“We stopped by today for the first time and will definitely be back. We enjoyed delicious food at the grill (crab stuffed mushrooms, fire burger and mussels in white wine sauce). Also shopped in the market for some local eggs, and stocked up on sweets in the bakery! The service was great in both the grill and the market. “Fantastic little bar/music spot just across the street from the beach in Surf City. They have a good mix of craft beers on tap & in cans/bottles. What makes it so special? The owner is clearly a music lover & has a stage set up with multiple guitars, a keyboard, super cool drum pad, etc that is an anytime/all the time open mic jam venue. We discovered this gem of a place late one evening while on vacation with my relatives from England. We all rediscovered our musical talents & ended up playing & singing until they closed. The friendly owner behind the bar is the happiest guitarist on the stage. I most definitely recommend The Second Row to anyone in the near. You'll have a great beer & a great show!”

“We had a great experience. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table...I'm not typically a "waiter" but decided we would. The app they use let us know exactly where we were in line and how long we'd been waiting, which allowed us to kill some ti.e on the pier! Service was good, he was busy, but did a good job. The crab cake was outstanding!!! The other 3 meals we excellent as well. And we finished with Mississippi Mud Pie which was decadent! We have a new favorite on the island! Dining outside was beautiful at sunset. Couldn't have been better!”

“The restaurant was not too packed, day after Memorial Day we enjoyed a nice steamer, stock was depleted on clams due to the holiday but staff made adjustment and took care of us. “Food was awesome! Service was great. I’m assuming the owner is the older gentleman, he was amazing. Cleaned off our tables and chairs before we could sit and arranged them so we could all fit. Saw him run after a family that walked out after seeing it was crowded and told them he would make room. Everything was clean and staff would regularly check to make sure we were satisfied.”

There was street construction which detracted some from the ambience. Have been multiple times and will continue to support this local business. If you visit Surf City this is a ‘must visit’ on your list.”

“We came for breakfast and had to wait because there is not much seating. Took about an hour to get our food after we ordered. Food was delicious though and reasonably priced. I respect the cook to order however, I feel like they could come up with some solutions to get food out quicker to their customers. I have been for lunch before and did not have a problem with a wait for food. It is a good spot to get grilled food.”

“We ate at Beauchaines on a Monday night and the place was full even then, so we knew it was going to be a great meal. Appetizers – We got the Steak Fondue (can’t remember if that was even on the menu but ask for it) which came out with the most amazing blue cheese sauce I have ever had. It was that amazing. The manager Drew was outstanding in his service, conversation and attentiveness to our party of five. My girlfriend and I split the surf and turf and it was outstanding as well. I am a bit of a foodie and can tell you that the chef at Beauchaines is out of this world phenomenal. The views were spectacular, the service is great, and the food cannot be beat anywhere. Love this place and will be going back each and every time I’m in the area. Absolutely spectacular.”

“Had a little wait of about 20 minutes or so but once seated and eating it is so worth the wait. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, our drink glasses never ran dry. The pizza was very good. Not the greatest scenery out the windows but I didnt go sightseeing, I went to eat. Would highly recommend Max's for extremely good pizza.”

“My friend recommended me try Sears Landing. Well as it turns out, my friend was absolutely right to recommend this place because the food and drinks were amazing. The scallops, oysters and shrimp were delicious. The service was fast, the outside dining atmosphere was delightful. It was an all around fantastic dining experience. We will be back and will recommend Sears to others.”
