If you’re a customer with champagne taste and beer money, do not come here. This place is not for you. Understand people, you pay for what you get. “Five stars for customer service and cleanliness. Authentic corn tortillas a plus. Minus for the size of tacos, although I believe they're traditional sized tacos. I think we're used to big Tex-Mex tacos here in the US. Al pastor & beef tacos were a hit. The chicken was meh, although I did love all the cilantro. The green sauce that comes with the tacos were OK. I was looking for more flavor and heat (spicy) in the chicken, but this is a personal preference. It was a mixed bag for me, but far better Mexican than anything I've tried locally. I will give them another chance because they are definitely trying and I expect that adjustments will be made along the way.”

“Like the other reviewers, I agree that this place is fantastic! Ordered the steak hibachi dinner (medium rare) and it was delicious! The meat was very tender and the overall meal was very flavorful. Also ordered some noodles for my daughter and she couldn't get enough of the noodles and rice. Yes, the wait was a little longer than stated, but that's totally understandable with a new restaurant. The woman at the counter was very kind and cheerful, and the interior of the restaurant seemed quite cozy. Can't wait to order from here again!”

“1st time here. We ordered 1lb shrimp with special sauce: hot, pasta with shrimp with special sauce: extra hot, a side of plain rice and french fries. According to menu pasta was supposed to come with marinara sauce, but chef was kind enough to accommodate pasta with special seafood sauce. 🙂 French fries came out first and it was light, crispy, well seasoned and delicious 😋 Rest of the food came out soon after that. That pasta with shrimp with special sauce was probably the most delicious pasta I have ever eaten in my whole life! 😋😋 My husband's pound shrimp, corn and potatoes were also really good. The french fries were good by itself but dipping them in special sauce made it even better! Definitely coming back here. Highly recommend this place, not only for good food but also for great service by the chef and the waitresses, both....”

From the location's cozy setting, to Gigi having the personality of your favorite aunt, the vibe she has made definitely makes this the spot to go to get a meal. Oh, and the food? It's the kind of food that's so good that your body is going to want to take a nap. It's real comfort food that, you may not have the time to make, since some dishes are quite intricate, but when you get the chance to have it, it makes you feel like you're at home, in your old neighborhood, or in that time space where you had far less worries. Also, in terms of parking, with the Flowbird app, it allows for 30 minutes free, so it makes take out easy, outside of peak hours downtown. Though you're likely to want to stick around and get to sit and eat.”

“COME MEET THE ELECTRIC MERMAID. I’ve been to this place already twice in the past month. First time had an açaí tropical bowl - which was amazing!! Second time went for the electric mermaid. I go for the flattop grilled chili dogs and a Stewart’s orange-cream soda. No need to put on your glasses to read the menu since it is above the counter in billboard size.
