“Both the preparation and the presentation make the plates here delicious for the eye and the palate. We only wanted a light dinner, so the only appetizer we got was the bread. Husband ordered the burger and I got the salmon. Both of us were very happy with our choices. Finished the meal by sharing the lemon curd cake dessert which was neither too tart nor overly sweet. Just perfect! And the service was excellent as well. No wonder this place is thought of so highly among Taos restaurants.”

“The food is pretty great, they have some specials in their menu, the tamales and the taquitos special are my favorite. Here is a pro tip, order a side of guacamole (it’s actually just some smush aguante) but totally worth it.”

“Really fresh and delicious burrito that was perfect for the meal of the day. White beans, tempeh bacon and more warm crisp bits made me so happy. Great iced coffee and nice folks plus picnic on the lawn tables.”

“This restaurant is very consistent, I been coming here for several years now, and every time I left satisfied with the food and the service. In the summer the best is to seat outside is my favorite, but the inside is very charming. This time I order what I thought it will be a small dish, but I was wrong. the fish and chips was substantial, and let me tell you it was SABROSO for sure is in my top 5 fish and chips I ever had (i travel a lot and fish and chips it’s always in my list). You should totally try it. Oh and by the way, I will recommend to make a reservation ahead of time they are busy most of the time.”

“If you are near Taos Ski Valley, THIS is the restaurant you want to have dinner at. Everything on the menu is exquisite. Amazing service from our server Nick from the moment we walked in to the last bite of dessert. The flavors are divine and expertly spiced and seasoned. Consistently impressed by the food in this quiet little community.”

“Our Girls shopping day always includes lunch at Sol Food Market! The lattes are superb! And the fresh lunch menu never fails. We sit outside on the patio and enjoy our lunch, delightful!!”

“Come down to Midtown and get you some Tacos! Chef Jenny “From the Block” is here just killing the food game. We ordered chicken tacos and pulled pork tacos. The salsa is handmade fresh and delicious. Everything has been marinated and cooked perfectly. The bartender Joe is local, knowledgeable, and friendly. Stop by and find an “edge of the grid” experience. Overall, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stop in and grab some food and drinks. 7/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Do yourself a favor and come experience The Midtown. Don’t forget to play a few games of pool!”

“Renovated as of a couple of years ago. The lunch counter is now outside. The elk sausage is excellent. Now they've got more tables and couches indoors in case the weather isn't good for eating outside.”

“The Bavarian is an outstanding authentic German restaurant. The food was outstanding, the inside of the restaurant had a lodge like feel to it and was really neat. It's a little slow in Taos during the summer but the Bavarian was somewhat crowded when we had our late lunch there so you know that's a good sign if the locals like it there! Must be a madhouse during ski season.”

“This place is great except don’t come after 6:30 expecting to eat because apparently they “sit their last table at 6:30””

“Had the breakfast buffet at 192 within the Blake. It's summer time so the restaurant is only open a few hours in the morning but the buffet was great and all of the food was fresh. The restaurant is beautifully done by the way, I'm sure this place gets packed during ski season, it's definitely the highest end resturant within Taos Village.”

“Offering a full menu! Across from The Blake inside the Snakedance Condominiums. This spot isn’t really advertised, not sure if they are new to the area. We ordered the Wings and Lamb soup. The wings were a little bit greasy and could have used more lemon on the lemon garlic, tender meat though! The Lamb soup was my favorite of the two, great flavor and not to much spice from the green chile. It was just right! UPDATE: The next day We ordered the hondo club sandwich and it was delicious! Big sandwich triple stacked, tons of flavors. The fries that come with it are really good too! I would definitely eat here again given the limited options right now due to COVID. Just gotta adapt to the times and changes. Thank you for being open!”

“Excellent and knowledgeable server and bartender. Overall wonderful experience and good food. The salsa was the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Indoors is a little dated but charming.”

“Stopped by for a Sunday brunch- wonderful! Manager greeted us warmly and took us to a beautiful table on the patio. They had a delightful menu with several options. Two of our group ordered the breakfast parfait and said they were delicious My biscuits and Gravy were exceptional! Overall a great experience!!”

“Pretty much ruined us in terms of setting the bar so high for ski in/out -- have yet to find anything close. Such a great homey hotel setup, and super easy to set out each day. Keep in mind you'll need oxygen those first few days -- Taos is in the stratosphere. And the skiing is beyond great.”

“Wow, what a fantastic spot to have some drinks or a bite to eat in the Taos Village. The pub food is excellent, the views of the river outside are amazing, and the people who work at this establishment are the best! This little pub is located directly across from the Blake hotel and was our go to place all week long, I couldn't recommend the Taos Ale House highly enough!”

“This is our second year snowmobiling with Bobcat Pass and they are just as awesome as they were last year. We were scheduled for Wednesday but the snow hadn’t arrived. We got a snow dump Friday and we’re able to schedule for Friday morning. There was so much snow it was so fun, Mike was absolutely a fantastic guide. He helped make it fun. I love the free time in the meadow. Can’t wait for next year already! I definitely recommend them for your snowmobiling adventure!”

“There isn’t another restaurant for miles on this stretch of highway 64, but even if there was, Chili Line Depot would be worth the stop. I was surprised by just how much of their food was completely homemade and seriously delicious; the apple, green chili and piñon nut pie was a standout and I don’t think I’ll have anything else like it in my life. Not to mention the staff and owner were so welcoming to us and we had a great conversation about the history of the place. Highly recommend”

“Billy is always the best and treats you like family! We love Lifts West! We’ve stayed here since 1995 and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Right in the middle of town and being right next to the brewery is a huge plus! On the busy weekends you can walk next door put your name on the brewery list and enjoy waiting in your room.”

“Food was a big let down. Steaks were flavorless and tough, even cooked to medium rare. Potatoes were under cooked. Corn and cinnamon rolls were great. Biscuits were mediocre. Syd Masters is a gifted musician. I just hope you like the Marty Robbins/Bob Wills style of music. We also went to see the Michael Martin Murphey show and enjoyed it much more. Looks like they share a bass player between the two.”

“The pizza was good but slightly over-done. I think it would have been 5 star-worthy otherwise. There was about a 40 minute wait at what must have been peak dining time on a holiday weekend (tons of carryout business), but there is lots of outdoor seating near the street with plenty of people watching to keep entertained. Prices weren't unreasonable for a tourist area if everyone is sharing a pie. Multiple individual-size pizzas would quickly get astronomically expensive.”

“On vacation for the 4th of July, 10 of our family members ate here. We started off with chips and warm chunky hot sauce. We enjoyed the flavors of the sauce. Then ordered mixed drinks and beer. We ordered various different types of entrees from stuffed Soapapplias, quesadillas, enchiladas, stuffed burritos and then ended the dinner with huge Soapaplias. It was a great experience. Our server Janie was awesome, she took care all of our needs. Definitely recommend this restaurant.”

“Love this place. Made a special stop to grab breakfast on our way to Angel Fire. They always do an excellent job and food was great. Prices are reasonable. Come hungry as the portions are large.”

“Very nice place to ski and dear to my heart. There is of course Taos nearby and Angel Fire, which are also deserving places. What Red River has more is the town. It is a little, cute, charming old miners town, and virtually everybody there is really nice. The view of the town from above, driving from Eagle's Nest is really marvelous, as the town is nested in a small valley. The drive from Taos also afford beautiful vistas.”
