“First the good: The cocktails were refreshing, creative and fun. The "pool buddy" was an easy to drink, balanced bourbon based cocktail, and the "battleship" was pleasant as well. The Detroit pizza and Pasta Bolognese were prepared well and tasted excellent. The restaurant is also set up very well for the pandemic, with more than 8ft between tables. The bad: I wish I could say the menu was nearly as inspired as the cocktail list, but it wasn't. For a restaurant that uses locally sourced ingredients and makes an effort to pass itself off as more of a gourmet experience, I expected more to the menu than pizza, pasta, and a double cheeseburger. When there are many options within 10 min walk that offer more creative menus that taste just as great and are similarly priced or less expensive, it's hard to find a compelling reason to choose Marble & Rye. It's important to note that the menu changes every day according to what ingredients are seasonal/locally available, but this means an inconsistent experience. If you are feeling lucky, stop by Marble & Rye to check out the menu. If not, there are plenty of good options around the block. Has the potential to be 4 or 5 stars, but the menu needs to be better.”

“My wife and I ate at 100 Acres six times during a recent stay at the Henry Hotel, and we really enjoyed it. The food was imaginative, well prepared with the freshest ingredients, and quite tasty. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Given the quality of the food and the service, we found the prices to be reasonable. The fact that we returned five more times after our initial visit shows just how much we enjoyed it. I would knock off a half star because the service did get slow when they were very busy, and the hard surfaces make it extremely loud when the many guests are talking.”

“Went there for breakfast. The menu is small but it's amazing. They have the traditional continental breakfast option and then a small regular menu. My friend got the avocado toast, and I got the Belgium waffle. Both were super amazing. Wait staff was great. The coffee is a bit expensive, but whatever... endless refills. The booths are very cozy and sort of private, like you're in your own little nook. I really liked that.”

“Have been to Scotch N Sirloin many times. Last night my wife ordered surf and turf (8 ounce beef tenderloin and 8 ounce lobster tail) and I ordered the 12 ounce beef tenderloin special crusted with black pepper corns and a butter herb topping. Best steak I ever had. Very flavorful and very tender and my wife's lobster tail was was grilled to perfection. Salad bar is always great and our waiter Andrew was very attentive and courteous. Best meal I ever had, 50 years and they just keep getting better”

The time I spent there that night, the music was nice and the staff was positively vibrant. I was invited to come and have a Sunday breakfast. I had the most amazing fish, eggs, grits and drink. The Groove is a must to check out if you ever visit the cool City of Buffalo, NY. I want to give a shout out to Janelle, Ricka, and Dorthy. continue making Upstate New York Best Fish because until they have had your haddock fish w/eggs and grits on Sunday they have not tasted real fish. It was crispy, buttery, melt in your mouth, well seasoned make you want to do back flips fish. Thank you all at the Groove for making my visit a time to remember.”
