“Went to EKT for brunch. We were blown away with the food and service. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles, and the bacon-egg-cheese breakfast biscuit sandwich which was extremely on point! They also had these tiny croissant, cream filled pastries which we couldn’t get enough of. Oh, and the home fries were the best I’d ever had!”

“Didn't even know Western Sizzlin was still in business. Driving and saw it, turned around and stopped in. Glad we did! Pretty much country style cooking. Good variety on the salad bar. That day there was the optional seafood bar. A lot of toppings for a baked potato or sweet potato. I had liver and onions. Don't make it at home 'cause the hubby hates it. Yummy. The building is very old and restaurant outdated, only reason for the 4 star, not 5. Servers really friendly as was the cashier. Will go again if in that area.”

“Awesome food here. We enjoyed the ninji roll. We also had the hibachi meal for two that offers steak, chicken and shrimp. Our steak was slightly over done but still very tasty. The decor was nice, everything appeared clean. I would definitely eat here again if I'm back this way. We ended up spending around $90.00 for two. That includes the tip and a couple of Japanese beers. ????”

“It was a Friday night. Workers had called in sick. Manager was having to train a new hamburger maker ( on a Friday night) and it just wasn't a good time!! I have to commend the manager, she remained calm, working hard, but service was very slow inside, as they were working to keep drive thru going.”

“There is not a single better burger in downtown Clemson. The food is fantastic and as fresh as it gets. I dig the retro vibe of the place as well. In addition to the burgers being great the fries are bang-up. They use Yukon Gold potatoes to make their fries and they're crispy, fresh, and almost buttery tasting. Regardless of what you order, make sure to try the Mojo sauce! If I had any complaint it would be that the portions are a bit small for the price.”

“ITSURWIENER is a weird restaurant, split into the restaurant section and the bar section. I can't attest to the latter, but the way the restaurant works is as follows: you order what you want at the counter (I got two hot dogs) and when they are ready, you go to a second area where you can see all the toppings - think Subway or Moe's. The gimmick is that there are a ton of different (and unusual) toppings you can get. One notable topping is apple sauce (???). The hot dogs themselves were pretty good, and didn't taste or feel boiled, like at Skins. I was really disappointed by the mac-and-cheese I got on one of my hot dogs. It was kind of mealy and didn't really taste like any mac and cheese I've ever enjoyed. The space is huge, which makes it really noticeable when it's empty, which was the case for both of my visits. I really want to like ITSURWIENER, as hot dogs are one of my favorite foods, but I can't give it anything better than a 3/5. It's okay, but the massive empty space and overabundance of unnecessary toppings are kind of a bummer.”

In upstate SC this is especially a challenge with its too numerous fast-food chains, fried chicken & BBQ joints or one-off buffet establishments. Happily, we discovered Bake & Cook a few years ago. While the restaurant’s interior is bland its food is anything but. Instead, each dish is freshly prepared and carefully presented. The Thai centric menu is diverse and the food is always delicious and healthy! We are deeply appreciative patrons.”

“We went here with a large party who was visiting from out of town. Their cocktail menu is great, the bread with the selection of house butters was very good as well as the calamari. The flavor of the fried green tomatoes was good in flavor however they were not tender. It did take a bit for things to arrive at our table however it was not a ridiculous amount of time, I do like that they take reservations. I am hard to impress with spaghetti sauce and theirs impressed me, I highly recommend it. In short I would definitely go back.”
