“What a hidden little gem! Being both vegan and gluten-free can be challenging. I like when I come to Lady and the Shallot I don't have to worry about those restrictions. The entire menu is vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free! The food is great tasting and clean. The mushroom cap panini is the best thing on the menu (gluten-free bread used, of course). The rainbow tacos are tasty, well. The owners are super friendly and diligently answer any questions people may have. Very down-to-earth, cool people. “Family owned and operated. Located on a slightly rural road in the suburbs. Easy access from Rte 206, Federal City Road and Interstate 95/295 Large surface parking. Large facilty with a bar, general seating area with booths, overflow area/room and a private room for parties etc. Live music on occasion, multiple tv's. Pizza, pasta and salads as well as sandwiches. Pizza are only personal size but easily enough for 2 ppl to share. Desserts available, try the cannoli. Prices are fair and on par with other restaurants in the area. Service was fine. Food was good, our party of 4 shared a ceasar salad, 2 plain and 1 sausage and broccoli rabe pizzas.”

“This was our first time here and we live an hour away. The food and staff were excellent and worth the trip. I only have two minor issues. The first is that they don't tell you up front two important things. They would prefer cash tips and they don't serve lunch on Sundays. Both are financial matters that might be nice to know before ordering. The second is that my soup, while warm enough to eat, was not hot. Since everything else was spectacular, I did not make an issue of these things to the wait staff. Overall, an excellent dining choice and I would come back again.”

“Mediocre, again basic diner menu with some positive and a few negatives. Ordered a California burger. The burger itself was cooked as requested (medium rare), but the bacon was cardboard and unappealing. Wilted lettuce and tomatoes on the edge of being over ripe. Jarred Cole slaw, frozen onion rings. Both good, the presentation wasn't bad. My companion had breakfast, pancakes with Italian sausage. The sausage was removed from the casing and flattened which detracted from the presentation. Oh and we were charged $4.00. For a glass of milk. 50/50 if I ever go back”
