“This place is the best!! It's clean, the staff is incredible and I love the fact you can see into the kitchen to see who is cooking your food. It gives the place an ole fashion diner feeling. I have on several occasions asked the Chef Lee Collins to make me a special order and he always comes through. I'm a huge fan of the blueberry pancakes and the French toast it's never soggy. My mum loves the strawberry waffles. And the best part is there's always leftovers for a snack after you wake up from the first round of your food coma after leaving. “I am visiting from Pennsylvania and was visiting family who heard Ronnie Earl (well known blues guitarist) was performing with a group. Music was superb. My first time listening/seeing blues performance -- I was captivated with the group. If you are around this weekend, I saw where they are having a Motown theme. Sounds good. I do suggest if you enjoy music and a good environment, check this place out as I know you will enjoy yourselves.”

“Best donuts in the region, especially their old fashioned donuts (IMHO). Their donuts are never greasy or "heavy" and very flavorful. They make the best apple fritters I've ever had! They brew excellent New England brand coffee. The people are wonderful; always helpful. Have been coming here for years and always satisfied. Have recommended them to many people who had same experience. I miss going in the store since COVID, but SO GLAD they are still offering window service!”

If you’re in the area, make sure to check The Beal House out! It’s hard to find a place like this in this area and is perfect for a intimate date night or cozy family dinner. Obviously the low expectations on my part show a bias based on my experience with many small, rural towns but in this case I was thrilled to be proven wrong. The atmosphere, menu, food presentation and taste, beverage and service were as good with what you would find on the coast or in larger metro area. “We spent about 4 nights here and absolutely loved it it was amazingly beautiful. The gardening grounds were absolutely lush and beautiful. The swimming lake was crystal clear fish everywhere kayaking was so much fun. Our kids love hiking up the Creek spotting freshwater rock falls, freshwater animals and flying animals and all the foliage.We couldn't have asked for a better way to disconnect. The food was very good wonderful flavors fresh and inviting. I wanted to bottle the Italian dressing and take it home with me. the dining hall reminded me of my summers at camp. The pianos throughout the camp made my daughter very happy she played often it helped her abit over her fear of playing in front of people. I only have 2 critiques. I do wish there had been maybe more bonfire access here and there I'm sure if we requested it we could have but we didn't. And some of the mattresses definitely need to be replaced but other than that everything was wonderful.”

“I remembered this Deli from a stop here last year. Been here twice in the last two weeks. This is not the place where they count out the pieces of cheese, deli meat or the meatballs. I went for the white tuna salad sub and needed a fork to put back the tuna salad that was oozing out the sides. Unlike the "national chains", with a huge exposure, it's the little shops that are hidden away that need to be highlighted so that they can survive. If you have a chance, stop by and give Big Dave's a try. You will get a great sandwich. It's August 2021 and I'm back at Big Dave's. I've been away because I live in Arizona. In the last 4 days, I've been to Big Dave's twice. This time I had the chicken salad sandwich both times. Delicious and a sandwich worthy of praise. While I won't mention any competitors, we all know the one that measures everything. God forbid you got an extra meatball in their 6-inch sub by mistake. At Big Dave's, you will not be disappointed.”

“We got take out on March 20, and came for drinks on March 27. Sadly I didn’t get photos of our take out meals, but they were excellent! I got the Tequila Bowl with grilled chicken. It was enough for two meals, and so fresh and delicious! My husband got the Burrito Supremo with beef. It was enormous! He loved it. The beef was thinly sliced, not ground. We will definitely be back to dine in. **great margarita specials on Mondays $5!!”
