J. Devoti Trattoria (Formerly Five Bistro)

Address: 5100 Daggett Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110, USA

Restaurant

“Very much enjoyed the meal. Let's start with hostess and servers--friendly, affable--Kim was especially kind. Atmosphere was really nice--not too loud nor crowded. Decor was clean but not stuffy--comfortable, simple and classy. Food was spot on--refined and properly sized--no gargantuan portions of overly gloppy food--portions were perfect for a 2 course and desert. Left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. Food is obviously carefully prepared--some effort went into making something that was nice--texture, taste, presentation all welcoming. A real treat.”

Rigazzi's

“Great prices! Very friendly Italian style restaurant. The food was outstanding. I took home my leftovers. They have a roast beef and gravy sub that is to die for. I also had pasta in white sauce as my side dish, I cant even express how delicious it was. Perfect meal. I will definitely be back. Our server Sam was also a breath of fresh air. Her attitude was amazing. Very friendly, very attentive, and also very pretty if I might add. She provided us with a great experience. I can't wait to try more of the dishes. Definitely a go to in St. Louis.”

Bulrush StL Restaurant

Address: 3307 Washington Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63103, USA

Restaurant

“My husband and I enjoyed an INCREDIBLE meal at Bulrush this past weekend! Start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. It should be noted that we are both critical eaters, and do not recommend restaurants lightly. Our tasting menu included 7 courses with an additional intermezzo and a take-home treat. $100 may sound steep for St. Louis, but remember that both tax and gratuity are included in that price! For the quality and the quantity of food provided, this is an absolute steal and well-worth the price. Every single course was accessible, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. Because of the foraging philosophy, I had this expectation in my mind that we'd be eating a bunch of mushrooms (silly, but true). Not the case! We enjoyed a huge variety of flavors and ingredients, all modernized versions of what was commonly eaten in the Ozarks in the 1800s. The chef and his team were friendly, informative, and not stuffy at all, which we appreciated. They accommodated our dietary restrictions flawlessly. You can tell that the chef and his team really paid attention to every detail of the experience. The dishes were beautiful, the atmosphere was romantic. We were seated around the cooking area a la Savage, but unlike Savage, we had enough distance between us, the chef team, and other diners to feel like we could have private conversations. I highly recommend that you visit Bulrush in the coming weeks -- we will certainly return as often as we are able!”

Gary's Fine Dining

Address: 601 N Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63103, USA

Restaurant

“Me and my Wife went there on V-day and this place was absolutely GREAT!! For only $25 we had a great Buffet meal in which along would have cost more than $25 without the great live music. The Entertainment by the G-Spot anything more than spectacular!! Off the Chain!! Great clean live music was some of the best I have heard in Saint Louis in years. Definitely the place to go on weekends, especially for those about 40 years or older. Jazz and good old live fashion music from the great artists from the 80s -90s. Highly recommended, we are definitely going back on the weekend where I think there is no cover charge and you just order off the menu and enjoy the good live clean entertainment!!! Thank God for Gary Bringing back good live entertainment to St. Louis.”

“Good food the $1 sandwiches were worth the money”

Sweetie Pie's Upper Crust

Address: 3643 Delmar Blvd #3617, St. Louis, MO 63108, USA

Restaurant

“I was excited to be in St. Louis and to have an opportunity to try Sweetie Pies. We tried fried chicken, baked turkey wing, dressing, macaroni and cheese , blacked eyed peas and corn bread. The prices were higher than expected but I guess it was to be expected for an infamous restaurant. I was disappointed with the long lines, lack of staff and bickering amongst staff. The staff were very nice and patiently waited on the customers. Although the lines were long the dining area was barely used. A lot of people stood in line for take out. The setup is a buffet line and the staff serves. Not enough staff meant one person at more than one station. Back to the food I tasted. The black eyed peas were sweet, the dressing lacked sage and the macaroni barely had cheese. The turkey wing was cold , over cooked and dry. I think it's a great family atmosphere/ attraction with all of the memorabilia. I also think if they had some tastings with customers to get the flavors right and have a dedicated area for to go options they will really thrive.”

She has out done herself with this beautifully decorated multi-storied house in the central west end area. The themed bedrooms are show stoppers and over all decor is beautiful. Gyro Express formerly Yiro/Gyro

“Great location, staff and ambiance. The meat is real not one of those frozen gyro places. Great falafel as well. Great variety of sauces as well. The only complaint is that the bread can be improved for gyro sandwich kind of tasteless. Will come again.”

“Very solid hotel bar in the heart of downtown. Went yesterday for a business function. Very nice selection of wine and beer. Got the Eero Old Fashioned and it was very well made, the bartender clearly put work on it (including burning the orange peel). Will definitely be back, probably best cocktail I've had in a hotel bar in downtown St Louis.”

Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse & Bourbon Bar

Address: 2101 Chouteau Ave, St. Louis, MO 63103, USA

Restaurant

“I would have taken a picture but I was too busy listening to our attentive server and devouring delicious food and beverage. Unfortunately, I have forgotten our severs name but he was very kind and knowledgeable on the menu items. I was concerned ordering wine with unknown flavor profiles but he had all the answers I needed. He informed us of their own fresh farm-to-table items and workings as well as their other establishments not far away.. which is GREAT to know being that my husband and I are business owners in another state that utilizes as much farm-to-table product as we can. SO AWESOME! The feel of the establishment, itself, was comfortable.. but not so comfortable that you would want to fall asleep. I have to applause them for that! I loved it. We had scallops that were cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was a little different than I expected.. maybe they smoked something in it? It wasn’t bad though! I also had a roasted dry rubbed salmon which was one of the best fillets of salmon I have had in a long time. My husband and I made one of our own favorite desserts of just espresso and ice cream but they accommodated and it was the best way to end the night! I’m not from Missouri but if someone mentioned to me they were traveling to or through St. Louis I would highly recommend.”

PW Pizza

Address: 2017 Chouteau Ave, St. Louis, MO 63103, USA

Restaurant

“Really fantastic atmosphere as soon as we walked in my son was in heaven the aromas of fresh bread and cheese were literally everywhere it was nice. Walking in you notice immediately how clean the establishment is which was really good we were sat at a table but I wanted to switch to a booth and the staff was so nice and helpful. Our server was training but unless she told you you would have never known. You can see them cooking your food and everything was just really professional. I will definitely be taking my mother there she will love we will be back and with more people!????”

Planter's House

Address: 1000 Mississippi Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“The happy hour drink deals here are amazing, and the cocktails were some of the best I've ever had. I'm giving them 5 stars based on drinks alone-they're seriously that good. The food was okay, the brisket sandwich was mostly fat and pretty small. The burger toppings were minimal, but the overall flavors were good. The wait staff is very nice, attentive and helpful. We will definitely return for cocktails, they are worth the trip- even without the happy hour prices!”

Eleven Eleven Mississippi

Address: 1111 Mississippi Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“Eleven Eleven is a staple in terms of the St. Louis dining scene. Everything is fresh and delicious. It is an elevated experience but is not overly expensive. Our company recently hosted an event with associates coming from 17 cities around the US. I took a group of 8 on a Thursday night and everything was excellent. The service was prompt, the food was fresh and delicious and it has such a cool ambiance.”

Park Chop Suey

Address: 1321 Chouteau Ave, St. Louis, MO 63103, USA

Meal takeaway Meal delivery Restaurant

“This place is take out or delivery only, no tables for dining unless you're willing to stand along their window counter to eat. I came here because it was the closest to where I'm visiting and I had to try the regional dish, St Paul sandwich, I added beef and ordered a side of egg foo young sauce - wasn't really flavorful. The pot stickers were frozen and even though the dipping sauce had peppers in it, the sauce wasn't flavorful either. The locals that came in seem to like the place.”

Mayo Ketchup

Address: 2001 Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“Authentic and perfectly made. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The staff was very nice and inviting. The food.... WOW! On point! The food was delicious to say the least. We have sorely missed Puertorican food since moving north, but this food brought us back in an instant.”

Polite Society Restaurant and Bar

Address: 1923 Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“Good service. Food is good despite I sent my duck back - it was well done when I asked for medium rare and then it came back as rare. Our waitress took it off from the bill. Great gesture. Dessert can be plated better. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed”

POP

Address: 1915 Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“Upscale bar with a speakeasy vibe located in Lafayette Square. POP serves up a wide range of champagne, sparkling wines, ciders, and even champagne cocktails (including one mixed with stout). There is also a snack menu that includes delicious small plates. POP definitely brings a new take on enjoying a glass of bubbly! Cheers!”

“I stayed in this area for a couple of days to get away from home and am happy to say coming here was one of the highlights of my stay in St. Louis. It’s the perfect neighborhood bar with some amazing cocktail infusions. I had the bourbon cobbler.. two actually, and was blown away by its flavor. Will definitely be stopping by when I visit St. Louis again.”

SqWires Restaurant & Annex

Address: 1415 S 18th St, St. Louis, MO 63104, USA

Restaurant

“Came for a Sunday brunch and the food was excellent. Drinks were quite high for the little amount you get. I don’t know if they allow people to take jars of toppings from the mimosa bar, but there was a table of several people that took 4 jars and just sat there hogging them - their waiter never said anything and I would have if i were using the bar. The skillet mash was amazing w/ Hollandaise sauce drizzled over. Will definitely order again. There were no food complaints by anyone at the table. Waiter + service provided was average.”
