“We had a party of 12 and Debi took care of us! Not only was the food PHENOMENAL but the atmosphere was great. Beautiful spot by the water, family oriented but still a sophisticated vibe. Debi was freaking amazing, we waited for nothing. She was friendly and funny and very attentive. We will be back again very soon not just for the food but the incredible hospitality!!!”

“I’m going to start with the fact it was a Friday night on 4th of July weekend. It was very busy and me working as a lead line cook at a restaurant I understand. Food took about an hour to get and for the most part was pretty tasty. My seafood platter was fried and the fried food seemed to had been sitting in the window for a while. My wife’s stuffed fish was excellent. My mother in laws steak was burnt. Now it was a mid well that she ordered but as I know there are ways to get medium well with our burning the outside. Our server wasn’t paying us much attention. But I understand they were short staffed and very busy. The owner of the place was very nice and cool! Took off the steak and even offered to cook another 1. All in all was a good visit. Even though my seafood platter wasn’t very good I’ll still give 4 stars for the fact that the owner was very nice and I understand the restaurant industry”

“Not outstanding...still haven't found good Mexican in the SC/NC border area. Their chips aren't homemade and the salsa has no zip...like dipping in ketchup...they use good ingredients but once again not flavorful...their Chile Rellenos has no melting cheese...as their chicken enchiladas...just rolled chicken in a tortilla. If you go as of today they might have their menu's...I've gone twice since their opening and they've said they are still waiting for them...I don't know if they will make their food taste any better. I want them to succeed...and I will try one more time...but the jury is still out...you can always drink!!”

“You get what you expect. Very large servings. Good food but not great. Hush puppies were good and bite sized. Service was excellent. We had a 30 minute wait on a Friday evening, which wasn't too bad. I had fried shrimp and it was good. My wife's fried scallops were not the best. Clam chowder was very good. Fries were good. It was a little strange that there was a $1 markup for baked potato. Overall it was a good experience.”

“This little place is awesome. They have a flawless system to handle the rush for breakfast. We went on a Saturday morning around 8:30AM and the place was packed. We went to the counter to order, got our drinks, and were given a table tent to place on our table. After about 5 minutes a young lady brought our order to us. We did not have to wait long at all despite the volume of people during our visit. They have a very efficient system. The food was great, coffee was delicious, and it is very clean. I highly recommend.”

“This was my first time eating at Ella's. My experience was 50/50. My wife and I ate there Saturday afternoon and it was great. We went back on Sunday, Mother's Day, with my son and his family and it was not as good. The fish was semi-burnt. The food tasted like they had not changed the oil out in a while or overheated it. I think they were in a hurry because it was so crowded. Service was great both times. They were very polite and friendly. I would probably go back.”

“We recently ate at the Boundary House restaurant and the food was as superb! A little pricey, but well worth it! The atmosphere was very nice, very pretty inside, not upscale but not super casual either. We ordered appetizers and decided on the croissants which were apparently a favorite, and now I see why! They drizzle them in some sort of sweet, buttery glaze that I’m pretty sure was sent down straight from heaven! I could’ve eaten every croissant in the restaurant!!! Simply amazing! Then we got the cheese fries which were equally amazing! Packed with tons of cheese and came with a ranch dipping sauce! For the entrees, my wife and son ordered the prime rib, first time having it, and they loved it! Me and daughter ordered the ribs, and they were out of this world! Salads came with the meal, as did an additional croissant drizzled in heaven, also a plus. This was my favorite restaurant of the trip, and we ate at several local places in the area. Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants of all time! We will definitely go back!”

“Always love this place. Unlike many of the local seafood restaurants here, I hold this place in high regards to the quality of food. Most places in the area serve their food with such grease that it coats your mouth and becomes distasteful. Bennett's however, has never left me with this experience. Everything always comes out crispy and beautifully cooked, with good flavor and a good separation as well. I can't confirm this but, to me, it tastes like everything is fried in it's own oil vats to prevent cross contamination of flavors, something you don't get elsewhere here. The flavors are always fresh and the staff are always nice. Overall. High quality food, good prices, good staff and environment. Highly recommend!! (Get a shrimp sandwich with mayo, lettuce, and tomato, you won't be disappointed ;)”

“Average breakfast diner converted into a bar and grill setting. Service is just okay - southern hospitality is given lip service, if nothing else. Our food was average, but inconsistent. Some visits are completely different than others, in terms in quality - deep fried "home fries" vs. lazily chopped potatoes; burnt toast vs. buttered bread; etc. In short, nothing spectacular in terms of price, service, or quality.”

“I cannot say enough positive comments about our experience here. Nicole was our server and she took care of us in every way. The food was outstanding in every aspect. Delicious and appealing. We were seated immediately, Nicole gave us our drinks within minutes. She checked in with us frequently and truly made us feel at home. This place has turned into our go to place for breakfast and lunch now. I will bring all our guests here. We are locals and have eaten early with most of the local places. “I stopped by that tea room without a reservation. They only have two sittings a day and reservation is required. Even though I did not get to sit and have tea, I explored the shop and got a beautiful fascinating for my hair. The server gave me yummy blueberry ice tea to go and yummy scone. It was very nice! I wish I could stay longer in the area and come with a reservation.”
