“The criticism of this restaurant is unfair. Traditional Moroccan food will take time... be patient. If you want quick eats... hit a local bar; this isn’t that. The service was great. The food is pretty authentic and the drinks, although priced pretty high are very good. This isn’t a cheap place but the overall experience and food is definitely worth it. Definitely reccomend.”

“Extended family of 8 for dinner. Had the price fix taster menu. Delicious and plentiful. Dessert was excellent. My only big complaint is the noise. Music is way too loud for upscale restaurant. Mostly couples and families-not at all a bar setting. Hard to have a conversation with anyone other than the person sitting next to you. This place adjoins a shopping area in Chelsea and is a neat place to spend a few hours. The dining hall itself is really neat and the food is amazing. The Dim Sum was top notch and the noodles were just as good.”

“Really enjoyed this place. The food was great. Our favorite by far was the shrimp tacos. The lobsters tostada and the pork belly was very delicious as well. The drinks were awesome as well. The decor is nice. Dim lighting perfect for an evening date. The staff is very attentive and service overall was excellent. “The beer is always on point here. I remember I first walked in thinking it was your run-of-the-mill Irish pub, meaning Guiness, Bass, Coors Light and Blue Moon if I was lucky. When I first saw that menu I felt like I hit the damn jackpot. So many great local rotating beers, the bar staff is always friendly and loves to talk about the beer and upcoming beer events. The crowd is definitely not rowdy, probably because it’s mostly people who are paying more money for better beer and that tends to bring a more affable crowd in general.”

“I did my birthday party this weekend at Manhattan Proper. The food was excellent. I ordered the family style dinner. I was given steak, chicken, and salmon and everything was very yummy. The best part of it all was I asked to have the Rangers game on and that was no problem. The place has a bunch of tvs that you can come and watch any sports game. Excellent atmosphere. The waitress was very helpfully and always asked if our table needed anything. I highly recommend Manhattan Proper.”

“This is a part of the arthouse theatre Metrograph that has amazing roster of film screenings. And the upstairs lounge and restaurant is stellar. Has an old theatre in art deco Miami feel. There is often an after-movie rush of people in the evening after 8 or 9, avoid it if you can. Any other time, you can hang out for a while, chat with friends, read, drink, and they won’t rush you. The drinks and food menus are adventurous and fun.”

“Oyster lovers, Two words. Happy. Hour. Can't go wrong with fresh, delicious, one dollar oysters and 6 dollar draft beers. Everyday the chef chooses which oyster will be used for happy hour. “Nabe is a good restaurant with amazing service. I would recommend it more for its awesome service than anything else, even though the food is good as well. The setting is real tranquil and welcoming, with a subtle vibe. The only issue I have is that the portion for their rice meals are too tiny for the price, when I've had much larger portions at other places for the same price. That being said, their soups are a big portions so it just depends on what you order. I would go back to this establishment.”
