She was very kind and patient and adored my sweet boy who is teething Right now. She was the only person on the floor because everyone else was nowhere to be found. She had gotten busy so I took it upon myself to help out a little. Once we finished our dinner experience I then busted the table to help her out because she was a one man band! “Perfect bakery and cafe in NW portland with a French flair serving wonderful pastries, breads, treats and also lunch and prepared breakfast. I wanted to keep it simple and therefore, just bought an olive and fennel bread roll with my house coffee. The breads are crunchy, chewy and fresh, and you can see a baker baking bread in the open kitchen. The place fills up during peak hours and so finding a place to sit can be a challenge. But that just further shows the popularity and quality of this place. A great place for awesome hot beverages and decadent and hearty desserts. Highly recommended.”

“In my dream world I exclusively shop here and Zupan’s. They have a wonderful little deli section that has great options for you to eat on site. Plus I love their chicken restaurant. They also always have the most interesting fruits. Ever since City Market closed on the west side I’ve been making trips over here to get the best little treats. The only thing is I wish they would do more events! Maybe cooking classes or cheese tastings. That would be great!”

“The bad - prices can be a little high. A chocolate croissant is $4.15 which is pretty high, and some of the other baked goods are a little steep. They're good, but I would come here twice as often if they were a little cheaper. Sandwiches can take a while to be made. I was the only one in the store and it took about 12 minutes to make one sandwich for me. The good - food is really good. Tuna melt is fresh and satisfying. As far as I know, pretty much everything is made fresh daily. I would check this place out at least once if you live in the area.”
