy. Great to support a vet and black owned business. I was recommending this restaurant before I left! If I had any complaint it would be that the pizza was just warm when it came to the table. I expected hot and bubbly. Still really good, but would have preferred it hotter.”

But, you get what you pay for, and in this case that means heavily elevated tacos and Mexican fare. There’s really no comparison I’ve found in STL.
