“I went to the Lark Tavern today for the first time since it reopened. It was amazing. First, it's absolutely beautiful inside! It is welcoming and friendly. I didn't expect the food to be so good, since the focus is obviously on music, but it was excellent. It's an excellent night out, I was so happy. “My partner and I had an amazing Catskills getaway with our pup. The three owners have brought their backgrounds in hospitality to the (almost) top of Hunter Mountain, giving guests a very well thought out experience. The hotel features an original 70s pool, a cocktail bar with a great menu, food, pool (the game), and a wrap-around porch to sip a cocktail and watch the stars begin to appear. “I came here with a couple of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday after a couple of times of rescheduling due to bad weather. A huge thanks to Naomi, the owner, for being so flexible. The owners are super friendly and personable and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed ourselves. The facility is really beautiful and gives you a relaxing vibe. The instructor was fun and very accommodating. The only reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is because of the food and the painting selection. The food was OK. I ordered truffle fries with Parmesan and I got spicy seasoned fries. I couldn’t taste any truffle oil because the fries were so spicy. Also, the painting for the night was changed without our knowledge which was a little disappointing because we chose that particular paint night for that particular painting. But we had fun and made the best of it. I would just recommend letting customers know ahead of time if you are going to change the type of painting done for the session. Overall though, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return.”

“Great ambiance & atmosphere. Had a reservation during the happy hour but, sadly got there late and was told we were now considered a walk-in which is understandable. Front greeting area is very tight and once waiting, gets a bit cramped, hot & crowded. Once a table opened up we were promptly seated and were obliged for the happy hour specials still. Salute for that! The drinks are sadly pre-made and there isn't an actual bar for cocktails here yet. They do have some top shelf favorites on display but, not sure if that is for bottle service, etc. The food was decent, came out quickly and was fresh. The hookah was good and wasn't too harsh as some other reviews (via the former name of Halo Lounge) have stated. We had a genuinely good time here, love to support black owned business and will visit again.”
