“The food is fantastic. I recommend the parmesan chicken with the pesto cavatappi. Very clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating. This is a awesome addition to Cameron Village. Great for families. Great for people who like pasta (everyone?) So happy this new location opened!”

“Went out to check them out this past Sunday and was so happy we did! My family enjoyed some apps, pizza and sandwiches :) My husband and I tried a pecan beer and their seltzer. Service, drinks and food were all amazing ? can’t wait to make this our regular spot!”

“Amazing customer service!!! Employees were kind and friendly. Best burger I have had in a while. Way better than five gives and you receive more food for your buck. Truly worth your time to come to High Top. The decor was nice and modern and stylish. I got the triple burger the “high top way” and house fries. The burger was immaculate, was such a big burger. The house fries had amazing seasoning. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my time at high top burger. Would most definitely recommend all of my friends and family to this restaurant!!”

“Great outdoor seating to enjoy a sunny day and they are dog friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu select was good. The food quality was wonderful. I had the hamburger and it was perfectly cooked. We had a party of 4 and everyone was happy. We did sample the beer and I found it a touch sweet but the other three loved it. I ended up with the smoked beer and it was much better.”

“Possibly the best Greek food I've ever had. Delicious. And great customer service.”

“Been twice and each time the service has been excellent and the food cooked and prepared perfectly. It's not a discount restaurant but also not overly pricey for an enjoyable experience for celebrating a special occasion.”

“Great service, really nice people working there. I really like the restaurant and decoration. Unfortunately, my vegan sandwich was really plain. I was looking for something more tasty. I will give it another try though.”

“I had a lovely evening with my friends, the food and beer was really good. I would recommend the outdoors area be divided into smoking and non smoking halves. Because I wanted to enjoy the outdoors but the smoke smell from surrounding guests ruined the ambience for me. But overall I would highly recommend you try this place out atleast once.”

“Like a diner but built onto the front porch of a house in 1940! Old school, owned by a lovely Greek family, met the current owner's grandmother back in the late seventies or early eighties. Run by her grandson George today. It's already famous, food celebrities have already put it on the map, so if you haven't heard of it or found it yet - check it out! No Ketchup! As they say, Clint Eastwood says so! And for most of it's life, cash only. Today George has caught up with technology and can take payment in all the usual ways. Get the Coke in the small bottle - much better carbonation! :-)”

“My family really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was satisfied from the herbivores to the omnivores. The atmosphere and the staff were great and friendly. It's really great to find a place that accommodates many different food choices. The only negative was the parking, but it's downtown, so hey.... We'll be back!”

“Took my girl here and we absolutely love this place! I didn't catch my bartenders name but he was phenomenal! He whipped me up a dreamsicle icey! Tasted incredible! I definitely need the recipe. We were treated like queens even at the door. This absolutely handsome man at the door checked our IDs and was such a sweetheart. Before leaving we danced on top of the bar and it was such a great experience over all! Will definitely be returning whenever I get a chance! I highly recommend. Bring cash with you so you can do pool tables and small arcade type games. Great mix of music too.”

“We had a great night last night – out to see Brian Regan at Goodnights comedy club. I felt totally safe (meaning no danger of virus attacks!) And everyone was very socially conscious and had a great time just like we did. Great to be out again - having fun. We sure needed a laugh and Brian supplied many!!”

“Morgan Street Food Hall is a foodies dream place. You can eat and drink the day away! It is truly a delight for your eyes and your stomach. Once you walk in, you are exposed to all types of cuisine like Asian, Mediterranean, Soul, Indian and American. If you have a sweet tooth, don't worry there are options for you too....rolled ice cream, homemade cinnamon buns and donuts are available. You will want to sample everything. It's a popular space but then crowd is bearable. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Did I mention the bar? Yep, there is a bar. Oh yeah, there is an axe throwing area as well! Check it out. Enjoy the photos.”

“Having never had an empanada, this was a real treat. I've tried about 1/2 of the different kinds they have, and haven't found a bad one. I especially love the bacon and cheese and pepperoni versions. The beef is not ground, but shredded beef, which was a pleasant surprise. I probably eat here at least once a week. I will take the 12 pack home one day.”

“As friends and I traveled through the sights and smells of Morgan Street food hall, my friends could quite easily find a food shop of their dreams. However, I could not. The crowds and it getting to be late just could not satisfy my appetite. However, on the way out, my eye caught sight of Iyla’s nestled in a little cranny off to itself. The lady who was taking orders and operating the register looked very happy and welcoming. The menu looked fun and enticing. Who could resist hot fried chicken for one. Two, atop a bed of Mac and cheese? I could not. With a drizzle of homemade ranch + pickles, I knew this was the way to go. Since we had a couple hours to get back home, I ate in the car. It did not disappoint. The Mac and cheese was clearly homemade, the chicken hot and flavorful. The combination of all the ingredients made for a warm and palatable, bowl of comfort. Wish I lived closer so I could frequent it more.”

“First time visitor and was impressed with the burgers. My son got a huge cheeseburger which he said was great. My vegan burger was double-pattied and very good. Fries excellent. (Mask wearing by folks doing the cooking was a little hit or miss.)”

“Best Hibachi I’ve had in years. Fresh and delicious vegetables and steak. Definitely top-shelf hibachi, not the typical $4.99 fast-counter mess they call hibachi. Would recommend all day. Honestly, don’t even need the white sauce as good as this is. Really.”

“I would have to agree with the prior comments. Amazing service, food was great quality, and yummy to the taste buds. The portion size (Connecticut Roll) wasn't what I thought it would be for the price. Quite small for a lobster roll of my choosing. I do understand that its good quality lobster. Adding a cheap side would be helpful to fill your consumers appetite. (small thing of corn on the cob, cornbread, hush puppies) I've seen below you've been taking comments into action. Keep it up and you'll be set ?”

“Great new place we were there for their opening, very good food and good prices. It's also a great way to give back, For every burrito or bowl purchase a meal is donated to someone in need with Plate 4 Plate! So go and have good food and do a good deed!”

“Sweet experience at one of Raleigh’s newest scenes! With a plant-forward, local partner-centric menu with delicious protein options, Good Day Good Night was an amazing choice to celebrate my husband’s birthday in the middle of a pandemic. We enjoyed the hard cider, burger, Pad Thai, complimentary flourless chocolate cake & coffee. The Pad Thai was chock full of flavor and texture with fresh noodled vegetables. The customer experience was superb with thoughtful and attentive wait staff. As was the classy but slightly eccentric & complex decor. Bright, colorful and cheery during the day, as evening came, the open concept restaurant area mood lighting was the perfect scene for our dessert and americano made with Larry’s beans. We’ll be back!”

“My Goodness. I was blown out of the water! Best Sushi I have ever had. The service was great and personable, friendly. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in. Everything we had was excellent. We ended our meal with the UNI, Sea Urchin. It's out of this world delicious. You got to go here if you haven't. Our server, Anna, was superb in making suggestion.”

“Had our anniversary dinner here last night. They brought us champagne which was so sweet! The black rock beach and old fashioned drinks were good. The deviled eggs were good and the rolls were delicious. I had the beef Wellington and it was outstanding! My husband had the NY strip and he loved it! The staff was so nice! I highly recommend Oak Steakhouse and will definitely be going back!!”

“Calavera is under new ownership and has changed to be more of a general Mexican restaurant now. Cost has gone down a little, portion size has gone up, and the interior is no longer pink. I've had most of the items on the menu, and the cuisine is authentic, but that doesn't guarantee people will like it. There are daily specials offered on a blackboard near the bar. I've had most of the menu, so here's notes on the food: Tacos: Heftier portion than under the old owner, and more meat options. Picture meat options are Al Pastor and Chorizo. Caldo de Res: Comes in a very large sized bowl. Given the items going in it, you probably don't want a small version of this. Barbacoa: Comes in a very large size, can easily split between two people. Mole: Chicken is not fried, so the skin is there (for people who don't like chicken skin texture). The meat itself is very soft. Enchiladas: Have three different sauce options: Mole, Red (Rojas), and Green (Verde). The other menu option to try the mole sauce if you dislike chicken skin. Tamales: You get one Tamale normally, but the Chicken and Pork tamales are extremely large. Homestyle one is meatless and a more normal tamale size. Picture was taken on a day with a daily special offering one of each tamale. Homestyle is the left tamale, Chicken is the middle, and Pork is the right. Nachos: The meat used in the picture is Al Pastor (marinated pork). Torta Cubana: What you see is what you get. There is a decent amount of meat in it. Burrito: Filling is all meat. Fillers like beans and rice are served on the side instead. Posole: Pork is not completely lean. (I think it tastes better with the fat, but not everyone may). Bowl comes in two sizes, recommend the smaller size. Picture is of the small bowl. If you don't know what to pick, I recommend the Chicken Tamale if you eat light, Enchiladas if you want something safe, and Posole or Caldo de Res if you're starving. If you don't see a picture of it, I haven't tried it, so I can't provide first-hand feedback of that item. All the rectangular plates in all of the pictures are the same size, for comparison purposes. I do not know how the current empanadas compare as of this review as I was more focused on the other parts of the menu, and I wanted to try something different.”

“It’s been a few years since we’ve been here. We recalled the pizza being top notch...however, we were sadly disappointed. The dough was dry and overcooked… reminded me of baked sawdust. We tried 3 pizzas - the Farmer’s Market, Most Outgoing & Most Loyal. Minimal sauce on the Outgoing which also created dryness to the pizza. Farmer’s is ‘meh’....nothing special. Most Loyal was yummy (love the combo w/honey) but again, the dough was dry and overly dusted with flour. The salad was my favorite! We split arugula salad - it was really fresh and loved the lemon thyme dressing. Service and beer are good. LOVE the new updated look, for sure and enjoyed eating outside. I guess our expectations were so high and perhaps our memories were a little off. We’ll be back to see if maybe we just had an ‘off’ day.”
