“Hunley's is a great place to go to enjoy a real sports bar environment. The people that work there are friendly and fun to be around. The place really hops on Wednesday night at 9:30 when they have karaoke. DJ Aaron loves to start off the festivities by singing the first song of the night, but after the warm-up, the real talent comes to shine. A good time will be had by all.”

“This place is very convenient with menus at the entrance and to go areas. They serve their customers with a cheerful attitude. Waiting on days with less guest will only take a few minutes. Their food tastes amazing and they do a good job of making it look good. Zoes Kitchen, ordering of fast food and serving of restaurants.”

“Definitely worth a stop. Nothing extravagant, but simple and cozy. One of the quieter places in the area. Food was very good and worth the price (cheaper than most). If you're looking for a quick bite, something other than fast food and only want to spend about 20 bucks, this is the place! The establishment could have been slightly cleaner, but that's about it.”

“Tried the new original filled donuts and I must say they are very very good. I could eat about a dozen of these things. Hard to beat s good Krispy Kreme donut and coffee. Great for a quick breakfast stop or late night snack run.”

“Food was great and the service was excellent. My husband had the quail with red rice and garlic bread while I had the pork chops with squash casserole and thunder...both were very good. The chops were crispy, nicely spiced and juicy. The quail was crispy and the red rice had a nice bite to it. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Nice big slices with a crispy batter and pimento cheese on top...yum! Levi was a fantastic waiter...funny and made the meal so enjoyable. Too full to try the desserts but I'm sure they are probably as good as the meal was.”

“This place is amazing and deserves all five stars for its delicious food. We’ve been there several times, tried their pizza and pasta and every time we left absolutely happy. And their tiramisu... Oh my God! It’s just perfect. A must-try! So far the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been in Charleston. I can’t recommend enough!!!!”

“Flew in from CA and stopped by for a late night snack. Crab & spinach dip was delicious, fish tacos the bomb, mac-n-cheese delectable. Good beer selection. Was surprised how much West Coast craft draft they had on tap. Expected more local or East Coast. Service was outstanding.”

“This is one of the best meals I've had in Charleston in a long time! Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We ordered extra at the end of our meal to take home, just because we knew we'd want more later.”

“We came here as part of a food tour. The cake was unbelievable! We plan to come back! The case of desserts was incredible! The carrot cake and red velvet cake looked unbelievable! There is a bar or table top seating. Big doors that open to let the sun and sounds of the city in! Delightful!”

“Fun bar on Meeting Street! It's just down the street from the Markets. Was attracted to this location due to the GIANT Chicago Cubs logo painted on the window. Once inside, everything is typical beach bar- wood paneling and wood bench seats and dark. Everything is decorated in Chicago items, Hawks, Bulls, Blues Brothers, you name it, it's there. There are even some classic video games! The food options are also very wide! They offer burgers, apps, chicken items, deli meat sandwiches, and lots of beer options. The sweet potato tater tots come with cinnamon butter! I was impressed with the food and happy we ate here. Would definitely visit again.”

“Absolutely love this place! Originally from NY, and since we moved down here, we have been looking for good pizza. And look no further. The crust is thin, and tender, not chewy, sauce is sweet, and cheese is greasy just like from Brooklyn. And the staff is always a delight The Brave Lil Toaster”

“The staff was incredibly nice and the service was great. I felt bad for how other customers talked down to the staff because the back of house staff was trying to catch up from a party that had come in before. We enjoyed our food and server despite the little wait we had to get our table. I’d recommend this IHOP to anyone who has patience and understanding for any restaurant that goes through periods in the day where the staff struggles but can bring the best service no matter what is going on in the kitchen. Thank you again Toni for being so kind and awesome.”

“We had friend for the weekend and he suggested Anson's. He had lived here 15 years ago and this was his favorite place. I warned him that a lot can change in 15 years, but we wanted a new experience and he wanted to relive his memory. Well, no disappointments. We were early, but our time at the bar was enjoyable with a great conversation with the bartenders. The Crispy Flounder was our friend's favorite, so we both ordered it. If you go, this is a "must order". The service was attentive without hovering over us. Hate hovering. Would we go back? Definitely.”

“My husband and I stayed at The Dewberry and had breakfast at Henrietta's. The food was delicious! My husband got the Benedict which comes on a cheddar biscuit and he loved it. I got the house-made granola which comes with yogurt and fruit. It was the best granola I have ever had and wish they sold bags of it, it was that good. I also got a croissant which was flaky and buttery and comes with yummy strawberry jam.”

“Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is an awesome place to get lobster rolls on Market Street in Charleston. I like when places keep the menu simple and do one thing really well which is the case here. The service at Mason's is fast and efficient and the rolls are worth it. Getting my tasty lobster roll so quickly after ordering is one of the high points as I was already eating within minutes of entering. I had a really good experience here and look forward to being able to come back again.”

“Outstanding atmosphere excellent location on the corner of the market and East Bay and because it is first class that you're very accommodating I'm adjusting your order and meeting your needs. I highly recommend this and the Rooftop Bar above the hotel also. I must see in Charleston”

“I enjoyed my time here. This was for a Father's Day celebration. I was also here for Mother's Day which was a fantastic experience I recommend anyone to have. On Mother's Day they had a fantastic buffet which was to die for. I found Mother's Day to be surprisingly affordable for what you received. For Father's Day they really didn't do much at all. The menu was highly expensive and many people walked in and walked out after seeing the menu. To me it would have been much smarter to adjust the prices and have a menu that was more affordable. Those same people who left would have paid you and would most likely return for a future visit. Finally our waiter was more interested and helping the 12 females who died in the middle of the restaurant then helping the rest of us. I had to refill my glass personally twice and it would have been four times had the pitcher of water had not run out. Because of this I will most likely not return unless there is some sort of special that warrants it. And for the $300 bill I would have thought the restaurant would have done more to ensure my satisfaction. I could have eaten anywhere but I chose 5Church. I certainly should not have had to go to another restaurant to eat after I ate here.”

“Wow. My group of 13 were vacationing from FL and didn’t know much about where to eat in Charleston. I found Cru Cafe quickly on Google and we headed that way. Parking was a little tight and the restaurant was busy. I was concerned the wait may be too long and my friends wouldn’t want to wait. The host/manager (super nice guy with a gnarly mustache) greeted me and told me he had a room upstairs that could accommodate my large party. He said “just give me like 5-10 minutes to get the room set up.” What luck! The waitress was polite and worked her tail off bringing our food and drinks up and down the stairs.. Food was spectacular! I had the goat cheese appetizer and the tagliatelle shrimp pasta. Everyone else said their meals were amazing. After we paid and had left the restaurant, super gnarly mustache guy came outside to ask how our meal was and thanked us for coming. My wife and I are considering coming back to Charleston for our anniversary and Cru will be a lunch spot for sure..”

“We were a large group of 10. Beverage orders were taken quickly and delivered. Then it was a long wait to get the food order and a long wait for the food. The seafood was delicious! Creative preparation and presentation. But it was extremely warm in the restaurant! We were all sweating. We asked if they could turn on the AC but were told the owners only allow it when there is a heat advisory. There were no fans in our section so air was stagnant and it definitely impacted our enjoyment of the restaurant experience. Keeping your customers comfortable should be a higher priority.”
