“Had a great time here, got the steak and eggs and waffles and all came out to less than $10. Came with a group of 4 and none of us paid over $11 for a large lunch meal. Rachel is the best, she deserves a raise. Next time I am in the area I will definitely visit. Food itself was delicious, the toast was better than what my momma makes. Rachel made my friend an iced coffee from scratch, no machine necessary. Y'all should definitely visit. I wish I could rate higher.”

“TRU has a number of attributes that make it a regular part of my restaurant/cafe/bar rotation. They have great sandwiches and salads for lunch, a chill vibe for a glass of wine while getting some work done, and a fantastic patio for a beer while out on a walk with my dog (TRU is pet friendly). The crowd here is eclectic and the staff is always great. In fact, my favorite bartender from a nearby establishment that I used to frequent in a former life (rhymes with “Minda’s”) joined the bar staff not too long ago and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with his addition. The only cautions I will give to those who’ve not been here before are as follows: (1) The ordering system takes a little getting used to. There are no preset items to order by a name or number like at a fast-food place. Every item is ordered a la carte, so don’t forget to add toppings to your sandwich or salad. (2) At very busy times, it can be a little understaffed. Be patient and remember that the kitchen for this place also produces food for folks on campus, so the wait can be kinda long. Consequently, I would not recommend this place for a “quick bite” if time is critical.”

“We always go to Panera bread for lunch and everytime we enjoy ourselves. However, this was our first breakfast and it was to die for. I highly recommend getting the avocado egg white sandwich, it was delicious. Not to mention the servers were extremely kind, helpful and enthusiastic given the early hours. “The Loop is my go-to place for the best hamburger around. Delicious grilled flavor and never any "unchewable bits." Fries are good too. Whole wheat bun option, and several gluten-free options on the menu. Takes a while to be served tho, and don't go there near closing because they start stacking the chairs early and aggressively. This is very noisy and disconcerting... it feels like they really want you to leave.”

The only reason I would say they lost a star as their subs were so good was due to their small store front and their ability to turn over the tables quickly enough as people left. People just sat a a dirty table because no one came to clean them. Though I have seen smaller that only do take out orders, I was at least happy to have somewhere to sit due to the longer than normal wait.”
