“First time here. Found on Yelp search for breakfast near me. ( I'm in Clay) Mostly full diner. Greeted promptly & brought menu and coffee. Also ice water. My hubby ordered 2 eggs and toast, I ordered a 2 egg mushrooms & spinach omelette and we got a large order of their greens with home fried potatoes. Wait time for food was over 30 minutes. The food was great, especially loved the breakfast greens. Only complaint was the mushroom were canned. Owner came out to apologize for long wait. Said he'd just brought in a new cook 2 days ago. Would definitely try again. Very clean - comfortable place! ????”

“Let me start by saying I'm going back to eat. To begin; their dining area when we went during lunch was poorly lit. They really need some ambient lighting in there, or turn the lights on low. Huge menu with everything I could want. Our server was friendly. The food came out quickly. Their BBQ sauce is great. Their smoked wings did not taste very smoky (perhaps because they were deep fried to order?) The blazin bbq sauce was delicious and they were crispy. Better than most other wings anywhere else. The brisket... *sigh* needs help. Its far too thin and is clearly cut on a deli slicer. I imagine you're losing some bark to the slicer that could have made a full slice if cut by hand. Sides we ordered weren't that great and all seemed to lack salt and pepper. I say all this with it in mind that I'm going to go again sometime. Its solid BBQ at reasonable prices.”

“EDIT* * * I have now been back several times. And Service has gotten better. First time here and I left annoyed and disappointed. I hate when I go to a new establishment for the 1st time and my experience is bad. Order was made wrong; the person I was with ordered salami on her sub but it ended up on my sub. I ate it because who wants to wait for a new one. I still had to wait for her sub to be remade with salami. Since these subs are hot its best to eat them sooner than later so needless to say when I finally was able to eat my sub it was cold. I am not sure how hard it is to make a sub but it looks like more training needs to be done here. So far these reviews aren’t so good. This is a new location; you better step up your game if you don’t want to get a bad reputation. With that being said I do love the subs at Firehouse so I will give this restaurant another shot, hopefully they get their S*** together.”

“2019 update: My husband ate there recently and he was super sick afterwards. Won't ever go there again. Our server was distracted the whole time we were there but she kept trying to be chummy when she did interact with us and kept making inappropriate comments about what we chose to eat. Weird. ******FYI: They dismantle the lunch bar at 1:30 here! Unbelievable! AND our server did not communicate that to us, so I don't really feel like I got to finish my meal. I was sitting with my back to the bar. When I got up & turned around to go get something it was completely empty. The food was very good but the restaurant wasn't busy enough to keep much variety in the pizza bar. There's a sign out front advertising a "$5 Buffet" (BUT charge $3 extra for your beverage!) Won't be going back there anytime soon.”

“This place has some awesome food!!! Waitress was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend. I need to make a suggestion. If you are going to be open on Sundays and especially a holiday, you really need to offer the dinner menu well before 3 pm. We made a reservation for fathers day for 1 PM and was told we could only order lunch which was mainly sandwiches. People usually eat an early dinner on Sunday and on a holiday, they usually want dinner food. Unfortunately we left without ordering. Loved our first visit and I'm concerned the place isn't going to survive if obvious changes aren't addressed.”
