“I am local to the area and have eaten here several times. We love atmosphere, the food and the service. After reading several reviews from the last month I felt I needed to clarify one of them from a 1 star reviewer named Joseph. I was also having dinner at the same time as this gentleman and his party. We had arrived here after attempting to have dinner at another local establishment down the road. Upon arriving we had noticed that they were rather busy as was every other restaurant in town on a Saturday night in the summer. We were seated rather quickly and noticed that our waitress was very upset and crying. It didn't take long for us to figure out what was happening. Our waitress was also waiting on another table that was very vocal and very rude to her. We could hear everything they were saying and were honestly appalled and offended that you could treat anyone this way. EVERYONE is entitled to a bad day. But it appeared to my party that he had talked his bad day out on the waitress. People in food service are not lesser than you and you get back what you put in. We had absolutely no issues with this girl, the manager or the restaurant. They are certainly not missing out on this man and his party not returning. But honestly you would be if you listened to this man's rantings and didn't at least give it a try. Please feel free to mail me your $15 gift card if you don't want it because I will use it.”

Same great food, fast friendly service, the legendary sauce, so no reason to change. No ridiculous "contemporary" dishes - you go here for a Texas Hot (or a fine burger), fries or onion rings and say, maybe a shake. Writing 'a Texas Hot' is unjust, best to get 5 or 6, maybe crack into double digits :), then a side. The food is ALWAYS fresh and well cooked. To close, because everybody has a keyboard and tends to exaggerate everything, I want to be crystal clear and make sure this point comes across with all the meaning I can muster - Johnny's Lunch is an INSTITUTION. “I had a great grilled chicken salad for lunch. Very large portion of chicken smothered in cheese on salad with fries. Wonderful homemade Italian dressing. Our group of 20 people for lunch all said they enjoyed their lunch except one person . The staff were great at handling orders and delivering all the food hot from the kitchen in only a few minutes. For dinners we like the booths and casual atmosphere of the cove. Great burgers, great fish fry and tall drafts.”

“Nice renovation. They have a box deal two medium pizzas, your choice of wings, pasta and bread sticks for $19.99. They do charge a $1 more for cheesy bread sticks. Pizza and food was hot. Restaurant was clean. Check online for some takeout deals and sign up at Pizza Hut. Com bathroom was clean as well. Friendly waitress. All around nice experience. If they are busy be patient and remember they have take out orders also. ????”

“We had a great dinner there last night; the waitress was charming and very efficient, checking in often, even when she was on her way somewhere else. Very impressive was the fact that they discovered my missing iphone in a dark corner and kept it safe until I was able to return to retrieve it. Even more impressive, however, and as wonderful as that was, when I offered the manager a tip to be shared, he refused it. He was as kind and gracious as could be. All in all, an excellent evening with a happy ending. We will return! Thank you, Applebee's!”

I can recommend the soy-ginger salmon. The chef was on his/her game tonight. The fish was tender and moist. It separated into delicate flakes and had a mild flavor, enhanced with the savory sauce. Red Lobster gifted me with a choice of a lobster pizza, lobster roll, or a third choice. They had me at "lobster"! The pizza was yummy. If you have not down loaded the Red Lobster app, do so today.
