“I tried two types of coffee from bald head. I like strong coffee so they recommended two of their best. Night shift and cape fear. Both very dark and bold . The aroma when you opened the bag was fantastic. From the moment it hit the grinder I had to brew two cups and do a comparison . I could not decide which I liked best!! The next day I took the cape fear and set up my cold brew , I have to say it was one of the best iced coffees I ever had !!!! Just the cold brew coffee and a touch of heavy cream !! Way to go Bald Head you knocked it out of the park !!!! I would highly recommend this brand to anyone who likes a strong bold cup of Joe”

“We had a great visit here for brunch! All of the food was fantastic and we loved the vibe! We had the French toast, seafood grits and lobster BLT. Everyone loved their food. My friend said the seafood grits were the best she ever had! We ordered the Lavender French 75, mimosa, and black tea to drink. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Great drinks, food and atmosphere! Rob has an awesome selection set up and Nick always updates us on their newest additions so we're not missing out. While there is comfy seating inside, my favorite visits are the firepit nights outside with great company.”

“I went into the convenience store for lunch and found actual cheese fries. A friendly service crew working the restaurant section, and a very clean environment. I haven't been in here for a long time because of lack of employees they didn't have lunch anymore, boy am I glad they do. And unlike most restaurants in southport, or wilmington, the dining room was clean. I didn't have to sit at a dirty table and clean it off myself even though I'm in the habit of doing so, it was nice to know the table and the booth were both clean. Finally a place to get a decent cheeseburger in BSL!”

“Excellent store in a wonderful new location. Food quality and taste are wonderful only surpassed by the detail and care given by their staff. Always completely satisfied when visiting either of their stores. The drive through is an exciting addition too!”

“After a morning out shopping with my boyfriend. It was time for a quick pick me up. So why not stop by Brunswick Beer and Cider for a drink and appetizers. We were able to sample a few drinks before committing to one. Then we ordered the Thai chili cauliflower bites. Excellent, by the way!! It was just what we needed too. We have eaten here a few other times & have enjoyed every bite!!”

“My wife and I love their tacos! They are quick to order and pickup and are always made fresh! It might look like a little hole in the wall but if you’re looking for authentic tacos this is the place for sure. Delicious every time, a necessary stop for anyone in the Leland, NC area.”

“Four of us had dinner on Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving. While the food was good, as was the service, my husband couldn’t get a cup of decaf after dinner even though there were a number of people still in the restaurant and it was still open. Our server told us that the coffee had all been dumped which doesn’t seem right when you pay more than $100 for dinner.”

“Excellent food and friendly service. We had a calzone, Spaghetti and meatballs and a kids cheese pizza. Not the cheapest place around, but that's ok when you get good food in large portions.”

“We had such an awesome breakfast experience from beginning to end. All of the staff were pleasant and friendly. We only had to wait about 10 minutes, but the outdoor waiting area is so adorable I would have been fine waiting longer. The inside is small but decorated beautifully! Service was great and the menu had plenty to choose from. Everyone at our table was very pleased! Such a great addition to the area, we will definitely be back!”

“Pretty good, got the Pollo Desmenuzado (plate 2). The salad is meh (honestly I wasn't expecting much out of a side salad so it's fine) but the chicken and fried plantain is excellent. I will go back to try other options.”

“This is you local gas station/convenience store diner. It is tucked away next to the Citgo Gas Station and in the same building as "The Pop Shoppe". When you walk in the door for the convenience store you go to the right and it is right there. You may say that is an unusual place for a diner but the surprises don't stop there. This place is absolutely spotless. Even the decorations on the window sills are clean. The service is very friendly and attentive. To start off the breakfast you have to start with coffee and their coffee is fantastic. I just started drinking mine black and this coffee was a pleasure. It was not bitter at all. The food is prepared for you and not just cooked and served. I ordered an omelet with a side of bacon and my friend order scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. He asked to have his bacon well done. I then asked to have my bacon crispy. The two orders of bacon came out perfect. His was noticeably well done but not burnt and mine was perfectly crispy. Breakfast was great and this is totally a hidden gem. Go out and look for this place you will be amazingly surprised.”

“Portion sizes were large and everyone left full. Breakfast bowl was lacking on potatoes but was still delicious! Egg and cheese biscuit had to be eaten with a fork and knife due to the biscuit crumbling but the flavors were great! One of the better options for breakfast on the island. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Chef delivered the food to the table personally which was nice.”

“Sent a message to check for a table and I got an almost instant response! Awesome communication led us to give Paul’s a try tonight. The Garlic cheese curds are ridiculously good and even a generous portion stood no chance against my kids. Brian came out from the kitchen to say hi( he was answering messenger) and Helena/ Becky offered the best service we have had on Oak Island bar none! We had two burgers and a chicken sandwich. There was zero disappointment in our orders. The food was fresh , flavorful and fantastic. We will be back , Paul’s is awesome.”

“We had the spinach Flatbread and sweet and hot bacon for an appetizer. The plating was amazing beautiful presentation and the flavors were a great compliment to one another. Entrees we had the salmon, their aged bone in ribeye and a shrimp platter. All the seasoning was excellent. The portions were very plentiful and the meal was cooked perfectly. Steak had a great flavor and was cooked a perfect medium rare. Definitely a great experience very glad to have been able to try them on their early stages. The chef was amazing. Highly recommend getting a reservation and visiting. Great work! Loved the place.”
