“This restaurant is the sister restaurant to Panicos in West Cape May NJ. We I ordered the antipasto and salmon. The portion size is very large and tasty. This restaurant has an upscale modern decor and was completely remodeled from the old Blue Claw. They also have a separate bar areas and entertainment on the weekend. From a planning perspective book ahead on open table and expect crowds during the summer. They have a good cocktail selection, and also have a wood fitted brick oven pizza. This is one of the new hot spots next to Cape May, you should expect larger crowds and a busy atmosphere. They have an outdoor deck which overlooks a small marina which is a great spot for the summer. Excellent experience with food, expect waits for service. The food is excellent, the new decor includes a bar with entertainment which is a great spot to hang out if you come early enough. Keep in mind that restaurant is a sister restaurant to Panicos in West Cape May which is also an excellent spot.”

The real clincher though is the locale, overlooking the harbor by Wildwood and Cape May at the Jersey Shore. Even the parking lot is paved with crushed shells. If you're at the Jersey shore make this a stop.”

“Me and my friends had the best experience when we visited 5 de Mayo! The service was over the top and we were served the most authentic Mexican food we have ever had! Even the American style tacos that I ordered still tasted like authentic Mexican tacos. Overall, the food was like a Mexican party in my stomach! I also loved the atmosphere in the restaurant; it was so bright and happy inside. 10/10 would recommend. ❤️”

“Nice waterfront seafood restaurant. They don't take reservations which has its pros and cons. they offer a wide variety of seafood and some non-seafood. I have been told there prime-rib is excellent but as a seafood lover I've never tried it. Good place for celebrating special occasions. Staff seems really well informed about the food they are serving. One server gave me heads up about whether soft-shell crabs were fresh or frozen when I mentioned interest, even went to check with the kitchen.”

“My first visit to Mayer's was on May 4. We got there right at opening time so we were able to have our pick of seats. The service was very good. Three of us out of a party of four, ordered the scallops which were delicious. The fourth person got the sea bass special of the day which he enjoyed. There isn't much space inside so it is best to get there early. There is no where to hang out if you decide to wait for a table when the tables and bar are full.”

“For what it is, a beach snack bar (you order at the window), it is 5 star. We look forward to riding our bikes here and getting breakfast every year and it is consistently excellent. The bagel sandwich is the best I've had. Good bread, a real egg, tasty bacon, and a big piece of cheese. Much better than a commercial chain. Obviously, extra points for a good view (there is a good amount of seating) and good service, but this is a great stop for a quick and tasty breakfast. You can easily spend a whole morning checking out Diamond Beach, the two stores, mini golf and the WWII look out tower.”
