“Very pleasant experience. Super welcoming and comfy. Good music and atmosphere while easily being able to hear each other speak. Very solid food with nice taste twists you don’t get in most places. Very good beer selection. Highly recommend the cake and beer special.”

“This restaurant is hidden inside a corporate building. It's the only reason I gave it 4 stars, there's no signage going in (noticed later there were signs on the inside of the building, but I don't work here so wouldn't have seen it). The food is very fresh and good, had the patty melt and fries (wow, just wow). Not crowded at all at 12:30pm on a Thursday. Great environment and the service was superb. Seems like a great option for early happy hour.”

“Soooo good! Have been here twice and already planning my next visit. The food is fresh & absolutely delicious! Prices are very reasonable, and the owners, Reyna & Juan are the best!! They put love in the food they prepare and the service they provide. Definitely check them out - you’ll be glad you did :)”

“Everything is amazing! I love anything on a bao bun and these options did not disappoint. The dashi fries are addictive and the dumplings are perfection.”

“Decided to stop here to pick up lunch and I am so excited to have found a noodle spot. The establishment was both clean and gave off a pleasant vibe. The staff was both helpful and courteous. I ordered the Chicken Curry Ramen and the spring rolls. Absolutely delicious. It had the right amount of spice which is great for a person like myself that isn't big on spicy foods. It's definitely worth a try. Totally looking forward to trying out their other dishes.”

“This was just okay. This spot used to be a Philly cheese steak place, then it became this Jamaican place, however, I think they are still selling cheese steaks even though they've changed the name to this Jamaican place. So that's a bit confusing... We ordered the oxtails and jerk wings. Wings were straight. Oxtails were salty, but the peas and rice with the oxtail gravy was pretty good. Plantains were black and the Mac and cheese was decent. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I won't be back. I just know of much better places, but I wanted to support them, at least once. #blackowned”

“We stumbled across this place on accident and couldn’t be happier. we arrived right before the kitchen closed so didn’t order food, but we did enjoy some great cocktails and mock tails from the bar. the service is incredible. everyone is friendly and engaging. we even met the owner of the restaurant who came and introduced himself to us. he told us he and his wife own the spot. black excellence through and through. we will definitely be returning to try the food.”

“Queso Monster is a 1000/10 every time. The best, BEST birria tacos and elotes that I've ever had! The original and flamin' hot elotes are my personal favorite. The customizable lemonades are absolutely delicious, with strawberry pineapple being a classic combination I like to request when I go, but be creative with your options. Queso Monster is the best food truck in Durham, I'm never disappointed, and they're a little pricey but they'll always have my business because they're delicious and so worth it. Everyone is nice and they move fast. I always go when they're on South Miami Blvd. and the space is convenient, but parking can sometimes be tight because of limited spots. Also Saturday's can get busy so expect long lines! But again it'll be worth it.”

“Excellent Zabiha halal store and food market. One of our favorite Mediterranean international grocery stores in Durham. We like their Mexican produce, they have a very good Hispanic product selection. I asked about Indian and Pakistan item, they had some but said they will be getting an order early next year with a lot of Desi Stable items. Will definitely come back to check this place out soon.”

“Simply fresh and DELISH! The food here is outstanding and reasonably priced. Portions are amazing even with prices going up all around us. I ordered pick up and sampled it in my car then decide to just pull over and dine in my vehicle. My food was so hot and flavorful. Although I wanted to order everything, I decided on the corn dog nuggets, risotto, steak and crinkle fries with brown gravy. Everything was amazing! Next time I will try the famous pesto wings and caesar salad. Try Ma's Diner, you'll be glad you did!”

“Today was my first time "throwing some D's on it." My BBQ game just got elevated. I used the sweet and spicy rub/sauce and was seriously impressed. Moreover, my wife wants me to repeat the recipe. Can't argue with that. Going back for more as soon as I'm able.”

“Pupusas were tasty and 3 for $10, but took more than 30 minutes to come out. There were only a few folks who had ordered before me, so it's just a little slower prep than I was expecting from a food truck. Horchata was watered down.”

“Went over Valentine’s Day weekend and there was a limited menu. Great ambiance, music, and service, and you get to see staff plating food in the back—lovely touch. I look forward to trying their full menu sometime. Ample portion of shaved truffle on the risotto. I’m used to less upscale Italian restaurants and would’ve loved to have seen slightly larger portions and bread for the table and for fare la scarpetta. Great service again. Edited to remove comment about them charging for water.”
