“We love Hokkaido. The owners are wonderful. They remember us and genuinely care about our family. It's also the best sushi in New Paltz- hands down, no contest! Get a mango salmon roll- our favorite!”

“Wow, so glad we stumbled upon this gem. I'll definitely be back. Great food, great service. Such nice people. Gluten free (for real) and vegan. Lots of nuts!!”

“Worth the wait. My friends had breakfast, but I had lunch —a chicken sandwich with sprouts and multi-grain bread. It was out of this world! Tasted super-fresh, healthy and homemade. Despite the crowd in the vestibule, they did not rush us. Prices were very reasonable.”

“Some of the best Mexican food I've had in the northeast. Owner and start are wonderful. Be sure to try some of the sauces. The steak is delicious and of much higher quality then in similar spots.”

“Heard about this place from locals so we tried it. I was not blown away but the food was good and service is good. I'm not a difficult customer but they did get my order wrong and I decided to keep the wrong order. The sandwich was pretty good, but I was not offered any compensation or anything else in return, I probably would have declined it but it would have been nice to have at least been offered something.”

“Three food here was very good! Generous portions; a little on the pricy side, but truly unique and tasty. Not everything offered was available, which was only slightly disappointing, as whatever was available made up for it. The okra stew was a true surprise! Excellent. The baklava was perfect! Worth a trip if your in the area.”

“Always a good time drinking at Murphy's. Drinks are affordable and there's usually a special going on at night. I usually go for the night life don't know to much about the lunch or dinner menu, but this place usually is packed with college kids or Greek life. If you don't like crowds this isn't the place to be.”

“Delicious food! So you won't leave hungry but you will leave thirsty because they don't refill squat. Bring a camel pack and two extra bottles of water. The decor is nice...”

“Best food in town the only place in New Paltz worth spending your money at. The lady that runs this beautiful establishment it's polite clean and works very hard. If I could put a thousand stars it wouldn't be enough.”

“Very good place! Cozy place, amazing food! Soups are the best as other foods! Will def. come back again!”

“Really delicious and the family that runs the restayrant are warm and welcoming. This is my granddaughter's favorite restaurant. When you go you gotta try the calamari. It's really exceptional”

“Excellent Food. Excellent Drinks. Excellent Service. Excellent Prices. Found this gem on a whim passing town and I loved the authentic decor and music. I ordered the Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and the sides and sauce were amazing. Definitely with be back.”

“Surprisingly good food. Not that I expected it to be bad, but the little things really elevate your meal here. Perfectly cooked food.”

“Artisan sandwich shop offering non-sandwich options like power bowls, salads and thai peanut noodles. The outdoor seating is great in the spring-fall months. Definitely a good spot to get a quick bite or even have a lunch meeting. Parking however, usually requires one of the municipal/metered lots.”

“Got the jerk pork with fried dumplings and seasoned rice. Everything was great and perfectly seasoned except for the rice. It was surprisingly bland. Pork and dumplings were great tho.”

“Stopped here for a quick bite with the kida. Definitely your Irish bar/college crowd scene, although they do tailor to families with kids. Food was what you would expect from a typical Irish pub although we weren't happy with the wings, which weren't well cooked and had very little meat on the bones. The service made up for it.”

“Before I used to work here, it was a common place for me to hangout and spend my free time gaming. Now that I work there, I love connecting with people about their favorite games and hearing how our place is a great addition to the town instead of just another bar (although we do sell beer to keep up with the competition.) I host Karaoke on Wednesday nights which is also our wing special. Thursday nights is our tournament night, BRING YOUR OWN CONSOLE IF YOU WANT TO FACE YOUR FRIENDS IN FORTNIGHT - 8$ for 4 pbrs and buy 1 get 1 gyros. Overall I am really passionate about this place and look forward to seeing you come by to sing, place, dance, or game with us. -Alex, out.”

“Good cheap pizza. Daily specials. Nothing wrong with it, but you get what you pay for. If you are trying to save a buck, go here. If you want the best, spend the extra few bucks at Flames down the street”

“This place is super cool. I had a grilled bacon egg and cheese with home fries, and the meal is called a "Mosh Pit" which I knew I immediately had to have, considering I grew up listening to hardcore and death metal. It was delicious. They use real eggs. Nice thick pieces of toast, too. I'll be going back soon for sure.”

“Great bakery with lots of gluten-free and vegan options, from gelato to crepes to cakes! I enjoyed the service provided to me and encourage anyone in the new paltz area to check this little place out”

“I think first and foremost I want to shout out Bill, our waiter, because he was fantastic. The restaurant was very slow for a Friday night at 6:30. It was my table and one other; although 2 or 3 more would later join as we were leaving at 7:30-8. Bill was attentive and had a lot of character. I wish every dining experience had a waiter like him. The food was good and well prepared. I really liked the snap peas as a side on the samtimbocca with chicken. I do wish the appetizer list had a few more non-seafood options. I'd recommend for a nice night out.”

“best pizza I’ve had in a while! I never eat the crust but I can’t help myself when it comes To flames’s pizza????. Their wings are top notch, above satisfactory. Service was also super great !”

“Good bakery. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to have proper dinner, but sweets were amazing. Atmosphere is cozy, service is great. I’m sure it’s gorgeous in the summer, coz they have seating outside. Added to my bucket list and would definitely come back and check it out in the summer. Good luck ????”

“I fantasize about the crustini with whipped ricotta and truffle honey app when I'm not there. I’ve never had a meal that wasn’t scrumptious. Even when it’s made with food I don’t normally like, I have never been disappointed. The service is warm and friendly, it feels like home only it tastes better.”

“I can never tell if this place is the best known or best kept secret in New Paltz. Their food is amazing and their beer selection is explicitly responsible for some of my now favorite beers. Service is always quick and kind. In the summer, the outdoor seating is plentiful and comfortable. Shaded tables are available as well as some in the sun. In the winter, the interior is warm and inviting. The food is heavy, hearty and delicious but they have light / vegan options available. I love that we have this place in the area.”

“Large brew pub with decent bar food. Staff is friendly and even on a busy night you can usually get a table. Food and beer here are pretty good. Not great but good.”

“Great restaurant , great service ! Linda is so friendly and always has a smile on her face to greet you ! The Tuna steak is tremendous, my personal favorite , but I've never heard any complaints from my parties, whether it was 15 or just the 2 of us, it's always nothing but compliments and satisfaction every time we visit. Visit this restaurant and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed! Update::: 2/16/19 Once again a awesome experience! From being greeted by Linda to having Tyler wait on us we could not be happier. I had the Tuna once again, perfect! We also had wings for app, and full rack of ribs for dinner which were fall off the bone perfect ! I'm telling you please go here if you want perfect quality food and a great experience.”

“Delicious fries for an affordable price. The portions are pretty big, and fries are delicious. I got the putine fries, and the cheese curds and gravy were so good! I got the medium and it was large enough to share. The wait was not short, but that's because the fries were made fresh and fried right in front of me.”
