Red river Taos Taos ski valley

Mesa Vista Cafe

Address: 35323 US Hwy 285, Ojo Caliente, NM 87549, USA

Restaurant

“Now this is an Absolute Gem in the rough country. From the homestead tools and equip to the cast iron butter churns. You find something cool about the pictures and history. The Lady is a darling and so friendly and nice, Never once let my coffee go dry. Even made a fresh pot just for me. The food is homemade and cooked to order and could not be better even by special request. If you are passing through you would be derelict in your duty if you didn’t stop in for a bite.”

Ojo Caliente Restaurant and Hotel

Address: 50 Los Banos Dr, Ojo Caliente, NM 87549, USA

Restaurant

“After a great afternoon at the spa soaking away the stresses we were able to grab a bar table as all the reservations on a Fall Saturday evening were taken. Great waitress. Very attentive! Had the poblano fries which were amazing as was the beet salad. For dinner I had the chile rellenos. This entree was a little surprising in delivery. It was probably what my body needed, as in nothing fried but it wasn't really what I wanted which was a deep fried Chile relleno with lots of melted cheese and sour cream...and that is not what you get. The Chile pepper was cooked but still crunchy. The molle sauce was spicy. The quinoa and corn side was tasty. The meal was nicely presented and filling but not quite what I was looking for. But that caused me to order the creme brulee with fresh strawberries. Now this was exactly what I was looking for... unhealthy yumminess!!”

Martyrs Steakhouse

Address: 146 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“The food was fantastic, my pork chop was perfectly cook, the mashed potatoes were heavenly tasting, and the chimichurri just fantastic. Great customer service, every one was so nice to talk to, I seated down in the bar and it was such great choice, I had really nice interactions with must of the staff, bar tender was great as well. Is a great place to go. Part 2; I came back couple weeks after the first review cause I wanted to try the hamburger, because many people were talking about it, so I did ate it and it was glorious, just perfectly cook, I order some calamari as well, now I thought those were a little bit extra cooked, but tasty never the less.”

Bent Street Grille

Address: 120 M Bent St, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“Today was my first visit to the Bent Street Grille. I have been to the Bent Street Deli many times over the years and found the changes in menu and layout to be good overall. Over medium eggs, potatoes, dry rye toast, green chili sauce and coffee for me plus one of Deb’s pancakes. She had pancakes with blackberries and strawberries and a side of two O/M eggs and decaf coffee. Everything was quite tasty. The green chili sauce was a little thin for my taste but tasted very good and produced a slight nose run, an important aspect of spicy food. The staff were all pleasant and attentive. The new layout seems more spacious and easier to navigate. The patio is quite nice, too.”

Bomb Street

Address: 124 F Bent St, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“These tacos and burgers are the bomb! I love stopping here for a bite at the end of Bent Street. Such a beautiful spot to take a break and eat some tasty bites - like having tea time in a garden, but NM style. Love these guys and supporting them 👨‍👩‍👧❣️”

Lambert's of Taos

Address: 123 Bent St, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“This would have been a 5 star experience but it went down down down at the end. Our server was super chill and sweet. She was very attentive for the first hour and 1/2. After that, we were virtually ignored by her as she scrambled to take care of larger and more lucrative parties. The manager stepped up but why couldn't she bring us our bill? We sat there for a 1/2 hour waiting for it. In my book, there is no "Taos Time" at expensive restaurants. There is a standard of service that should be upheld with no excuses. The mushroom bisque was awesome, the steak was good, the flavors all good but I expect to be paid attention to consistently and all the way through just like I was at the beginning. Don't bother dressing up, there were jeans and ski vests here like at most places (which is cool and not cool) Service is important and you can lose reputation on this alone even if the food is good. Desserts were huge! Would I go back? I haven't decided yet (and yes we are purchasing land in the area so I'm not just a tourist or touron).”

“This pizza place has great atmosphere, good location with plenty of parking, friendly staff and most importantly good pizza. I been coming to this place for about five years. Their menu offers soups, salads pasta dishes, and desserts. They have and a good selection local beers and they also serve wine. My favorite beer is the tangerine IPA it pairs really nicely with the Greek pizza. Taos Pizza offers a lovely casual setting perfect for families . The have indoor seating nice and warm in the winter months as well as seasonal outdoor seating. If you find yourself in Taos swing or call ahead and place your order you won’t be disappointed.”

The Love Apple

Address: 803 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“This is one of the prettiest restaurants in Taos, is so charming, so well designed, the old church is the perfect space for dining, the altar is my favorite part of it. Their patio is gorgeous, if the weather is nice, you should it outside. Now the food; exquisite is the only thing that comes to mind. To start I order a tortilla soup, and for main dish I got the duck breast on a tamale, the sauce was a little spicy but nothing you wouldn’t handle, the duck is perfect in every way. This might be my favorite dish I got this trip. If you are in Taos this restaurant has to be in Your list for places to visit.”

Blake's Lotaburger

Address: 809 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“I really appreciated this place. Yes, their food is great… had a hamburger and fries… yummy. But… our van had troubles (flat tire) and there is a little park by this place… so we not only ate lunch here… we spent some time changing a flat tire… getting dirty… and cleaning up in their restroom… and yes, we cleaned up our mess in the restroom. The little park was a huge plus… and nice place to eat outdoors and enjoy ourselves!”

“Absolutely charming. We loved everything about it, including the authentic New Mexican food, great presentation, aesthetic / decor / atmosphere and friendly service. The staff all seemed to love being there, as did the customers. That to me demonstrates something special, and it shows in the care and artistry of their plates. Will definitely recommend and return next time we're in Taos. Thanks!”

“We just moved to Taos several months ago and have been here 3-4 times.... food has always been good (fresh sushi), service for most part good...but as some others have mentioned in their reviews, the owner is kind of arrogant and rude. Torn between continuing to patronize his place or find another Japanese restaurant.”

Nana’s & Papa’s Authentic Filipino Favorites

Address: 22 Garcia Ln, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“Nana and Papa’s! Or as I like to call it Lola and Lolo’s The handmade green signs were easy to spot from the road and how I found out that there was even a Filipino food place in Taos. Beth and Tom were incredibly kind and friendly. Tom even moved the picnic tables to the shade so we could enjoy our meal away from the glare of the NM sun. People tend to forget that kindness and hospitality can make the food and experience better. Food made with kindness and love always tastes the best. But let’s get to the food part of the review. As a Filipino who travels a lot, I’m always keeping an eye out for Filipino food. I have had a lot Filipino food between AZ and NM. This little delicious cart is at the top of the list. Let me tell you it’s been a long time since I’ve had a home cooked meal, and Nana and Papa’s feels exactly like it. The adobo was close to the deliciousness of my moms cooking. Which any Filipino will tell you, nothing will beat moms cooking. Let me tell you about the Turon. It is my fave Filipino dessert, and I’ve had thousands of it in the Philippines and states, and this pound for pound is arguably the best Turon I’ve had. I’ve had it with plantain and sugar / drizzle filling, ice cream on top, etc., but never a banana / jackfruit combination that N&P’s did. The little whip cup with cinnamon just topped it off. It is a must stop. I will definitely comeback for another Filipino dish and try the Halo Halo too. A true hidden Filipino gem in all of NM.”
