“Toasted everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. Highly customizable, and friendly staff with overall great bagel. If you're in University City, "Schmear it" instead of spreading once in a while. ;)”

“It’s their opening weekend, and I decided to stop in for some takeout and enjoy a margarita while I waited . I sat upstairs and was greeted graciously and swiftly by the bartender. She offered me a water while I looked over the menu, and then made me a phenomenal drink. It was a perfectly made margarita, and I enjoyed it so much I needed another. The restaurant was pretty busy, and my takeout food still came out promptly. We just finished the grub, and it was outstanding! Can’t wait to try more !”

“Empanadas United is a really great addition to East Falls! I got a three empanadas: chicken and cheese, a ham and cheese, and a guava and cheese. The food came fast, the empanadas were hot, the dough was crispy and flaky, and the cheese was melty. They make them very mild and have a variety of dips, hot sauces, and spicy mayo, so you can adjust spice to your taste. All three empanadas were yummy - my favorite was the ham and cheese. They even threw in a free little pudding treat for valentines day! I will definitely be going back.”

“The Brass Tap is my new favorite spot! It is a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff is super welcoming and friendly, and the food and drinks are great! They have a great beer selection and really good cocktails. My usual food go-to is the chicken tacos or nachos. I almost always have to order the Boom Boom Shrimp too because they’re phenomenal! Pizzas are also really good! Had the brunch for the first time the other day and the Southwest Skillet was delicious! They have awesome specials throughout the week, including happy hour and late night happy hour. Looking forward to trying more off the menu! The Brass Tap has a really nice atmosphere with wonderful staff and great food and drinks. So happy it is here!”

“Had the burger combo and spicy chicken combo. It’s a nice place that stays open till 4 AM for the night owls, considering how late I went and the quality of the food?, easy 8/10. The buns were perfect, the fries tasty and crunchy. Would definitely go again, I recommend the spicy chicken sandwich though. The burger was okay, decent alright burger.”

“I wanted to like Eda’s more than I did. I truly did. I tried while my family was in town and ordered 3 pies. - [ ] New Haven tomato - because we had to try it - [ ] One pep - [ ] One sausage They have heart and are trying to make a New Haven pie. It is just not there. There were some dark spots, but it was so limp and had a slight crispiness to it we all felt disappointed. And it was missing that distinctive char. They don’t have coal-fired ovens, a prerequisite for a NH pie. The next day, I heated it on 550 pizza steel, and it crisped up nicely. Maybe they rushed to get the pies out on a busy Friday night. I wish they had a clam pie to try, and the guy said they are hoping to get one. There’s something about the original Frank Pepe’s ovens that can’t be replicated here in Philly. Don’t get me wrong, it was a solid pie but maybe call it “New Haven” with the quotes to warn those who know what New Haven pizza is so they go in better armed. For the area, I would go to a few other places first, Paulie Gees and Pizzeria Vetri, to name a few.”

“Hidden gem! We were randomly searching for a simple sushi dinner and found this spot in google which is not that far from home. The food was amazing especially for the price that they offer. We were doubting at first because the restaurant looks quite and blah but when we got our order and tasted it, it was really good. I recommend this spot to everyone craving for a satisfaction of sushi and bento meals. We got the NY steak bento and chicken katsu bento btw and the serving was big!”

“The best dumplings I've ever had! They're so delicious you don't need sauce; you can't even tell they're vegan. I like the Spinach and Potatoes but my favorite is the Butternut Squash. I buy them frozen from Market at the Fareway to cook anytime. If you love dumplings, you need to try MoMos!”

“My husband and I tried out this new (to us) Japanese restaurant, after failing to find one with an availability on a Friday night in our neighborhood, and we were not disappointed at all. The food was overall yummy and reasonably priced. The sushi we got was fresh and good in proportion. The Fuki ramen I got was tasty but the broth was slightly below others I had had at other places. The mini key lime pie was also good but it came a bit too frozen; better to eat it after a few minutes. For all of these small negative points, I took out one star for the food. The service and ambiance were great otherwise! So, overall, pretty happy (especially compared to other Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood) and we’ll definitely come back!”
