“This place is a hidden charm that takes me back to the days when my grandfather and I had a regular lunch routine of going to similar joints. Not fancy in any sense. Simple and good food made right before your eyes. The ladies who run this joint are awesome, loving folk and can they cook! Lunch is good here. For example, a day ago I had a hamburger steak with onions, creamed potatoes, green beans and a tea for six bucks and change. I've also pretty much eaten everything else on the menu. The fried chicken sandwich and the club sandwich are hard to beat. But the best of all is the breakfast. For five bucks and change you can pretty much fill up before starting the day. The biscuits and gravy is really good and so is the steak biscuit with home fries. The daily breakfast and lunch specials change each day on a regular schedule. A lot of good folk come here and after a while everyone knows each other. Give it try if you find yourself driving by.”

“This place has potential but my first night there I was not impressed. We went to see 3rd Degree (an awesome local band) and have some drinks. First, what we liked. For the area it is a larger place with a huge outdoor (under cover) space. The inside has booths, tables and bar seating at two bars. Plenty of parking. Mostly what we didn't like was due to them being understaffed. There was easily 100 people inside and I think only saw 1 bar tender, 1 waitress and a guy possibly working the door and grabbing empty bottles. They were all friendly and you could tell doing their best to handle it all, but it took forever to get drinks and food. A couple more employees that night would have doubled their profits. We will be back to see if it was a fluke.”

The establishment is a bit small for the crowd there. The place was busy, but not too packed for lunch. Very friendly staff. VERY. large sandwich selection. Everything here is fresh well prepared. The fried okra is a must. I am not a huge fan of turkey or even sandwiches, but this place is the exception --- all of their sandwiches are great and I think they have the best fried okra of anywhere.”

“Stopped here for dinner on a road trip with my son. Was fairly late and it's possible that they stayed open a bit after close to accommodate us, but they never mentioned it at all. “The food was great. We had Sunday brunch. Good amount of options. Fix your own Bloody Mary was delicious. Lots of pickled options for your drink each was amazing especially green beans and Bread & Butter pickles. We sat at the bar Tony the bartender was also our waiter and he did a great job. We were asked by several waitstaff how everything was and could they get us anything else. I had the Mac&Cheese and my husband had chicken and waffle. Came fresh and flavorful and large portions. Will go back soon to try many of the other things that also looked amazing.”

I found the portions for what I ordered were very large the barbecue was tasty the slaw was good the bun was good and the french fries were good. This is on my mothers side). You can imagine the home made food I would have when visiting them.
