Lovey Poke & Tea House

Address: 31 S State St, Newtown, PA 18940, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“A bubble tea place that has alternative milk (almond, oat)! They added food after their rebrand but I haven't tried it, just the drinks. As a vegan I was happy to see that there's finally a bubble tea place with that option since they usually use non-dairy milk powder. It's like other places - you can control the ice level, sweetness level, and also if you want a stronger tea flavor. You just need to ask the cashier. A drink is around $7 if you get a large with one topping, but service is quick and friendly - also it's around the normal price for Main Street Newtown. Ambiance of the place is fine. Small, some background classical music playing, well-lit, lots of seating areas. A mishmash of "Asian" decor, some kid-friendly. Keep in mind the regular sweetness level is quite sweet, so if you usually lower the sweetness level at other places, make sure to do so here also. But if you are just trying it for the first time, try the regular level and expect a sweet treat. :)”

“The food wasn't bad, the prices are fair, the atmosphere is fun. The service was less than ideal, left a lot to be desired. But the food was hot and fresh. They made a fresh pot of coffee when we ordered, which was nice. There were plenty of seats of available and we had no problem seeing several tvs so we could watch the game we went to see.”

Joe’s Brick Oven Pizza

Address: 109 Oak Ln suite 105, Cresco, PA 18326, USA

Restaurant

“Only leaving a 4 star so that I can keep this open ended for when I go back and try more. For today I only grabbed a plain slice and a white slice. Had some people I know tell me that Joe’s Brick Oven was the real deal so I had to stop in and find out. I love a good white slice and figured trying the plain was necessary to gauge against others in the area. The sign says Brooklyn Style pizza and anytime a place says that I’m skeptical right off the bat. Well…this is in fact Brooklyn style, and it’s good. Quite good. The sauce on the plain had just enough sweetness that it wasn’t overly acidic. The amount of cheese was perfect, and the dough had good consistency and flavor. Nice crispy crust! The crust was even crispier on the white slice and the ricotta was seasoned up nicely. I’ll absolutely be back to try out more but for now, Joe’s Brick Oven in Cresco, PA - Didn’t Suck! “This Dunkin location is hit or miss. While I enjoy the convenience of having Dunk in New Oxford, the hassle is that this shop always seems to mess up my order. I'm either missing something. My drink is not made, or a sandwich is made wrong. The staff are friendly and always correct the mistakes.”

Domino's Pizza

Meal delivery Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Tried this place for the first time last night. Being a Friday night, I expected a wait. It was way longer than I had expected. It took an hour, but the staff were all inside busting their butts off, they were just that busy. I would maybe suggest turning the phone off next time they get that busy, it was nuts in there. Tons of people waiting inside for their food to be done, wait times were far from accurate, and the phones just kept ringing. I felt bad for the staff having to run around like that. Food was steaming hot, got it fresh out of the oven. Everything tasted great. I’d definitely recommend, just not on a weekend night.”

As a vegetarian I was happy to see Veggie Stromboli. That's the first item I wanted to order. We also tried the fried cauliflower, waffle fries and stuffed cheesy bread. Super friendly staff!! I'm going to make this a weekly stop.”

“Staff was really fun. It's a small local diner, if you like that style, you'll love this place. Honey fried chicken was amazing, the fresh haddock was delicious. Prices were very reasonable, but seriously...THE PIES!! Pies were amazing. I may have to drive 5 hours from DC just to eat here again sometime.”

Sparks Restaurant & Bar

Address: 994 Market St, Meadville, PA 16335, USA

“The drinks and food are delicious and surprisingly cheap! Even the specialty drinks here are only $5-9 when they would be $12+ minimum at other local bars. The atmosphere is also super inviting. There is a small digital fireplace at each table against the wall that you can adjust to make you feel warmer on the cold days. Overall, no complaints. Highly recommend this comfy spot!”

Served with a side of birria stew for dipping and sour cream." online ordering was easy, food was hot and ready, great portion for sharing or a second meal....and absolutely delicious! As the front and back of the house, Tom is amazing! For the end of the day, also add a bottle of Apple Ginger Lemon honey mead....”

Lilith

Address: 238 Spahr St, Pittsburgh, PA 15232, USA

Restaurant

“Got a last minute reservation here and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The place is very small, so if you’re a larger human, you may have to contort past heads and tables. I had an old fashioned (it was stiff) and they brought us “the bread”. 10/10. We had the lobster rolls, and they’re solid as I’ve had before but absolutely highest marks on the quality of the seafood. I even joked that they must have a “plug” because across all the courses the seafood was the freshest I’ve encountered here. The flavors are there, the textures are there, but everything is technically well done and plays nice together. The dessert deserved its own paragraph. It sat me down. If I could eat one of those every day my life would be made. The butterscotch, the mango… please order it.”

Mezze

Address: 5700 Centre Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, USA

Restaurant

“Where do I start! We learned about this place from a friend who lives nearby. They have a soft opening with the grand opening due in couple of weeks. Had time to chat with one of the owners. They're two friends who are passionate about good food. One of the owners is the chef. They make everything in house from scratch. We're talking hummus, falafel, kibbeh even the pickles. Waleed, the owner we spoke with told us they only use avocado oil for frying and olive oil for everything else. The kibbeh is made by a Syrian lady who works at the restaurant. This makes kibbeh truly authentic. What about taste? We ordered kibbeh, falafel and the cauliflower salad. We ate the kibbeh and falafel in the car, they were so good. We were pleasantly surprised that we found extra goodies in the bag. The owner gave us a plate of orange blosson labaneh with dukkah (a sweet labaneh) and few samples of their own Tahini and bag of fried pita pieces. Excellent place for those looking for a healthy and delicious food. Vegetarian options are almost all of the menu - except kibbeh.”
