“Rented a pontoon boat. Quality service from friendly staff. Had me in the water quickly at the cheapest price around. Really enjoyed our trip. No issues. Also had a vintage slush puppy machine that smashed me with some nostalgic emotions. Give it a try!”

“Wow! What a great patio! Nothing compares in the area! The owner has created an amazing specialty cocktail menu as well as a comprehensive wine selection. I could sit out in this patio and drink all day and I do on occasion! Every item I’ve tried on the food menu has been delicious and and has a very nice presentation. My faves are the Lobster Roll and the appetizers. Cheers to Steve and Bigfoot!”

“Absolutely spectacular food. Incredible service as well, they were quick and kind. We heavily enjoyed the green chile chicken quesadilla and the puffy verde beef taco plate. Best quesadilla I’ve ever had! The salsa is also amazing. We will certainly be stopping on the way back!”

“Our go-to Mexican restaurant is Tony's, but they were closed today, so we thought we'd try La Cocina. We haven't eaten there since it first opened at their current location years ago. We were greeted with a sewer smell as we walked in the door. As we left we found the smell was coming from the restrooms, which are located right behind the front desk, so that explains that. We can't eat cilantro, so when they brought the salsa and chips I told them we'd skip the salsa but they had salsa without cilantro, so that was nice. My wife had the chicken soft taco plate. It was good, but she was not a fan of the rice. I had the ultimate enchilada plate. It was also good, but I also thought the rice was lacking. It's easy to see that the whole place needs to be renovated as the carpet was very dirty, the paint was chipped and the decorative tiles on the tables have seen better days. The service was great from the host to our server Jeanette, who was very nice. We thought it was a bit pricey for the less than stellar ambience. If/when they ever renovated we might give them another try, but until then we'll stay with Tony's.”

“Stopped here with a friend. Fueling area was clean, and I pumped gas with no problem. The fueling area is quite spacious and easy to get in and out of. I went inside to use the restroom. It is shared with coffee shop and the Del Taco. The restroom was very clean.”

“Sat on the patio. Our server was really nice. The outside patio/bar doesn't have the full food menu every day. Pictured is catfish sandwich. UPDATE: Went back again and sat inside in the bar area. Full menu available. I got the walleye and my husband got the steak special. Met owner and he was nice. Different server who was also great.”

“Food was OK for the price, lacked flavor. Not the cleanest place either, sticky tables. Service was slow, due to there only being only one waitress. Interesting atmosphere, the place was riddled with quotes and portraits of celebrities to look at while you wait. Probably won't be visiting this place again.”

“This review is going to go back a month or so ago as well as my current review. A month ago, we were camping at the lake and wanted pizza. We found this place on Google and decided to try them out. We called...and called again...and called again, no answer. So we ended up going to another pizza place little further down the street who answered their phone. Now for today's order. We are camping at the lake again and wanted pizza. Called this place again and guess what....no answer! So we decided to drive to the restaurant and place our order for take out while we went and did grocery shopping. We ordered the large Meats pizza which was delicious! Now onto the garlic bites or whatever they want to call them....GROSS!!! On the drive back to our campground we wanted to try one of them since we were all pretty hungry. All of us were instantly disgusted with a super bitter and disgusting after taste. Tasted like way over use of garlic or just a bad recipe.I wanted to try it again thinking maybe dipping it in the marinara sauce would be good, nope! Could still taste the bitterness of them. They looked like fish sticks or chicken nuggets. (Look at the picture) Super weird. All were different sizes and shapes. I cant even describe them. Not even sure what the taste was but to say the least, we wouldn't even touch the rest of it and threw it out. Pizza was good and we will go back for that.”

“So good!! Pictured is the shrimp hoisin and it was soo good! Husband got spicy peanut chicken and really liked it. Very clean and friendly place. I believe it is take-out only but not sure how long that will continue. Definitely try it if you're in town. Also there are vegetarian and vegan options, as well as many seafood and chicken and steak.”

“We decided to order from here because of all of the amazing reviews. We were at the local TorC brewery and placed a pick up order. I was soon after met by a call from Michael, they were actually closed for the day due to the road this resides on being completely closed for construction. Michael was beyond wonderful and offered to come to the restaurant and prepare our order anyway, which blew me away. In our order we have two of the eggplant Parmesan dishes, although the dish is already prepared with plentiful thick cuts of eggplant, Michael was transparent in saying the dish is normally served with 3 slices and due to the closure there was only enough eggplant on premise for 2 slices each, I was more than okay with this yet Michael offered free cheesecake dessert for both us to make up for it. We accepted and I am just absolutely blown away by the customer service, taste of food, and efficiency between placing order and receiving (not even taking the fact that the restaurant was closed!! into consideration). We got the baguette’s with oil & butter, Caesar salad, tomato soup, and eggplant parm & each and everything EXCEEDED expectations. The micro greens in the Caesar gave the most high class feel to this meal, not to mention the made from scratch quality of everything. We visit TorC every couple of years for the hot springs and we will absolutely make a point to order from here every time from here on out.”

“We stopped for lunch at the Giddy Up Cafe. What a treat! Delicious, healthy food in more than enough portions. We ordered two omelets with different additions as well as a veggie omelette with an egg. Portions were large enough to share if you want. We parked on the street just across from the restaurant. Lovely shaded patio area made our visit complete as well as a delightful young lady who took our order. It’s not far off the interstate so stop by if you’re hungry.”

“First time here. It was okay. I feel they need to upgrade there entrees a bit. The seemed a bit blah. I ordered the Fajita Burrito and it came with rice and beans. It tasted good but wished it came with guacamole and sour cream on the side and a bit of lettuce also. Love the big cups they had for drinks. Worth a try if in the area. Would come back to try other dishes.”

“Update: Owner helped me out last minute with some absolutely amazing cupcakes for my daughter's birthday! They were huge carrot cake cupcakes and they were seriously the best I've ever had. I appreciated them helping me on such sort notice too! Athena crepe was delicious. Very friendly staff. No indoor seating and limited outdoor seating but we were able to sit on a bench nearby to eat. Most people probably take it to go! My daughter got the banana Nutella crepe and liked it. I would definitely go back!”

“At first glance, the Grapevine Bistro appears closed. Its a small venue where you order and food is delivered to the brewery across the street. Owner was super friendly and kind. Vegetarian options available such as Impossible burger. The food was delicious! I ordered the Blue bird with Hatch green chile potatoes. The bacon 🥓 on the sandwich and potatoes with melted cheese were perfection.”

“The green chili patty melt was delicious! My husband got the combination plate and liked it. Only complaint on the food is the gravy that came with the kids chicken and fries was soo salty, but overall we liked it. We also got ice cream, a shake, and sundae and it was really good!! Server was super nice too!”

“We were driving through and decided to take a chance to see if they had any rooms available. Lucky for us they did. We've been coming here for over 15 years and it's the only place we enjoy for taking in the healing waters. The breakfast is always good and a soak before we hit the road again is what we needed. The staff is excellent.”

“Greek pizza is phenomenal, fresh, robust flavors and they make their own crust. Margarita pizza was delicious as well, but truly preferred the Greek. Be sure to ask for Parmesan and pepper flakes which are in house packaged and not those weird little packets. A great new find here in TRC.”

“The restaurant is a bit shabby but if I could give 6 stars I would because the food is BAM BAM BAM!!! Stuffed sopapilla dinner and combination plate -red sauce and rice were some of the best I’ve eaten in New Mexico! Everything on our plates was cooked with excellent flavor!! Very few restaurants I’ve been to rate this highly for me. Our compliments to your chefs and wait staff!”

“Charming little restaurant in the middle of an old mining town. The service was personal since there were not that many seats. The burger I got was pretty well seasoned; a bit messy to eat but tasty. The fries were clearly homemade and crispy. I think it's well worth a visit just due to the decor alone.”

“Update: Unfortunately the restaurant is currently closed. This is a great place to visit and enjoy a good meal in a historic ghost town. The proprietors are friendly and the food is excellent quality and reasonably priced. They pride themselves on their homemade desserts. Make it a day trip and explore the town. The museum and store are both worth the time to see. This town has been lovingly restored and has that Wild West feel. Please note that the cafe is in Chloride NM not Caballo. I changed the location on the map, hopefully Google fixed this.”
