“The food and drinks are very good at a very reasonable price (less than what I think they could charge). They have lose leaf tea for only $2.5 where as I rarely see a similar product for less than $4. The cafe is cute and good place to work quietly. Outdoor seating is comfortable and suitable for a conversation. So far I have been twice. The first time I was very impressed... Except for one thing. They got my tea order wrong (brought me a different area than I ordered). However the tea was still good and I rolled with it. They don't seem to ask for a name for the order which I think leads to confusion on who ordered what. I recommend they consider this system if they are having issues with not knowing who ordered what. That being said, looking forward to coming back here and a super positive experience overall. I'm sure if I told them they would have happily replaced the tea with the one I ordered as well. Oh and one more positive comment, they have a bowl of water for dogs outside!”

“There’s a lot of great places to drink good beer in Durham and this place is no exception. Bringing in food is allowed (even encouraged) so it’s a perfect place to sit and drink with takeout from the Durham Food Hall across the street. The covered deck overlooking Central Park is a huge perk and pet friendly, although there are limited seats and they can fill up fast if there is nice weather or live music nearby on the lawn. Beer is really good, I enjoy the Opacity hazy IPA that is one of their standards - plus they have seasonal rotations and a few alternatives for non beer-drinkers. Staff have been welcoming and kind every time we’ve been in.”

“Highly recommend these tasty plates. Their creamy pesto was great. We went on a Sunday evening and they were out of stock of a lot, which I think speaks to the popularity of the food! Staff was friendly/curbside service was great.”

“Fantastic food. Wish the portions were bigger since the food is so good. The pastrami sandwich really is great.”

“Fried chicken and pickle paradise and filing with the right portion sizes of their burger and sandwiches. Seriously though, it’s the first time I’ve ever experienced a fried pickle that wasn’t soggy, genuinely delicious. The batter of the chicken tenders have flavor and the chicken remains juicy. The burger like almost perfect, something juicy or crisp like pickled onions to complete the whole experience or a moister bun. Service, just like Kingfishers, is friendly, lovely, and quick. Can’t wait to come back for another bite to eat.”

“I was excited they were coming to the mall but unfortunately I just wasn't overly impressed. Let's start with things I liked. The staff was nice and friendly. The biscuit had a good taste. The chicken was fresh. Now the things I wasn't so impressed with The spicy tenders were mostly breading with very little actual meat. The mashed potatoes container was only filled up a quarter of the way and I am pretty sure they didn't put gravy on them. It was more of a sauce and less of a gravy. The biscuit was drier than I would have liked and maybe slightly overdone. Overall just middle of the road. For the price bojangles is a much better deal. I was hoping for a Popeyes that was actually stellar since so many are just OK.”

“Plum has a great atmosphere and the decor is really beautiful, I love the quilts hanging on the walls. The food was so delicious! The chicken and dumplings in particular was exceptional. The steak and chimichurri was so fresh and well done. Oh my god and the hush puppies were to die for, and a fun twist. They also change their menu to reflect foods that are in season, which i really appreciate. The dishes are thoughtful and the perfect amount. Can’t wait to try more at Plum!”

“Fried chicken at Popeyes is generally pretty good. They will not give you more than one sauce packet which kind of sucks. Prices are alright but the breading is more crisp than bojangles”

“Loving the new Starbucks! The staff is so cool. It's like getting coffee with friends every morning! JUDY is my favorite barista!! She makes me laugh every-time I go in and she is so careful to get what I want! I change my drink all the time so I can be a challenge!”

“This place has absolutely incredible food and staff. From the very beginning, the hostess welcomed us with an authentic smile. She was very informative. You can see clearly into the kitchen. Most restaurants you can not. It was pretty cool being able to see all the positive energy in the kitchen. The Chefs actually look like they are painting a canvas while making there magic.”

“My friend and I enjoyed our experience at Press. She had been to their older location, so she was excited to try this new location next to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The atmosphere was really cool with modern, trendy furnishings. We had trouble getting service at first because all the staff were running around like crazy. We were finally able to get the attention of the man whom I believe to be the owner, who kindly took our drink orders. We eventually got a waiter to take our food orders but she had a hard time understanding us with the loud background noises. We asked for a side of tater tots twice, but she still managed to not add them to our order. We were very understanding of the confusion though, and it didn't detract from our experience. We both got crepes and they were very good. Our coffee drinks were excellent as well. I think the restaurant could benefit from a more organized staff structure, as it seemed like the staff did not know who was waiting on which tables, and which tables had yet to be served. We also had to ask two different servers for ketchup. Overall it was still a great experience and I am just including these comments so that they can continue to improve and thrive.”

“6:30am waffle house turned me away for cleaning floors, IHOP closed even though schedule said open. Saw Esmeralda's on a Goggle search. I was the only person there. Coffee was great with a Starbucks touch. Omelette and Toast was great and FULL of stuff even though the ham was sandwich deli style ham. Will be back. People seem great too.”

“Agree with everything said here! Toppings were generous, no skimping. Incredible flavors! The bread!! Oh the bread! It absorbed the juices from the meat from the Philly pork without becoming soggy and had crunch without abrading the roof of your mouth. Looking forward to many more sandwiches from them!”
