“This place is incredible. It’s owned by a Polish couple who hustle on the floor right along with the rest of the staff. Hubby makes the sauces and the brisket in the kitchen from scratch. Prices are incredibly reasonable for this area. Service is efficient and upbeat. Seriously - this is a must do place if you’re looking for hearty food with a touch of class. Definitely recommend the Redneck Burger and fries.”

“I'd give it 3.5 at best. Food isn't great at all. Ordered a steak medium rare it was medium, prime rib rare it came medium. Presentation was like it was thrown on the plate and in season vegetables were baby carrots out of a bag. However, the waiter ( Kyle) we had was amazing and what made this review a 3.5 star had the food been better it could easily be a 4.5 and had they not had Kyle 2/2.5 . Thanks Kyle for great service ! And making the best of a ho hum restaurant.”

The restaurant has a really nice ambience (besides lacking extensive bear decor) and is right along side mirror lake. The food itself is actually very good. “The front is non-descript. The back has great view of Mirror Lake. We ordered Mediterranean & linguine with clams. The avocado has bruises, the greens have some dead leaves. Otherwise the scallops, shrimps & grilled calamari were good. My wife didn't like her pasta as it has gritty sand. I had to finished it. Yes, there is sand but we got 10% discount for it.”

“Great place for a good breakfast option to go. Bagels on the whole are fresh and soft from what experienced. The schmears are all good quality, and properly applied. The bagel egg sandwiches are great! Really good option if you want a little hardier option for the start of your day. Our group went for lunch also (though missed that trip) and everyone was really happy with their sandwiches they all said). Staff moves people through pretty quickly, even though the line seems a bit long sometimes. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Definitely patron these folks, they are good people and provide good product.”

“Visited on August 26, 2019, for lunch. It was a beautiful late summer day, hardly a cloud in the sky, so we decided to eat lunch on their deck. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and given our choice of tables. Our server was friendly and efficient. The menu had many good choices and the beverage options were ample. Our meals were served promptly and the food was well prepared and delicious. The prices were more than reasonable. This place did not disappoint; I would return. I would also tell family and friends visiting Lake Placid that, based on our experience, they would most likely enjoy Generations! Cheers!”
