“Truthfully, I didn't expect to enjoy my food as much as I did. I was pleasantly surprised! The menu is simple yet diverse. It's a small building with limited staff but they managed to have our food ready within 10 minutes. There is 1 window where you walk up and order food. There is no indoor dining. There are a few tables outside and a few bar stools. I would have liked umbrellas at the tables though as there's no real shade anywhere to sit and eat while you wait for the ferry. Bottomline: good food, reasonable prices.”

“When I'm on vacation I spend a lot of money on groceries and fishing tackle. This place is a good place to buy both, along with gas for your car/truck and your boat. Not only do they have a great selection of tackle, including custom rods, but I was pleasantly surprised at the selection on the grocery side. Prices were much lower than I expected as well. Surprisingly-good spot to get a lot of the things you need in one stop. Highly recommended.”

“We were trying to decide where to go to dinner in Avon and Ketch 55 was one of the few places we haven’t tried so we gave it a shot. It was pretty decent. Server was great. Food was pretty good too. Got the shrimp bangers for an appetizer. Our party loved them. Fish and Shrimp was good. Chipotle chicken was a hit and who doesn’t like shrimp tacos. We’ll be back.”

“We've tried all the local places and Madison's is heads above the competition. This place not near our home on the Outer Banks ... yet will will specifically take the trip and pass by at least six other places to come get our pizza and subs here. We are NJ natives and take our pizza pretty seriously... Madison's has the best meatball pie on the beach, and the Italian sub is spot on. Nice thin crust pizza, good sauce. Also, the owner is a great guy, the prices are reasonable and the place is beyond spotlessly clean. Oh, and orders are up quick and hot to go!”

Given that it's the Outer Banks and there's a pandemic going on causing everyone to be short staffed and under stocked. They unfortunately don't have the best parking lot layout, that would probably be my only complaint, and knowing that they took over a pre-existing space I understand that this isn't their fault. “What is not to like about Wee Winks? This is the perfect one stop shop in Duck, NC. Their selection of beer, wine and cheeses was all I needed to make a charcuterie board and pair it with excellent wine and beer. Also, great selection on breakfast and lunch to go. Everything in the store is well stocked and organized. Felt pretty safe inside, and much better than going to a big supermarket with tons of people around and long waiting lines.”

The wait times to both order and and receive the food are really long inside. The staff are really nice and my orders have always been correct. “Yes. Do it. The pizza is amazing. Even the pepperoni pizza was done perfectly. Two small kids who loved it. We ate inside and the staff were friendly and helpful. We returned for the BBQ brisket pizza and it did not disappoint. Affordable, quick service, great pizza, friendly faces--you won't regret it. There are small tables/booths inside this business, which is on the corner in a small plaza, so it's easy to miss/pass by.”

“We had subs there on Aug. 21 2019 and the food was great and service was excellent. We told out daughter in law about it and decided to try again but the service lacked alot, we waited behind only one couple and they had to wait on a booth, so gave our drink order and waited so long we decided to just leave. It was not crowded and didn't see our waitress and finally saw her talking to a guy at the bar. It was also hot not sure if trouble with air or not. Our first experience was very good.”

“This place is super cool! The style is great and the cashier was nice. There was a little confusion on the app for me, but the cashier helped me. It was fast and good. I loved my bagel, except that it had a little bit to much cream cheese. The location is convenient for me and the parking was great. There are so many options, which I’m sure are all good, and Waveriders Coffee & Deli is probably one of my favorite bagel places on the beach! I definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for a good bagel on a nice shiny morning at OBX!”
