“A diner that tastes homemade, feels like home with an amazing staff? Yes! Would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend! Just be warned that the locals get their Boba Tea here. That said, be nice to the staff they're a small but hardworking one!”

“This is the kind of place you wish you'd find in every small town that you pass through on your way to your major destination. Mountainaire is on the way to higher elevation towns and is only an hour from Albuquerque. Alpine Alley is a local gathering place with a comfy couch and tables, a fully-equipped coffee house, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, and a take out cafe with homemade bakery items that will satisfy your innermost cravings. They sell out quickly though - when I arrived around 10am, there was only one blueberry muffin left. I had it heated with butter and it was heavenly. The espresso was perfect as well. The owner is friendly and funny and seemed to know every patron that came through the door. Of course. I was driving a back route to Las Vegas, New Mexico, that took me through this mountain town and several others. My journey was saved by my 20 minute stop here. I hope yours is, too.”

“Heard about this little spot and finally got a chance to visit. I went with their taco salad and even after getting it home.. Was amazing!!! They have great outdoor seating, which I think would be nice for small parties, get togethers. They offer indoor dining. Hope to drag the hubby for a visit now that I know they are opened a little later. See you soon. GSG.”

“So happy we stopped here for lunch on our drive through Estancia. Such a great spot on the main road through town. We were greeted right away, friendly owner and great experience. The atmosphere is perfect. While we waited for our food the kids played cornhole and had a blast. There are also horseshoes and plenty of sitting options all outdoors.”

“My wife had been driving all day and by the time we got to town, most places were closing in like 20 min. So we ended up at Country Pride. Was leary after some of the comments, but my fear was unfounded. The food was excellent. The service was good, despite Rita having to try to do everything by herself cause her help went home early at 5pm on a Saturday night. Thank you so much Rita for taking care of us. You were very attentive.”

“Great Shell station attached to a TA Truck Stop. Clean restrooms, good services. Kind of small -- only a few pumps, but a very good stop with no problems.”

“Simple, little place with traditional Punjabi style good items. Items tend to change day by day, with few common ones like Paratha, Samosa, Roti and alike. Food is spicy, if not super 🔥. Be aware, they can't make them mild or customize for different tastes or anything. Place is meant for truckers and food is simple and fulfilling rather than appeasing or entertaining. If you are looking for ambience, variety, or something like that this isn't a place for you. Loved the Aloo Paratha and the side Rails, really 😋😋 yummy 😋 😋. The curries are great with both paratha and rice. If you are looking to find some great traditional Punjabi food, do stop by and enjoy the food. Their samosa and Chai are also very good. Every food is made of ginger and spices that are great for your health, the Punjabi Style.”

“We found this lovely gas station on our way through NM on a Route 66 tourist website. The kind owner and operator of this last remaining operating Whiting Brothers Station came out to greet us from his home nearby. He opened up the still operating service station (no longer pumping gas) and told us his fascinating story. He has worked here since the station opened on Route 66 in the late 60s. He sold us a few postcards, a mug, and a couple magnets. Sal very nicely turned on the lights so we could take some pictures in the twilight. Stop by and say hello! If you are a Stranger Things fan, this station appears about 14 minutes in on the last episode of season 4!”

“We stopped here for a quick bite on our way to California. It was already 9pm and few places were still open. The service was fast and the food was delicious. Big portions and reasonable prices! If you are driving along the route 66 this is the place!”

“This place was amazing. Food was ready quickly and absolutely delicious. They forgot to give us our ketchup so my husband went to go back inside and get some and one of the workers on break saw him and went in for us and got it. Their service was on point - couldn't be happier with this place in every aspect. Great job guys, keep up the good work and the amazing food! Wish we lived closer to come back again and again.”

“Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere for such a small place! Selection of food is great for those who like barbeque. They had tables with umbrellas outside and a few inside that were usable in keeping with the safe distancing rules in place right now.”

“The food is pretty good. We like to get the wagon master. I've gotten it at least six times. Each time I have specified "no onions ", and it has onions on it EVERY TIME. This tells me that they don't care much for pleasing their customers.”

“They need more vegan options and to change gloves between making meat sandwiches and vegetarian/vegan sandwiches. It would also be nice to have them put more toppings on. It gets tiring to ask them for a descent smount.”

“This was our second try here. The first experience wasn't that great so we waited six months and tried again. This time was MUCH BETTER!! First, they have their servers wearing masks and I, personally, APPRECIATE THAT. We ARE still having a pandemic. They were using social distancing best practices and it allowed us to dine in and have our first steaks out in A LONG TIME, which were DELICIOUS!! Baked potato, house salad, wonderful broccoli. Everything was amazing and our server was attentive but NOT TOO much and I like that. This visit canceled out our first visit and now we will be back!”
